Some strange atherite and spell combination accident might be plausible. At least plausible for a fictional game.

I think what C'kayah is getting at it is not necessarily sex behind ERP. I don't go all the way with folks, because I have fun in other ways with drama and intrigue. I get more pleased with myself and giggle insanely (to my family's confusion) at times at my reaction and other's situations. It has nothing to do with arousal but more with the ways we like to create puzzles for ourselves. Thats what I love about RP.

Role-playing alongside the storyline: YOU did WHAT?!
Yloise replied to Zac Evans's topic in RP Discussion
Yloise is definitely not a hero. She does not have the Echo or is a part of the Scions. I currently ignore that kind of thing but when others talk about it, she does pick up on some information. So as far as the story-line goes for Yloise, it doesn't affect her at all until it is more like a story related by others. -
Now if they would only reopen. It's been up too long with us being locked out. Test faster!

I am not a great pvp player (in any of my previous mmos, i am just not quick enough to react). Will we be able to watch matches of others?

“You could not even give me a smile or a hello when greeting me at the door?” Yloise asked her reflection in the mirror. She was applying makeup quickly and adeptly, turning this way and that to make sure the candlelight caught all of the facade that she was putting on her face. She liked her new outfit, very slimming and easy to move in. She had already packed a few bags of other designer gowns and items from her mother's closet on the back of her coeurl. She pouted, then smiled as the dark red rouge put on her lips blended perfectly. Dropping the leftover canister of red coloring, it rolled off the dresser and onto the floor where she kicked it, causing it to roll under the bed and out of sight. She did not care to fetch it. This would be the last time she visited her parents caverns. She looked around her parents room, picking up anything metallic that she could melt down in the future, and stuffing it into a makeshift bag that was tied around her shoulder. It was only when she got to the kitchen and dining areas of the carved caves that her bag began to become almost too heavy for even the pugilist to carry. She raided the family's stash hidden in the floor of the den for any Gil or merchandise easily carried in pockets. She was disappointed that there was less than expected in the hideaway. She moved from each room, remembering, looking, reflecting, upon her days from her birth until the day they kicked her out and set her on the path to setup a shop in Ul'dah. When she notified the family upon her failure to comply, she was dismissed and cut off with a response from her parent's solicitor. She moved over to the bar and pulled a decanter of brandy and took a few drinks directly from it. “Should not drink too much, I need every drop.” She commented out loud. She took a second container in her free hand and began to douse the carpets, the furniture, the tapestries coating each room as she passed through. Only then she finished emptying each of the six types of alcohol from the bar, and sampling some for herself when she arrived at the front door, she paused. Turning around to the two figures draped in a rug, tied together back to back in the middle of the entry hall, she said, “Payback is a bitch, and I am doubly so.” She took a cigar from her pack and lit it, only to throw the match back inside as she closed the door behind her, erasing any signs that she ever lived there at all. Yloise marched out of the caverns and into the dawning sunlight of a new day. She squinted and stretched after a long night of rifling through her childhood home. “Let's see what is next for me!” She said excitedly. She felt a huge release of relief and headed down the path to the southeast to the White Maiden river. As she did so, she called her coeurl and hopped upon his back and the two trotted down the cobblestone away from the caverns. She was already hours away before anyone seen the smoke or damage caused to her family's home. By then, the cobblestones already changed to a dirt path, leading up to the edge of the river where a bridge crossed within a short distance. It was fall, and the river was full from the mountains gushing from the most recent storms up north. She nudged her coeurl to a trot, as she looked around for anything suspicious. A bridge was a likely place to ambush someone laden down with goods.

I will be there! Luckily I have this weekend off! Yay!

This looks very interesting and I hope to see this soon!

I like the sepia tone one because her silhouette does not blend into the background.

I hope to attend this one. *crosses fingers that her Saturday schedule has her not working!*

Yloise's had enough of this facade. The man was not after her but yet the gemstone. She tensed for a moment, getting her bearings before acting what every fiber of her body was screaming, Flee! She was not going to spend one night in a Ul'dah prison, she had hoped for a better future here, but that went out the window on Tobias' last words. She let her shoulder droop which was holding the bag up from falling to the ground. This little Hyur would not get Yloise! After noticing a lengthy pause in the conversation between the Sultansworn and Tobias, she decided to give no reason to pursue her, she swung the bag up into the air and catapulted off her arm to go straight up. As Tobias' eyes watch at the sudden action, she gave a sweeping kick to his knees to get them to buckle. After that occurred, she swung around backwards to give him a swift but short punch to his ribs to complete the shocking pain that would stun him for a moment. Tobias fell backwards upon his rear, and Yloise leapt gracefully over him like a Coeurl would to spring away. She ran as fast as Elezenly possible, and left the Gold Court, springing through the alleyways into the Ul'dah crowds to disappear. She quickly vanished between a few Roegadyn merchants with wagons traveling through. There was no indication which direction she continued onward. The goods however, fell with a plop onto Tobias' stomach spilling open, showing the taken sack intact with the treasured gemstone among it's contents.

I too have altered my thoughts about family and the world at large being a Duskwight, after experiencing the Haukke Manor story-line. Yloise is not from a rich or extensive family, but will pretend to act like one. She is a merchant born family, but they use so much time and gil to appear as affluent, they are continuously broke. Since her family is relatively small, just herself, her parents and perhaps a single uncle are the only surviving relatives, she has no support structure besides herself, while going against her family wishes in the past, she is disowned, but no one knows of that yet. I have yet to come across another roleplayer who is distrustful of Duskwights, or at least show it ICly.
