  1. As an individual who consistently endeavor in planning nearly everything, I must willingly confess that this spontaneous decision has been a positive one indeed. It is always rejuvenating and most refreshing to provide for one's self new opportunities to begin nascent concepts, designs, and stories.
  2. Energy can be debated to be a form of matter. On the other end of the spectrum, matter is simply known as stuff, and energy is not stuff, but what stuff has. An example is calories. They are not the food in itself, but merely an energy measurement we use for various nutritional and chemical aspects that allows us to know how much energy we will receive upon consuming said food. Let us also keep in mind that energy is never created or destroyed but merely changes form from circumstance to circumstance. Thus, aether can be perceived as pure flowing energy, or a form of atomic matter that carries with it a vital and ethereal energy. I completely and wholeheartedly understand your desire to elaborate on this subject matter, as I have done so myself and enjoy doing so in regards to anything that displays itself upon my path, however, we must keep in good mind that this is a fantasy world. As much as I personally enjoy creating believable circumstances that other individuals may relate to and find interesting, I will ultimately come to terms with a world that may not exactly function, in its entirety, as our own. That, in conclusion, is the intriguing aspect of fantasy and perhaps may be the very reason why a plethora of players choose to participate in role play nearly every day.
  3. While I have yet to endeavour into an in character fight on Final Fantasy XIV, I have participated in numerous role play altercations that were text centered in prior online games. From my experience, I will confidently state that the detrimental factor in the success of text centered role play altercations is proper out of character communication with the respective player. It is important not debilitate oneself as a player by not speaking forth and expressing the parameters you wish to uphold. Remain open to presenting what you do not wish to occur in the altercation. It all simply reverts back to properly communicating out of character. I personally encourage text centered altercations because it greatly challenges the player's creativity while also testing one's ability to perform the familiar give and take function all role players ought to place into practice. In turn, this promotes and encourages healthy balance within the community.
  4. That varies upon what you believe a data format ought to do and function for. In this circumstance in particular, regarding what comprises sentient and living beings alike, Aeather is the matter that all living beings are comprised of, and should that Aether be disrupted, it may cause complications. The real inquiry ought to be towards whether or not Aether is a spiritual or physical phenomenon. As of presently, it appears to be highly physical or essentially affecting the physical realm, thus a soul would be less likely to directly interact with it as it is mainly a spiritual aspect of a sentient being. Aether may easily function as air, as there is a flow of it throughout the entirety of the world, however, while it is physically present, it is not immediately tangible through means of the five senses. As a form of energy, Aether is in fact an energy source as stated on the Final Fantasy wiki. In further addition, it is stated to be either in mist or solid form. Higher concentrations create a dangerous environment and may cause adverse affect to the living world. It is only logical to then assume that, while Aether is mostly found in its mist format, it is spread relatively thin throughout the entirety of the world. By doing so, it remains everywhere but refrains from bringing negative occurrences into fruition. In regards to Aether passing through objects, it is proper to say that it may simply be able to do so swiftly by avoiding contact with the atomic structure of the solid object and evading collision. Aether is also stated to be what all living beings are comprised of, as mentioned prior, and thus allows for them to interact with the flow and ever churning energy of the Aether. Many may question the reality of sentient creatures being comprised of Aether, however, while it appears in mist or solid form, it is not specified that Aether's solid form is only crystal.
  5. I would eagerly take part in this role play concept should it come to fruition. I believe it would do well to further unite the server not only through in character interaction but through out of character communication as well. I have witnessed such vast role play occur and have seen the vast amount of positives it brings forth when various members of the community are functioning together to make it a success. With that said, I greatly encourage the further development and conceptualisation of this idea.
  6. I believe this is a subject that does arise rather often and it is quite detrimental when it regards the community's view on characters that simply appear to be entirely too special. The Mary Sue concept is often the primary label we tend to apply to characters that present themselves as either untouchable or masters of all. However, there is even a tasteful way one may endeavour into playing a Mary Sue character. My personal view and basis on whether I enjoy a character or not has immensely to do with the grounded and solid design of what presents the character as believable. That is, believable within the tasteful parameters the world and lore permits. This includes believable positives and believable negatives, or perhaps a concept that is merely neutral on both ends of the spectrum. When a character is designed in such a way as to draw natural interest towards it and in addition does not create an atmosphere of desperation, that in turn displays well developed character conceptualisation and purposeful mental effort. This in turn does not negate the reality that there are a vast plethora of various character personalities, from positive to negative and everything in between, but instead shows that there is a conscious decision to create a character that, although may have great negative traits, still has purpose behind the actions they perform. This is simply my personal view on characters and the issue regarding how special one ought to be. In conclusion, balance is key and perpetual awareness of your character design is the most optimal state a player can place themselves in to remain continuously creative in a tasteful and healthy manner.
  7. "A Pleasure To Make Your Acquaintance" How long have your been roleplaying for? I have been involved in role play for an estimated span of three years. However, I find myself feeling a more extended perception of time in regards to how long I have been a part of this ever continuing form of writing and creative entertainment. What was your role play experience like so far? My experience has been quite positive. However, life in its entirety will always contain and show the less desirable side of things which in turn has taught me to always keep in good mind that I have the sovereign power to allow and disallow what affects my real life. Needless to say, I have always used role play as a continuous asset for exercising my creativity and writing. My experience begets the effort I place into the quality I desire out of it and I have consistently taken the said effort to provide myself with a positive environment. Tell us a little bit about your character? What has been your inspiration? My character is a rather serious and focused individual. I shall refrain from divulging too many details as I have not finalised the more detrimental aspects of his identity and story. In regards to inspiration, I have been in an extended mind set for more serious and/or business oriented characters for some time now. If you wish to read the work in progress wiki page you may do so here. Constructive criticism is always welcomed. How did you learn about the coalition? A good friend of mine by the name of Nahv'ir Raih decided to spontanously endeavour into Final Fantasy XIV and thus ushering me into it as a result. Knowledge of the coalition followed soon after. I must say I am quite thankful for the game and the nascent community. What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy? I have been told my role play takes its alliance towards the heavy end of the spectrum. I have a natural tendency to develop and role play the more realistic and practical side of a character's life, taking into consideration some of the details that encompass the requirements for an individual to provide for themselves. In addition, the sometimes intricate architecture of family structure often permeates through my concepts and design. In regards to the frequency of my role play, I do my best to remain productive in all I do whether the activity is role play or real life endeavours, thus, while I may not be online for every single day of the year, I do schedule accordingly to accomplish my tasks and dreams in real life while enjoying the development and entertainment role play provides. Anything from real life you're comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc) I avidly enjoy art, writting, and music. Remaining creative, clear headed, and healthy, not only physically but mentally, is a lifestyle I steadfastly upkeep. Apart from that, I am always open to sharing a few more facts and details in a more personal setting and circumstance. Feel at liberty to inquire with me at any time.
