[align=center] [/align] [align=center]Background [/align] IC White Wolf Syndicate is still fairly new on the blackmarket scene, their operations only having taken part in Ul'dah so far... they seek to broaden the connections they hold with other company's and individual merchants alike. OOC This is a chance for White Wolf to get involved withroleplayer/other companies, we're looking to form ties so that events of various sizes can roll out involving interaction between the companies instead of putting a focus on NPC interaction. [align=center]Event features Making connections [align=left] Mingling with one another to create connections and hopefully make the blackmarket, or generally shady(in a good way) side of the community thrive. It's always nice to meet new people right? [/align] Brawling [/align] A gathering between merchants is all well and good, but a good brawl on the side for entertainment is always welcome. There will be a designated pit for one-on-one bare-fist fights between volunteering competitors. No use of aether, no weapons, just brute force and fun. Of course, there may be a lack of people wanting to step up,so White Wolf will be offering up 100,000 Gil in prize money for those who manage to stay in the ring, and beat 3consecutive challengers before exiting. This prize gil will be split amongst the ones who achieve such a feat at the end of the event. Yes, that means if you are the only one to beat 3 others in row, you get the whole prize. [align=center] - Rules for brawling - [/align] [align=center]IC [/align] No weapons No use of aether No armor (Including Jackets etc. It's shirts and such, or nothing at all) No restrictions on use of body [align=center]OOC [/align] Fights are done through Rolling (Rolz.org so rolls can be seen) Fights -can- be done without rolling, as long asboth competitors agree Argueing over the results of a rolled fight will get you a warning, 2nd offense and that's you're brawling rights gone. Argueing over the results of a non-rolled fight will get you no warnings, but will mean you have to roll any fights from now on (both people involved, this rule only applies if arguing is done in public... between friends in whisper, feel free) [align=center] [/align] [align=center]Gambling [/align] Of course, with merchants and shady people crowding around a good brawl... it would be dumb not to expect a little gambling wouldn't it? Since that's the case, White Wolf will be running a gambling service for spectators. It is yet to be decided if real Gil will be accepted in the betting process. -IF- it is, there will be two different brackets. Real/RP. There will also be a 500 gil per match limit due to the risk of destroying White Wolfs reserves. [align=center]Bar [/align] There will definitely be alcohol at the gathering... right now it's looking like a casual NPC run bar kind of deal due to lack of a location that fits everything we're trying to do with event. And the lack of staff that could man the bar. (Having more players to interact with is always nice) If any free companies that run bar nights would like to step up to fill this spot, then you're more than welcome to. However, do take into account that White Wolf wouldn't hire anyone who doesn't fit the whole shady thing. Law abiding people and all that. [align=center]Location [/align] [align=center] The Location hasn't been determined yet, either the Silver Bazaar in Thanalan, or x22,y12 in Central Thanalan. Any suggestions that may fit everything we're looking to do would be welcome. Time & Date [/align] Unknown, We're looking to accommodate as many people as possible. As such, I'd appreciate those interested to let their availability be known in any posts you make on this thread. We're looking at doing it within the next 2 weeks however.

I haven't played much on Gilgamesh but Balmung is the legacy server so there's going to be a lot of 1.0 veterans on there, and it also means the RP community is more established BUT Gilgamesh is a great opportunity to forge new RP relationships and communities so really it's a 50/50 toss up. The RP community on Gilgamesh I would say is more established than that of one on a world of warcraft Original server. Thats not saying Jezune is wrong. But from a Gilgamesh players point of view there is absolutely no downfall of joining Gilgamesh. and if your worried about players. Gilgamesh has a community of over 200 roleplayers I belive. (1 linkshell maxxed out and i believe another is close)

Servers down again, that lasted long

I just got in through a 30-second queue ten minutes ago. They didn't scrap anything! No que is popping up for me or a friend, all we're getting is ''it's full, try again later''. Glad some people are getting in though.

So the servers come back up, and they've decided to scrap the entry que into the server... looks like i'm not getting in any time in the next few months lol.

It's nice to see that sleeping from 5am -> 3pm didn't solve anything. T.T

I'm going to take this time to finish off FF13-2, i pretty much nailed through it yesterday and wanted to complete it before my time is swallowed up by this. Got like... 1 and a half chapters left.

I'll be leveling for a while before I jump into roleplay. This is because i'll be on Gilgamesh and plan on being one of those who manage to stay ahead of the game so i'm set for when the server is not so fresh. I also plan on leveling a character on Balmung once i've finished everything for my main class on Gilgamesh. Best of both worlds ey?

Don't worry about the server status, it was mostly due to open beta (we suspect), it'll be worth waiting on getting into the server. If the worst comes true then I suspect the longest waiting period to get into the server will only be around a day. Don't lose faith! lol.
