It's official. We're going home! While concluding the rites ceremony, the Khatagtai has announced her intent for the tribe to move to the Azim Steppe. The next month will be spent in progress of moving. Plotting is encouraged, as each character will take this news in their own way. Some have never seen the Steppe. Some never thought they'd see it again. Some think themselves unable to return. While the intent of the Khatagtai is to keep her family together, some will take different routes than others to get there in the end. "The Move" section in the Discord has been added to facilitate scheduling and plotting, and provide general information about the move and housing concerns.

IC Chain of Command [ For IC questions / guidance / conflicts ] ☼ Should a tribemate have an issue or grievance they must seek out an Elder Sibling (beginning with an Akhmad) with their issue. From there the Akhmad will direct them on the path to follow. Do not deviate from this path. ☼ The Council (Khaalgachiin, Surgagch, and Zövlökh) is composed of Elder Siblings and they should be treated as such; however, they have other responsibilities. Seek an Akhmad first, unless the grievance or guidance relates to those on the council’s area of expertise. OOC Chain of Command [ Strictly for OOC Issues ONLY ] ☼ Officers > Company Leader - Do no NOT bypass the officers. ☼ All issues pertaining to any violations in OOC conduct must be forwarded to the Officers along with visual evidence to support any accusations. Current Staff o FC Leader: ☼ Khatagtai [ Khantyer Dotharl ] o IC Council & Elder Siblings: ☼ Khaalgachiin [ closed ] ☼ Surgagch [ Ahjier Urumet ] ☼ Zövlökh [ Yesulun Qestir ] ☼ Akhmad [ Ganzorig Dotharl ] ☼ Akhmad [ open ] o OOC Officers: ☼ Ahjier Urumet ☼ Yesulun Qestir

Tribe Leadership The tribe leadership is composed of the female Khatagtai and her mate, if applicable. o Khatagtai [Lead Female]: Khantyer Dotharl A label, though misunderstood prior, reclaimed and stands as the one who leads in whole the tribe of Nüür Khuudas. Her position is without contest, refined and maintained through continued bouts of strength and will and a determination to see the whole of the tribe kept secure and prospering. o Ikh Ezen [Lead Male]: [ open ] This is the mate to the Khatagtai and equal in command. This role is blessed to one that has taken the heart of the Khatagtai and has earned his place within the Tribe through care and trial. His position is without contest, preserved by his own strength and will, as he is to aid to the well-being of the tribe as a whole and ensure the safety of those within alongside the Khatagtai. ☼ IC Requirements: Having the will and drive to assume this position is only part of it. As the Khatagtai values strength and one's ability to lead, such are the qualities that will be looked for in a partner, as well as the care her mate would take with the tribe. This would mean BONDING with tribemates outside of the the Khatagtai, participating and aiding in daily activities and events, and overall having an agreeable relationship with most within the tribe. ☼ Rites Completed: Rite of Entry, Rite of Naming, Rite of Fortitude, Trial of Constitution, Rite of Courtship, Rite of the First Mate. ☼ OOC Requirements: Membership within the tribe for no less than 30 days, main combat class to 70 (up-to-date) on current content is preferred. ----------------------- The Council The council is composed of Elder Siblings who have taken on additional key roles within the tribe. o Khaalgachiin [Caretaker]: [ closed ] Not only skillful with crafting arts, but of the land as well, the Khaalgachiiin stands as the epitome of the tradecraft arts (as well as keeping the tribe well-fed). For those that do not take to the field in battle but to forage from the earth, or would better see their brothers and sisters well-guarded with wares by their own hands, are encouraged to speak with this keeper and lend their aid, as well as better learn their art or share what they have learned. o Surgagch [Trainer]: Ahjier Urumet There is no life without conflict, no peace without war, yet it is the role of the Surgagch to ensure that should there be a call to arms, those that would fight are well and able. A master of various arts and a lending hand to those in need, this trainer exhibits a balance between the physical and the arcane, that they may guide the willing (even if not necessarily the strongest) to aid their kin in arms. o Zövlökh [Tribe Advisor]: Yesulun Qestir A mediator, a guide, a bridge between the ruling of the Council and the will of the Heart of the tribe. Such is the burden of one named Zövlökh. The will of the Heart and the Zaluu are received and understood, then counselled to guide them along paths to ease their concerns. They are knowledgeable in the workings of the tribe as well as its traditions, and stand as a guidepost to both the knowing and not. ------------------- The Heart Just as the body cannot live without a heart, thus can a tribe not be without those within it. Governed by the Akhmad, the newly inducted and veteran alike are guided into the sects where their skills would prove most useful. They are treated as equal, each an essential part to keep the tribe alive and thriving. o Akhmad [Elder Sibling]: Ganzorig Dotharl & [ open ] The Governor/Governess of the Heart. Their insight both in and out of conflict is a cherished trait, one which is used to ease the many members into roles that best fit their abilities. Their role is to also minimize conflict within the tribe as much as possible, only taking concerning cases to the Council if they cannot find a resolution for the conflict themselves. ☼ Rites Completed: Rite of Entry, Rite of Naming, and one other Rite/Trial [of the applicant's choosing] MUST be completed. o Tarialanch [Caretaker Sibling]: Healers/Well-being While most are known to have an understanding of how to feed and mend oneself, there are those that take the extra step to ensure the keep is in health and good spirits. ☼ Rites Completed: Rite of Entry, Rite of Naming ☼ OOC Requirements: The applicant must have either [All healer classes to 30 and Culinarian OR Alchemist to 30] or [One healer class to 60 AND either Culinarian OR Alchemist to 30] BEFORE speaking to the Khaalgachiin about their position. o Baildagch [Warring Sibling]: Content The warriors, hunters, and born fighters; these are the defenses of the tribe to keep it whole. The toughened skin and scale resilient against the forces of even Nature herself. These are the first to be called upon in times of conflict, as well as a lending hand to those that need it whether in battle or on a hunt. ☼ Rites Completed: Rite of Entry, Rite of Naming ☼ OOC Requirements: The applicant must have at least 2 alternate classes to 60. [1 dps/1 tank, 1 tank/1 healer, etc] OR 1 Tank, 1 Healer, and 1 DPS class to 50 BEFORE speaking to the Surgagch about their position. This rank does NOT automatically put you on an Endgame static. Placement is determined by overall adaptability to Endgame fights and mechanics as well as personal schedules. [ You are NOT obligated to participate in Endgame content, however it is STRONGLY encouraged. If not, keepers of this rank ARE obligated to assist those either leveling or in need of content progression. ] o Ajil [Tradecraft Sibling]: Crafters/Gatherers Menders of garments, hunters for the home, and foragers of the lands. These are the lifeblood of the tribe for they ensure all within are clothed and the larders are never empty. ☼ Rites Completed: Rite of Entry, Rite of Naming ☼ OOC Requirements: The Applicant must have either [ALL crafting/gathering classes to 30] or [THREE specialist classes to 60] BEFORE speaking to the Khatagtai about their interest in the position. o Ahk Düü [Siblings]: All-Arounds The whole of the tribe, those whose Rite has been recognized and given peace to be called kin among the whole. These are you brothers and sisters to aid in all things. ☼ Rites Completed: Rite of Entry o Khüükhed [Young Siblings]: Aegirbataar Dotharl, Bragaltan Oronir, Mohmmubayan Qestir, Zi’batu Buduga The children, who live with and are cared for by the rest of the tribe. ----------------------- The Untested Any child born of the Dawn Father and Dusk Mother may seek entry into the tribe, though their will is to be observed and tested. o Zaluu These under trial, the Zaluu, while are not to be treated unkindly, are not wholly deemed kin to the tribe until assessed. They are granted access to the home, but their actions are monitored. They are permitted no guests beyond the tribe until their Rite of Entry has been fulfilled.

About the Rites Rites and trials are undertaken by prospective and establish members of the tribe. They are used to prove one's worth and intent to the tribe and for growth both in physical and mental capacities. Ranks may also require the completion of certain rites and trials to attain. The Ceremony A gathering in which we look upon the accomplishments and feats fulfilled by our brothers and sisters of the tribe, as well as revel in the bonds shared by our kin. The governing body of each sect will stand before the tribe and speak on the accomplishments of their members, with optional presentations if needed. Any that seek to be part of the tribe or be recognized MUST attend. Not only does this serve as an activity check for the tribe, but a means for each to look to the members they may not fully know, and encourage plot and bonding. ☼ Time: The last day of each month | 5pm PST/7pm CST/8pm EST ☼ Location: Mist Ward 5 (10, 11) | on the beach, gathered near the rock Note: Since in theory, many would attend at the end of the month, to make sure that EVERYONE has the opportunity to give their presentations without audience fatigue, please have your exhibitions ready ahead of time. (This means pre-writing, macros, or external sources.) If you need assistance with preparations, please reach out to your fellow members ahead of time. And as always, leave room for err and the unknown. Tribemates and Guests, in order to diminish disrespect during these important times, please exercise the following if you are to attend; o Keep your emotes to a minimum, not only to limit the amount of text spam in chats, but as a courtesy for those that have taken the floor. No one wants to be disrespected however 'unintentionally' by behavior/actions that has nothing to do with their rite. o Respect those that have worked for their rite. No one wants to be blown off after their work towards achievement, so do not dismiss another for your own personal issues. o Personal conflict on site is no longer tolerated. If an issue arises for whatever reason before the rite, it ends. Plain and simple. If you wish to continue it after, then it may be done. Otherwise, continued agitation will result in a removal from the event regardless if it is your rite. o To Ahkmad ranks and higher-- if you hold the position, it is your responsibility to ensure these rules are kept to and peace is maintained during these events. If necessary, use 'tells' to get matters under control to prevent spamming. The Rites and Trials o Rite of Entry This rite is rather straight forward; the applicant who wishes to enter the tribe makes their intention known to the Rite Master who then assigns some kind of task which usually will take place over a few days. Once the task is complete, the applicant will typically then be accepted into the tribe and may ask to undertake the next Rite: The Rite of Naming. o Rite of Naming This formality rite, as some call it, is an assigned task of a hobby, joy, or some other thing the new tribe member must undergo, then perform some kind of open expression of it in front of all the full tribe members. Upon completion, the new applicant will be given a Tribal name (which is one used during other Rites as a formality) and considered a full tribe member with all the rights and benefits (as well responsibilities) there in. o Rite of Fortitude This rite is very simple; fight other members of the tribe, one after the other. The Rite Master shall select the ones beforehand, the order decided at the site of combat. ☼ OOC: RNG will be used for combat following standard rules. The order will be decided randomly by the Rite master/surrogate by having each fighter roll /random, highest goes in. o Trial of Perseverance You must prove your drive for survival in the lands by running from the mountains of the northeast before the Great Steppes to the lands of the Southern Desert. You may not use beasts, magic, or aether to travel in any form; your two feet must carry you all the way. From each land that you pass through, you must bring proof of your treading to be seen by the tribal elders and approved. ☼ OOC: Proof of this rite can consist of either slain parts (pelts) or herbs found across the land, depending on the role sought within the tribe. o Trial of Constitution You must fight your way through enemies on foot to the highest peak of the lands; the Whales Crown. Once there, you must meditate for 3 days with no food or drink upon the things about you and the experiences during that time. Upon reaching the feeling of inner peace, you must then paint the scene before you and present it to the tribe, protecting the painting as if it was your own soul during your return. ☼ OOC: MIA IC for 3 days, screenshot to “paint the scene” o Trial of Harmony Find yourself in a quiet place, one you find intimately familiar in nature. Listen to the world and the sounds it creates. After a single passing of the sun, using what you have heard around you, form a song, poem, or other metered hymnal and recite it, with clarity and voice, to the tribe. ☼ OOC: Prefer original song, but any can be used. Must be recited ICly. o Trial of Fire One must go forth into the great woods and seek 3 logs of no less than 3 yalms in length and set them into a triangle fashion, reaching toward the heavens. About them you must place branches of ashen wood, no less than 18 ilms from post to post until the logs are encircled by them. Within the structure, one must place an effigy of your greatest personal demon. You will gather 9 items of personal value that attach you the land and sky. Then, you must gather the tribe and present your demon, explain its presence in your life, and then burn the demon to show your willingness to fight it at every turn. During the burning, you will recite the demons name and how you will bring it to heel as you dance about the fire, showing each of your personal items in turn, and then tossing the items into the fire to ask the land to give you the strength to keep the demon down. o Rite of Courting A blessing by the Khatagtai (and/or another tribe elder, if any are from another tribe) followed by a public announcement of the courting which will be done by the suitor of the smaller tribe/outsider (or, in the case of intra-tribe, the gender that is not the bloodline trace (e.g. if Dazkar, and blessing approved, the male would announce it, as the female is more important.) The Khatagtai will then announce the blessing publicly to enforce and make it so. o Rite of First Mate Not only requires that the Trial of Courting to be completed, but the intended parties must also complete three sub-rituals to hold this honor; Provide the Dowry, The Cleansing of the Soul, and The Trading of Scales. ☼ The Dowry: To be provided by the lesser of the genders, as according to the higher stationed tribal member. Across tribes, it can be agreed on by the elders, otherwise in tribe, it will be more obvious. The dowry has nothing to do with money; the tribes care not for the actual money for wealth, it is about the strength of the tribe and the ability to feed, clothe, and home it. There for, the lesser gender (or outsider of the tribe) must present the greater with a dowry of herd animals in order to fulfill the promise of not only sustaining the tribe but also being able to provide for them. ☼ The Cleansing of the Soul: This part of the rite requires each member to publicly renounce the loves of their lives from before, saying their names out loud and burning small scripts of paper with those names upon them, to show the leaving behind and cleaning the soul and heart of the feelings for those people. By publicly, this does mean someplace with many people, who can hear the to-be-mated, and not just tribe members. The aetheryte centers in the main cities are good places for this. ☼ Trading of Scale: This is the most painful (physically) of the rite; each of the to-be-mated trade 2 scales between the other; One from the chest plate, and one from the facial plate (any of choice, though it should be the same relative placement on each person). Each to-be-mated, while in the same room with a Mol (or at least a trusted healer), shall be handed to the Mol/Healer, who then places the scales on to the other provider and seals them in place with red hot mythril spikes (one to be provided by each to-be-mated) until the scales are able to stay in place without the spikes. Once that is complete, the couple will then be dressed into proper wedding attire and then be wed.

Some rules you may be given one warning from an officer when they are found to be violated [1]. Some are grounds for immediate dismissal from the company [x]. Membership & Activity ☼ Currently, the membership cap is 35 active members (and 10 alternate characters). ☼ Any main character inactive for 30 days+ or alternate character inactive for 14 days+ without notice will be removed. ☼ Due to recent community trends, there is a currently a moratorium on 'war-faring' characters. Please check back later when the numbers of the tribe sects have stabilized. ☼ Qestiri or 'mute' characters are now under provisional admittance. Nüür Khuudas Rites and Trials ☼ The Rites are an integral part of NK RP and are expected to be pursued when appropriate. Certain Rites are required to be taken to obtain Ranks and permissions within the FC in character: - The Rite of Entry is required to become a full member of the FC (Ahk Düü). - The Rite of Naming is required to choose a path within the tribe (Ajil, Baildagch, and Tarialanch are options) and to pursue further rites and trials. - The Rite of Courting and Rite of the First Mate are required for IC relationships, and preferably prior to starting a family (see Pregnancy document on Discord). ☼ It's understood that real life/OOC obligations will always comes first, but if there is a continued neglect of the Rites that is displayed both OOC while in the FC and ICly, we suggest applying at another time, otherwise the Tribe's consequences will be reflected on your character. Respect ☼ Hateful or violent speech of any type will NOT be tolerated. This includes imagery or content that is harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, spiteful, invasive of personal privacy, or objectionable in a reasonable person's view [x]. ☼ Slandering your fellow tribe members or the tribe itself will NOT be tolerated [x]. ☼ While not all within the tribe are guaranteed to get along, be aware of the IC/OOC line and do not let IC actions cause OOC tension [x]. ☼ Treat others with respect outside the tribe, in duties, and other instances [1]. Drama ☼ Do not perpetuate drama or gossip. Being the source of constant drama (mainly pertaining to OOC activities that conversely affect in-game) will NOT be tolerated [1]. 'Read the Room' ☼ On the whole, Nüür Khuudas is an OOC 18+ free company, which means the members within are expected at act with a reasonable level of maturity and a level-head. - Know when 'jokes' are appropriate and when they are not [1]. - Keep political and controversial topics OUT of the FC chat or Discord [1]. - While we do not allow underaged persons in the FC out of character, there ARE in character children. Any underaged illicit activities or even tasteless joking in regards to persons underaged is NOT permitted [x]. - Know when to 'let go'. No one wants to be 'wrong', but disagreements happen. Drawn out disagreements will not be tolerated [1]. Roleplaying Standards ☼ Proof Yourself. To some, RP as truly an immersive experience, and nothing breaks that immersion more than broken or coded grammar and spelling. Sometimes typos happen, but excessive carelessness over a long period of time will eventually be grounds for removal as it cheapens others' experiences. ☼ Respect Consent. Metagaming (using OOC information to manipulate a situation ICly, or your knowledge of something becoming your character's knowledge without the character having reason to know it) and God-moding (forcing your IC or OOC will upon someone else's character without their consent, or performing an action on another character without it being an 'attempt') will NOT be tolerated [1]. ☼ Know the Line. Maintaining the IC/OOC Line is an important part of being a roleplayer. Do not take things done in character as out of character rejection, attacks, acts of love, or any other thing. Remind yourself of the line so that you can stay on the proper side of it and enjoy all the ups and downs of your character's experiences [1]. ☼ Related to the membership activity requirements, this is a Heavy roleplaying company. As such you should plan to attend events hosted, think of hosting some yourself, and also be around to get to know your fellow tribemates during slice of life roleplay. Showing up only at events or roleplaying with one person only to excess will result in removal from the company [1]. NOTE: The rules are in place to maintain a fun, drama-free RP and PvE/PvP environment. The rules apply to actions performed in-game and/or the Discord channels. You will be asked to agree to them during your entrance interview. By agreeing to the rules, you accept that breaking them may result in removal from the FC, and in some cases there will be no warning given if the offense is bad enough. Do not play the white knight. If you have a problem with something another FC member has said or done or think they have violated any of these rules, take screenshots and speak to an officer (Juliasra, Ahjier, or Yesulun) immediately. Do not bypass the officers when a complaint must be made. We'll do our best to get to the bottom of things, and you can remain anonymous.

The Tribe A sect of the vast Xaela Au Ra populous, Nüür Khuudas stands apart as an Eorzea-founded culmination of various tribes, named and unnamed alike. Though Dotharli led, in essence the tribe stands as a haven and guidepost for the wayward or longing children of the Dusk Mother and Dawn Father wanting to reclaim the blessings of their bearers, as well as those wanting to find peace among a communal whole. The tribe prides itself on keeping to the traditions of their kind as a whole, as well as adapting some rites and cultural aspects of the different tribes to make all feel part of their new home. The tribe is Xaela dominant, however, Raen are known to be accepted under special circumstances. Each application varies, and all are ENCOURAGED to seek their entry in character first. The Homestead Located on the Azim Steppe, the Homestead (Shirogane 18th Ward, Plot 28) consists of family and individual yurts. A stones throw from Reunion, the iloh is a home and gathering place to many of the tribe. The Tradepost The tribe also operates the bustling Khuudas Tradepost on Vylbrand (Mist 15th Ward, Plot 26), where those in the tribe bound to Eorzea live and carry out daily responsibilities and life in general. To Join the Tribe ☼ The applicant should strive to first meet the tribe in character by attending events or stopping by (Shirogane Ward 18, Plot 28--relocating from Mist ICly at this time). Set up a meeting out of character with one of the Elder Siblings or a member of the Council. We want to get to know you a little out of character before you join, too! ☼ Once the applicant expresses interest in joining the tribe in character to an Elder Sibling or member of the Council, they will have a short ‘interview’ to get a feel for the character. ☼ If the applicant feels like a good fit, they will be provided a discord link to read the rules. You must agree to these rules and tell the Elder Sibling that you agree to be given an invite to the Free Company and, at some point, and in character Linkpearl. Familiarize yourself with the other channels in the Information Hub at this time also, as these channels contain important information about the tribe and rites. ☼ The applicant is now an untested Zaluu, an entry rank in the tribe. The Zaluu should attend a Rites Ceremony in-character (last day of each month at 7pm Central) and request the Rite of Entry before the tribe. This is not optional. In the rare instance that a group of 3 or more seek to join the tribe at one time, the group must perform their Rite as a whole. ☼ Upon completion of the Rite of Entry, the Zaluu will become an Ahk Düü, a sibling in the tribe. The Ahk Düü should begin thinking on their chosen path (Ajil, Baildagch, or Tarialanch), and find their place among their new brothers and sisters. Out of Character ☼ The Discord server is provided for announcements, text and voice chat, event planning, calendar, out of game RP, and tribe rules/rites/etc. ☼ Free Company chat is out of character and actively used to announce RP, hunts, and to chat. An in character linkpearl will be provided for RP usage. ☼ The Free Company buffs are have nearly 100% uptime and specific ones may be requested if needed. ☼ Members of the Free Company are encouraged to assist one another in their PvE/PvP endeavors.

What: Archery Class (Beginner's) When: Wednesday, Aug. 2nd, 8pm EST Where: The Bannock, Central Shroud IC Details: Sayuri Ryoko, of Nuur Khuudas tribe, and Linkshell Nophica's Crown, will be leading a beginner's archery class for those interested in learning how to use a bow. Activities will include; learning to craft your own bow, learning to string your bow, learning to fire your bow, and possibly a friendly competition, should there be time. OOC Details: Participants are asked to please have their carpenter class to lvl 2, so that they can ICly craft their own bow. Materials will be provided. Additionally, participants are asked to direct message me with their characters proficiency with a bow, as it may pertain to the shooting competition we may have if time allows (if not, there will likely be future classes, if there is enough interest). [align=center] Nuur Khuudas[/align] [align=center]Shining like a jewel among the glittering sands of Lower La Noscea’s coast stands a trading post. It’s towering structure a testament to perseverance and ingenuity that brings bristling trade traffic through the Mist’s gates. Affectionately referred to as the “Den” by its denizens, the Khuudas Tradepost is a thriving business run by the members of the Nuur Khuudas; a tribe of AuRa. Most days it’s quite possible to find all manner of Xaela arriving, fresh from the hunt or you’ll find a Raen or two practicing their craft or tending the various gardens that occupy the Den’s ground. Every day though, you’ll find people of all races entering the Post, intent on buying or trading handcrafted goods made of the highest quality. Be careful friend, should you find yourself in the Den on a day the Khaalgachiin opens her kitchen to serve up the tastiest foods this side of Othard. A sect of the vast Aura Xaelic populous, Nuur Khuudas stands apart as an Eorzean founding culmination of various tribes, named and unnamed alike.
