I hope you enjoy your stay and luckily you are on the Crystal data centre as it tends to be the biggest hub for RP Balmung and Mateus tend to be the biggest RP servers on the data centre but it can be found anywhere, you can always visit other servers via the crystal in the main 3 big cities and if you need any help feel free to contact me either here or the link in my signature has my discord on my carrd somewhere ^_^.

1. your job can really be anything within reason. most occupations tend to be things like alchemists etc however you can also be things like treasure hunters or bounty hunters etc. really the only rule is don't be a WOL/ don't be a main character type role if that makes sense. 2. your best bet would either be the EE as people have mentioned, WIKIs, some youtubers do a good job or asking RPers you meet. 3. It depends on the player, I normally do full paras but I will mirror if people are not up to that, you will find all different lengths etc, specially when someone is new to the content and so on.

So it doesn't have anything like WIM however what I normally do is have a chat dedicated to tells, a chat dedicated to Link shells/FC chat and a third for local area. I tend to keep a general tab with everything. I also separate the chat boxes sometimes. usually my Tells are a separate box on the other side of the screen. Honestly I come from RPing in WOW as well and I thought that the cat was a bit off putting but tbh once you like sort out the filtering, color the chat types what you want and set up separate boxes and have them kinda where and how you like them I find it fairly tolerable to use. granted I do want a WIM type of thing but I doubt the devs will be adding anything like that unfortunately. if you have any other questions related to like WOW vs FFxiv stuff let me know as I made the jump without any help and I'd rather people don't have to do the same cause I know the changes can be quite large and overwhelming

The song it plays when you ride it plays the raid theme and I love it so much haha. I like have only just been doing Alexander raids with my FC on my main so to hear it while using the mount made me very happy
