Let's take a moment to realize what Square Enix and Yoshi-P and his development team did: They spent the past three years completely overhauling an MMO, 2-3 years faster than a conceptual one comes out. They have probably sacrificed more in their lives in the past three years than what we really know to make sure we will have faith in them again. You can send him thanks so that he and some of the team can read it at PAX. Let's show Yoshi-P that we do care despite all that is going on.

I would imagine the servers can handle a lot more than what they limited to last time as they just wanted to test. So I think it should be fine, hopefully. But, I can't really tell ya sadly I wish I had more info

You can use a different brand wireless card, but it is preferred that you should be using the same type. So linksys with linksys will definitely help the install process and make it a lot faster as well.

Doesn't appear to be a limit, friends of mine just got kicked as well with the same error. I think it's just a huge amount of people trying to log onto small servers.

You can cancel character creation and when you get back to the "lobby" area you can click new character in the top right hand corner and then select load appearance data.

I would personally say that using a Dual Band Router is kind of useless if you aren't going to utilize it's wireless capabilities. Honestly you would be fine with something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833124479 BUT if you want Gigabit ethernet for your network data transfers, I would recommend the SMART Linksys EA2700-NP. I think that would fit just fine.
