Well, it been longer since I've been here then I thought. Oh well, I'm back again. What's the RP scene like on Balmung these days?

I've decided to put the Lodestone blog functions to use and so started a In Character journal on it. Anyone is welcome to read and comment on it here or there. Currently renting a room in Ul'dar Occupation (class): Training as a Gladiator to improve her skill with the sword and shield. AFFILIATIONS Family: Mother, W'Skarzai Rahan, Miqo'te Seeker of the Sun (Died in the Calamity) Father, Aragorn Brightshield, Hyur Midlander (Died in the last battle of the Calamity) Friends/Allies: Everyone she knew died 5 years ago. Enemies / Rivals: None that she knows of. APPEARANCE Skin: Light skinned Hair: Dark Blue Eyes: Yellow Body: Slim Height: Slightly taller then an average Miqo'te Female Weight: Average for a Miqo'te Female Distinguishing Features: Accent/ Speaking Style: A mix of Miqo'te and Hyur speech style. Fashion of Choice: Mostly practical and comfortable. She has been known to dress up when the mood strikes her. PERSONALITY Motivations: To become an accomplished adventurer like her father, as well as learn more about what really happened during the Calamity. Disposition/Temperament: Kind, but some what hesitant to let people can close. Annwyl also doesn't really think to ask others for help. Hopes: To be a hero like her father. Fears: Losing someone she cares about again. Religion/Philosophy: To do what feels right. Sexuality: Annwyl doesn't know, she has had no time to think about it in the past five years and she hasn't let anyone, Male or Female, get close enough to her to explore. Positive Personality Traits: She stands up for what she thinks is right and is willing to give a hand when it is needed. She is also willing to give almost anything a try. Negative Personality Traits: She doesn't really consider anyone as a friend and so doesn't treat others like they are, even if they consider her a friend. INTERESTS Likes: She has a great fondness of fruit as well as fruit drinks and has recently discovered her love of sitting down with a good book. Dislikes: She can't sleep in the same room as other people, and must sleep away from other if she is out in the wilderness.

I am pretty close to someone in real life who has had a pretty horrible past. Nothing like seeing their mother get killed or being a slave, but still some pretty horrible stuff. the kind of stuff that made them hide it deep down and pretend it didn't happen and feel like they couldn't tell anyone about it, while having certain subject upset them deeply and sometimes giving them panic attacks seemingly for no reason. Only being able to open up to me after knowing each after for a long time and feeling like they could trust me %100 to be even told a little bit. I'm not saying at all you shouldn't do it. I just thought I would share some personal experience to help you get into the mind of something like that. Hope it helps.

I've always wanted to try Pen and Paper gaming and role playing. Every time I've joined a group to play it, the group fell apart before anything happened. So if you are willing to have a complete stranger who has little experience in it to join you, then I'm all for it.

The name is ShadowRyuu. Been lurking on this forum for the past month now, after I pre-ordered Realm Reborn and decided to look for the RP community. I've Rped in a few MMO's. Started with WoW and stayed there for a long time. Once I got tired of that game I sorta bounced around and Rped out side of MMO's for a while until I found another game I liked. Most recently I RPed a fair bit in TERA, even though the Lore of that game wasn't really thought out and contradicted itself a fair bit. And now I am here. Even though there isn't as much information on the Lore of XIV as I would like, it's still good to know they are working hard on it and the story. Makes me excited to play. So, yeah. Yo.
