A diary and a making of dvd...That's it. Oh, and the security token.

Tadir's eyes snapped open and he shot to his feet as he heard the woman's voice. He slipped around his desk, stepping over several piles of paper to greet her and try to get a look at the woman's face. The light from the window was casting a dark shadow across her face, all but obscuring it from view. "I don't believe so." He extends his hand. "Have we met before?" Tadir looks panicky for a moment, glances around at the mess on his desk, then back to the woman. "Did we have a meeting set up?" He shakes his head without waiting for an answer. "Either way, can I take your cloak? Get you a drink?"

The American CE sucks. I want a tumbler and I collect maps...so...why can't I have that instead?
-
That was remarkably accurate.

Sun streams brightly through the open window overlooking the fishing piers. Tadir leans back in his chair, enjoying the feel of the sun on his face. He props his feet up on his desk, which is almost completely covered by papers. Discarded articles and rough drafts litter the room. His feet nudge a lantern sitting on the desk in one of the few clear spaces next to the desk plaque that says, "Editor-In-Chief." The walls of the office are covered with photos of a hulking Roegadyn wearing a green visor. In almost every picture he has a cigar in his mouth. The pictures depict locations all over the world, from the scenic to the cities. There are also several prominent photographs of him with various celebrities. Directly behind the desk are three pictures of Tadir West, the most intriguing being the picture of him looking very familiar with the Admiral. Across from the desk the words Tonberry's Lantern can faintly be seen in reverse on the frosted glass in the upper half of the door. A large green visor hangs from the hook next to it. Tadir rubs his hands over his face, enjoying the sun, and wonders if the wretched man is ever going to make an appearance. He wants this issue taken care of and finished. The article was actually good, much to Tadir's surprise. That made the upcoming discussion all the more difficult. He would much rather tell the man...Illuminati...what a stupid name. He would much rather tell Illy to shove it, but the paper desperately needs more writers. "So here I am," Tadir thinks, "waiting for a decent writer with an absurd sense of drama to show up so I can find out who he is...wonderful way to waste my time..." The Editor sighs, letting his head fall back against the chair again and enjoys the warmth of the sun on his face.

So is this thread now going to be for Release characters? If so I'm still Tadir West on Besaid. Limsa Lominsa.

"Very well. Tomorrow afternoon. Have him come to my office. We can work out the details in person, including the issue of his anonymity." Tadir nods, then smiles at Avalon. "Sorry for the short tone there. I wasn't expecting a letter like this. It was a pleasure meeting you, though I wish it had been in different circumstances." He gives her a polite nod of farewell, then turns to leave through the side exit. "Have a wonderful day," he says as he walks out.
-
He nodded at her response, scratching his chin again. "As a matter of fact there is. I need you to deliver a message to your employer. Please tell him that nothing goes in MY paper without my say so. And I won't put anything in from someone I haven't met. If he wants this," Tadir pulls the envelope from his pocket and waves it, "article in my paper he's going to have to come see me himself. I don't take kindly to the presumptuous tone he takes here. I'll read over the article tonight, but I need to meet this Illuminati." He nods, slipping the paper back into his back pocket. "Tell him to see me at his earliest convenience." Tadir's voice is dripping with sarcasm. "But if it isn't soon then there is no chance his article is going into my paper." Tadir folds his arms across his chest and looks at the girl.

Yup, this kept me up til around 4 this morning. I meant to get to bed by 1... and so it begins. All I can say is thank god for FFXIV.

I love it! So cute. If it's done in photoshop I'd consider making the layer with the rabbit on it a multiply layer so we can see the wood grain it's painted on. That's my only suggestion. I love the image. Good job!

I've found that running the game windowed at full resolution fixes these issues. I appreciate that seeing the very bottom of the bar up at the top (after dragging it as high as it will go of course) can get annoying, but it's worth being able to use the rest of your computer.

Tadir smiles, watching the girl try to uncrinkle the letter on her knee. He reaches down and plucks it from her hands, saving it from her further ministrations. As he investigates the outside of the envelope he asks the girl, "So what's your name?" The Editor cracks the seal on the envelope with his thumb and slips the letter out. His amused smile is gradually replaced by a brow furrowed in confusion, then finally a frown of annoyance. He glances up at the girl with a frown of annoyed disbelief, then flicks through the following pages. Rolling his eyes and tilting his head back, Tadir puffs up his cheeks and slowly blows the air out. He refolds the papers, places them in the envelope, then slips it into his back pocket. Rubbing his hand across his face, the Editor realizes the the girl hasn't answered him yet. He puts on a smile, for her sake, and asks, "Your name? And who is this employer of yours? Illuminati isn't exactly a descriptive name."

How is vodka a luxury? Everyone knows it is a vital necessity.

I found this on facebook and feel I should share with anyone about to start playing Sid Meier's Civilization V. CivAnon is here to help Civilization addicts find balance and a way to live life without one more turn. http://www.facebook.com/CivAnon#!/CivAnon?v=app_4949752878

I think timezones are stupid. We should go to a global time. I have no problem with sunrise being at 8PM...
-
Also, how can we get onto the server if the game isn't released here yet?
-
Good notes. I'm checking out the loadstone now.

"You don't happen to be the elusive Mister Tadir West, are you?" the girl asks the fish. "Blub" The fish looks up at the girl with big, bulbous eyes, then continues its' constant patrol of the tank. It notes without interest, for it is a fish and has no higher cognitive powers, the man leaning against the doorjamb at the entrance watching the girl watch the fish. Then it continues swimming and forgets that either of them exist. About a minute later the fish sees a girl watching him swim past. It then notices a...Food! Tadir half waves to the Elezen behind the counter, then leans against the doorjamb and watches the girl ask the fish the question. With a smirk he shoves off from the doorway and walks over to stand behind the blonde girl. He leans in and says softly, "I hear you're looking for me." Tadir smiles and waits for the girl to turn around.

Really? I didn't realize that. I don't think it effects the overall point, but thank you for bringing that up. *The more you knoooooooooow* *Rainbowwithastar!* The auto Translate is a nice feature, but not a necessary one. We can all coexist.
-
I have no problem with other languages. That is what the auto translate feature is for. As for asking us to move, which I think is what your post was about, absolutely not. And I think it's rather presumptuous to think you could ask something like that. If that's not what your posts have been about, I'm sorry. We, of course, will be welcoming to people of any language on Besaid. I request you do the same. I would assume not everyone in Eorzea speaks the same language. There have to be groups sticking to old ways, or raised in communities with different languages. If I can't understand you, and you can't understand me, that's okay. It's a global game.

Oh. I'm new to steam and am not sure how to add friends on it. >_> And you used kimiji, not tadir, right?

I usually neglect my military in favor of cultural wins. In fact, I don't think I've ever conquered the world through military. I always feel bad. I prefer cultures joining mine by choice.
