And Greetings! I am completely new around FF XIV and these forums. Now, I've been stalking for a little bit for the past two weeks, but made no jump to actually preordering FF XIV or joining these forums. It actually wasn't until Wednesday when I preordered. In turn, it wasn't until just an hour ago when I joined this site. I was mostly driven by the fact of the servers going down for maintenance. And glad that I did go ahead and join. You guys seem to be a fun bunch. ^ ^ I have a character already registered on Balmung, a female Miqo'te Seeker named X'rin Klar, or Rin for short. Originally from Limsa Lomisa, X'rin is presently fine tuning her archery skills at the Archers Guild in Gridania. I also have plans to make a character on Gilgamesh. I made her earlier when the servers were down (but character creation remained up). She is a Duskwright Elezen Thaumaturge(stereotypical yeah? Well, I don't care. She'll still be tons o' fun to play!) by the name of Estelle Aleistraux. I've been RPing in MMOs for a good long while (including Perfect World, Aion, Rift, and GW2), but playing them for gaming reasons for even longer. So I love to play just as much as I love to roleplay. I consider myself a casually serious RPer. I love a good storyline with depth and believable emotions, however, I have a rather strong sense of humor and have been known to cut up. I don't expect you to be bestest RPer who follows all of the rules laid out by picky veterans. I just expect you to be respectful. If you fail to meet my (you'd think)simple expectations, I just move on. With all that said, I look forward, with anticipation, to the experiences the future holds with all of you. (( Just for that intro - you deserve hugs! I haven't even posted my intro, and now I feel like I can't follow that. Not with the little screen caps I have. And the servers are down so I can't go take more - Drats. Ah wells. We seem to have came over on the same boat! I too haven't really experience FF XIV, however, I have a large group of friends on a nonRP server who dragged me over to here. And of course I made my way to the RP servers. I too played Aion, Rift, and GW2 and wonder if we've crossed paths. On GW 2-RP forums I went by Astrid. Anyways, welcome! I'm rather new here, and it's nice to already see such creative (and new like me) people. :3 I hope our Miqo'tes cross paths. ))

Yeah. This gave me a sad. I was right there with you Tirra, and had to choose Balmung. I had just made a new character and was getting all excited about playing her. And then bam. Full. Hopefully if it doesn't open up sooner, it will open up when subscriptions start cycling around and people choose to go down to one character per server. I'm just thankful I got onto Balmung.
