  1. Rayman Legends came out today, I'm probably going to be killing time playing it I also picked up Killer Is Dead, I'm amazed a Suda 51 game flew over my radar, I loved Killer7/No More Heroes
  2. Might have been Odin then if it was in central, but 10k seems like nowhere near enough XP for being underlevelled and somehow gold ranking him And yeah, Cancer is Costa Del Sol gave me a good 20k XP when I gold ranked him (plus a pet) so if you need a big influx of XP, ask around for any boss FATEs and when they spawn next, I guarantee someone's probably keeping a timer
  3. Pretty much, the entire thing's become a self-fulfilling prophecy People get on early, hear that people can't get on because of crowding, refuse to log out because they don't want to become one of said people, becoming a part of said problem Still, coding's a pain, so "flip a switch to kick afk" isn't as simple as that wording puts it, it'd probably be a week long change to the system
  4. Looks like things are thinning out, the west coast at least is closing in on bed time, so I expect the server load to get not as bad Now the only decision remaining is if I want to play all night and go to classes tomorrow as a zombie or actually sleep like a normal person.
  5. Yeah. Shit hit the fan. The SE offices on both Hemispheres must be pure chaos right now
  6. Often Yell is between general and /say, you can hear it from a pretty good distance, but not over the entire zone I kind of wish they had called it general, shout and yell are too similar
  7. Well, some cultures do consider americans to be a virus, I guess we spread and caused an epidemic.
  8. Is it wrong of me to want a server crash and/or reset so that I can manage to get on before other people do? It's selfish but at this point it's pretty much first come first serve,
  9. Cheers man, now I just need to jump through the fifty other hoops and errors going on in this website. I'm starting to ask myself if it's worth the headache now
  10. So, I decided to make a stupid decision and deleted the email with the activation code for my preorder, the wording on the website made it sound like it had already registered the code. I'm trying to hunt down how to get another email sent to me, but Square's website is literally one of the most unworkable places I've browsed, can someone give me a bit of direction?
  11. Hmm, having let this set for a day this is probably one of the weakest stories I've written, hopefully my future projects will be better. One of the good things of a bad situation storywise is that I've left plot holes that I could turn into stories once I have a better grasp of where Z's story will head.
  12. [Forgive any implausibility in the lore, I'm still not terrible read up] Let me tell you all a story, a story of a tribe of monsters whose names only lives because the twelve willed it, I speak of course of the Raiku Seekers of the Sun, and of the last known member of the tribe. Years ago, the founding members of the Raiku had a falling out with their tribe regarding their treatment of other races, they believed all other races were beneath them, that they should kill, conquer, and dominate those that the rest of their kind were befriending. When it became clear that the majority of the Seekers were against them, rather than throw themselves headlong into a losing clan war, they retreated, laying claim to a lush forest on the farthest end of the Gridanian border on a steep mountain. The area of the black forest the tribe called home became known as the woods of sorrow, a place where any race that wasn't a Mi'quote would be warned off by an arrow to a tree beside them, and then one to the throat should they not heed said warning. Following an assassination of an entire gridanian unit, of which only the bones of non-Mi'quote (the Mi'quote of the squad were never found at all) were found at the edge of the forest, rumors began to spread that they had gone feral, cannibalistic, and that setting foot past the territory marker was a death wish. Z'karu's parents, and Z himself, were born into the Raiku tribe at the height of their hostility towards invaders, Z's parents only did as they had been raised, showing their hostility towards intruders all the same, But Z himself never understood the reason for their hatred, a fact he questioned his elder on when he came of age. Though understanding, the elder was infuriated at the lack of resentment, and sent the young teenager out of the village to wander the world, "To see for himself the cruelty of the other races." Z'karu walked the world for some time, though he did indeed see the worst of Eorzia, it was always followed by the best. For every bandit that shook him down, every highwayman that stopped him, there were one, two, sometimes up to ten people who would come to his defense, to protect him for no other reason than the kindness in their hearts. Though there was always one problem, when he introduced himself by his full name, especially around other Mi'quote, they would shrink back, wary or outright afraid of him without him understanding why. It took a week before one of his saviors, who he had come to travel with for defense, told him of the Raiku's true nature towards others, a fact Z, who had seen the good of the world, grew to be horrified with. He was heading home when Dalamund fell and Bahamut destroyed everything, he did what he could and dove into a hole in the ground that broke through into a cave system, protecting him from the destruction the dragon god rained down. After it had passed, he ran through the forest, faster and faster, until he came to his village and saw it burned to ash, its position on the mountain most likely having made it an especially vulnerable target. Though he mourned and wept, as all who know loss of family and loved ones do, when he recovered, he realized there may have been a reason for this... the Raiku were the bad guys, the monsters, the ones mothers tell their children to be careful of. Though he didn't discredit the idea of other survivors, he saw none at the sight and did all he could, to walk the world. His resolve was clear, he was going to become a hero and redeem his tribe's name, but first, he needed knowledge, and tools. Asking around and travelling eventually led him to Lomsa Limonsa, and the Arcanist's guild, where his training, and new life, would begin.
  13. Well that's good, I kind of wish it'd go into the PMs though, mostly because I've been up all night and will probably sleep to noon, but ah well.
  14. Well, that's an hour to get my arse to the inn so I'll come back to a week of rested XP, god willing there's not a wipe.
  15. I can't remember the time zones, but isn't it day in japan when it's night here and vice versa? The lack of communication might be because the only employees awake were the ones on the graveyard shift.
  16. This mess reminds me of the first few days of tarnished coast roleplaying on GW2, once it sinks in that we're not backing down most of them will either learn to deal with it or leave. The most important part of that statement of course being that we don't back down.
  17. I used mine in RP last night to some extent, carbuncle's a glowing weasel so it really can't do much more than squeak or obey orders. I dismissed and resummoned him a few times during the RP, but ICly he was never gone, when I "dismissed" him, he simply climbed up to a perch on Z's shoulder (which is an adorable image and the one they used for the arcanist class artwork)
  18. I tried to log in and was in the gridania loading screen for about half a minute before the error kicked in again, I felt like I was so close So soul crushing.
  19. I. Basic Info Characters: Z'karu Rakiu Primary character:Z'karu Rakiu Linkshells: Limtless Limitless Sky, LSOOC Primary RP linkshell:Limitless Sky II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Medium to heavy depending on my investment, may shift to light to medium with college starting. Views on RP combat and injuries: Generally used to rolling a d20, but the honor system works with people I trust to not godmod, if I feel I can't trust them, I'll either try to diffuse the situation ICly or outright leave. As for injuries, I don't really enjoy healers who use "magic heals all", generally if I use a healing spell I'll bring them back from lethal wounds but tell them the rest has to heal on its own. Views on IC romance: ...not good? Is that an alright answer? After a point an IC romance to me becomes so dependent on your partner being with you that you're almost locked out of RPing that character by himself when your other's online. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I'm fine with this as long as it's a sibling relationship, but I expect the person who does it to have a good grasp of my character's backstory, so I won't have to explain things they should know. Views on lore: Lore friendly, always. I don't have as much patience for people who know the lore but blatantly defy it, but people who are new and willing to learn I'm fine with RPing with and teaching. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): Generally I switch between using /say and /emote, but usually I use /emote for everything. As for linkshell chat, I'm open to whatever method the guild leader chooses to use, be it a set location of a guild hall sort or actually using the linkshell communicators.
