  1. As are you, then. Edit: And forgive the mistranslation, then. I'm happy to concede that I usually assume the meaning of semi-familiar non-english words
  2. Then you could have stated that as your agenda from the beginning. My agenda, meanwhile, is encouraging the RPC to choose its server based on what is healthy for its unifying interest as a group: roleplay. If there aren't super-amazing-progression guilds, guess what? I've led my fair share in the past, and I'd be more than happy to kick people's asses into gear again to get where I want to go. You know my powergaming habits first-hand.
  3. While we're at it Armi, please tell me why you're bringing up low population concerns when you previously stated the following in defense of Lindblum:
  4. While your assessment of the servers may be correct, I have to disagree on some points. For one, there is no knowing how much of Lindblum's current population is from the RPC, but judging from my own observations of the forums, my linkshell, and friends of mine, its a significant minority of us that actually have access to open beta right now. Us withdrawing isn't going to bring the population down so significantly when we're only perhaps 40-50 people. Second, even though other servers may have more overall popularity, Lindblum still gains momentum in the general public over most of the other server choices. This makes it more likely, however small that chance may be, that the server will be more congested for a longer period of time. Finally, the key difference between those 4 servers and a server such as Besaid is that Besaid is a blank slate with few established communities declaring to roll there. No matter how the populations end up, there's no reason to risk unneeded conflicts of interest by sticking to a server that has already been claimed by these other communities.
  5. I don't believe there was any concrete evidence of that, outside of some random "Where are you rolling?" polls. I tried to find more info, but there really wasn't much. I believe Besaid remains, for the most part, unclaimed by any major groups. Lindblum, meanwhile, definitely has a presence from Core.
  6. I was actually just talking about this with some people. I'll admit that I personally still lean towards Besaid, as by the same logic its relatively 'unclaimed' and still a 1 chocobo server like the FF 2/3/5 cities, but still benefits from its modernity and recognition in the FF fanbase. Obviously there's still no way to determine these things, and in all likelihood all the servers in the initial 10 will have a fairly healthy population in the end, but I like to imagine that by virtue of its origins, Besaid may attract more players in the long-term, allowing for a healthier, above-medium population.
  7. Now that votes can be re-cast, I don't think we have any cause to change our minds once we have our results, but thats just me. I'd also like to reaffirm that Cornelia, Lindblum, Mysidia, and Figaro are aiming to be the most populous / host to various subgroups or significant gaming communities. If you do intend to vote elsewhere than your original choice, keep this in mind.
  8. I believe at least two or three of BlueGartr's guilds are headed to Lindblum as well.
  9. By the time the PS3 version hits, server populations should be settled and overcrowding a non-issue. I believe we're more worried about organizing folks for the first two weeks, and avoiding queues for the first three months.
  10. 2 Chocobos for Cornelia and Lindblum atm, 3 for Figaro and Mysidia. All the others at 1. Edit: And Besaid gave birth to so many great characters, qq.
  11. I can't speak for other servers or cities, but Gridania in Lindblum is pretty heavily congested, in part by a number of organized groups. Rocs Lock and /v/ among them.
  12. Hmm...it could be worse right? I think wait times and server lockouts are something we were hoping to avoid Sure, it could be worse. It could be better too. But meh, go democracy. :joker:
  13. I agree, Eeam. I had it pegged as such from the start >.> But I'll go where the vote takes us.
  14. Remember to keep an eye on the news room, although Lindblum is our current lead, it may also be Core's new home.
  15. The post on the beta boards says this is the list "as of Sept. 1st", so its likely that there will be more opened up, but I really don't see much point in holding out for additional servers that may or may not open up.
  16. Only for the first two hours. I believe 1am EST is when we'll be able to see the results, but as Castiel says, we're waiting to hear where larger communities are organizing.
  17. I'm going to personally advise, for the same reasons of people going to Kefka / Sephiroth, against choosing Figaro or Wutai. Other than that, I'm not too familiar with some of these cities, and encourage people to keep an eye on the news thread to see where other groups go now that the names have been changed.
  18. Confirmed: http://www.ffxivcore.com/index.php?app= ... ch_id=5007
  19. Looks like server names may be FF cities: Huntari of FFXIVCore managed to get through the muck and supposedly got on the beta tester's site where they posted a list of OB servers. It's unconfirmed right now, but here it is: Cornelia Kashuan Gysahl Mysidia Istory Figaro Wutai Trabia Lindblum Besaid
