  1. Keep trying at 3:00 a.m./ 7:00 a.m./ 12:00p.m./ 5:00 p.m./ 10:00 p.m. (PST), thats when they update the status' on that page.
  2. Some strange atherite and spell combination accident might be plausible. At least plausible for a fictional game.
  3. I think what C'kayah is getting at it is not necessarily sex behind ERP. I don't go all the way with folks, because I have fun in other ways with drama and intrigue. I get more pleased with myself and giggle insanely (to my family's confusion) at times at my reaction and other's situations. It has nothing to do with arousal but more with the ways we like to create puzzles for ourselves. Thats what I love about RP.
  4. Yloise is definitely not a hero. She does not have the Echo or is a part of the Scions. I currently ignore that kind of thing but when others talk about it, she does pick up on some information. So as far as the story-line goes for Yloise, it doesn't affect her at all until it is more like a story related by others.
  5. Now if they would only reopen. It's been up too long with us being locked out. Test faster!
  6. I am not a great pvp player (in any of my previous mmos, i am just not quick enough to react). Will we be able to watch matches of others?
  7. “You could not even give me a smile or a hello when greeting me at the door?” Yloise asked her reflection in the mirror. She was applying makeup quickly and adeptly, turning this way and that to make sure the candlelight caught all of the facade that she was putting on her face. She liked her new outfit, very slimming and easy to move in. She had already packed a few bags of other designer gowns and items from her mother's closet on the back of her coeurl. She pouted, then smiled as the dark red rouge put on her lips blended perfectly. Dropping the leftover canister of red coloring, it rolled off the dresser and onto the floor where she kicked it, causing it to roll under the bed and out of sight. She did not care to fetch it. This would be the last time she visited her parents caverns. She looked around her parents room, picking up anything metallic that she could melt down in the future, and stuffing it into a makeshift bag that was tied around her shoulder. It was only when she got to the kitchen and dining areas of the carved caves that her bag began to become almost too heavy for even the pugilist to carry. She raided the family's stash hidden in the floor of the den for any Gil or merchandise easily carried in pockets. She was disappointed that there was less than expected in the hideaway. She moved from each room, remembering, looking, reflecting, upon her days from her birth until the day they kicked her out and set her on the path to setup a shop in Ul'dah. When she notified the family upon her failure to comply, she was dismissed and cut off with a response from her parent's solicitor. She moved over to the bar and pulled a decanter of brandy and took a few drinks directly from it. “Should not drink too much, I need every drop.” She commented out loud. She took a second container in her free hand and began to douse the carpets, the furniture, the tapestries coating each room as she passed through. Only then she finished emptying each of the six types of alcohol from the bar, and sampling some for herself when she arrived at the front door, she paused. Turning around to the two figures draped in a rug, tied together back to back in the middle of the entry hall, she said, “Payback is a bitch, and I am doubly so.” She took a cigar from her pack and lit it, only to throw the match back inside as she closed the door behind her, erasing any signs that she ever lived there at all. Yloise marched out of the caverns and into the dawning sunlight of a new day. She squinted and stretched after a long night of rifling through her childhood home. “Let's see what is next for me!” She said excitedly. She felt a huge release of relief and headed down the path to the southeast to the White Maiden river. As she did so, she called her coeurl and hopped upon his back and the two trotted down the cobblestone away from the caverns. She was already hours away before anyone seen the smoke or damage caused to her family's home. By then, the cobblestones already changed to a dirt path, leading up to the edge of the river where a bridge crossed within a short distance. It was fall, and the river was full from the mountains gushing from the most recent storms up north. She nudged her coeurl to a trot, as she looked around for anything suspicious. A bridge was a likely place to ambush someone laden down with goods.
  8. I will be there! Luckily I have this weekend off! Yay!
  9. This looks very interesting and I hope to see this soon!
  10. I like the sepia tone one because her silhouette does not blend into the background.
  11. I hope to attend this one. *crosses fingers that her Saturday schedule has her not working!*
  12. Yloise's had enough of this facade. The man was not after her but yet the gemstone. She tensed for a moment, getting her bearings before acting what every fiber of her body was screaming, Flee! She was not going to spend one night in a Ul'dah prison, she had hoped for a better future here, but that went out the window on Tobias' last words. She let her shoulder droop which was holding the bag up from falling to the ground. This little Hyur would not get Yloise! After noticing a lengthy pause in the conversation between the Sultansworn and Tobias, she decided to give no reason to pursue her, she swung the bag up into the air and catapulted off her arm to go straight up. As Tobias' eyes watch at the sudden action, she gave a sweeping kick to his knees to get them to buckle. After that occurred, she swung around backwards to give him a swift but short punch to his ribs to complete the shocking pain that would stun him for a moment. Tobias fell backwards upon his rear, and Yloise leapt gracefully over him like a Coeurl would to spring away. She ran as fast as Elezenly possible, and left the Gold Court, springing through the alleyways into the Ul'dah crowds to disappear. She quickly vanished between a few Roegadyn merchants with wagons traveling through. There was no indication which direction she continued onward. The goods however, fell with a plop onto Tobias' stomach spilling open, showing the taken sack intact with the treasured gemstone among it's contents.
  13. I too have altered my thoughts about family and the world at large being a Duskwight, after experiencing the Haukke Manor story-line. Yloise is not from a rich or extensive family, but will pretend to act like one. She is a merchant born family, but they use so much time and gil to appear as affluent, they are continuously broke. Since her family is relatively small, just herself, her parents and perhaps a single uncle are the only surviving relatives, she has no support structure besides herself, while going against her family wishes in the past, she is disowned, but no one knows of that yet. I have yet to come across another roleplayer who is distrustful of Duskwights, or at least show it ICly.
  14. Yloise shrugged at the advice and turned her back to Tobias. She knew she had gotten away with the deception. She held her new found treasure close to her and decided a casual exit is best in this instance. "Thank you mister, I did not catch your name? I do hope he considers your advice, even if it is not in my favor." She asked the Sultansworn. Yloise fiddled with her bracelets and looked at the Miqo'te as if to size him up if things suddenly turned awry. She might get a few chops in but going against a Sultansworn would be a bad idea that she would have to exile herself from Ul'dah in the future. She did not want that, but if things happen, alas it was meant to be. Yloise straightened her stance and brushed off her imaginary dust from her midnight dyed coatee, which was showing her shoulders and cleavage to anyone who had eyes in their head. Her shorts did not leave much to the imagination but provided support for her stockings that stopped just a few inches prior to them. She was dressed as a professional and hoped that the role would cover her plans, now changed due to having being seen by another fleeing with the gem. Yloise thought about her next destination while she awaited her answer.
  15. Yloise was glad to have another attention upon her. She closed her hands around the gemstone and pulled it back towards her, out of Tobias' grip. She turned her head and smiled at the approaching Miqo'te. “Good evening to you, sir. Yes, it was just a small question of haggling, this man does not like what my sell price is. My fees for selling such a valuable item was above what he was willing to pay right now. I was hoping to get out of here without any delays but he seems to be angry at me for not complying with his idea of a payment.” She reaches down, bending at the waist to snatch up the discarded satchel and puts the gemstone away back inside as she lifts it onto her shoulder, she takes a step away from Tobias' reach, and a step closer to the other gentleman. “My services are not free, I do work for a living. But I am not newly born to fall for someone trying to scam me out of a day's hard work!” She stamps her foot in anger, she gives a disapproving glance over her shoulder at Tobias. “Oh my manners, please forgive me, I am Yloise Dolet, a traveling Goldsmith and Miner. Please to make your acquaintance mister...?” Yloise trails off her question, looking at Landrenel's face with a smile.
  16. I think of her in her known roles each time I play Yloise.
  17. Yloise's face brightened into a wicked grin upon hearing a loud slap from a passerby. She dared not to look but it did give her thoughts of a way out of this predicament. After hearing the Hyur's polite command, she looked over her shoulder at the Sultansworn. Her grip tightened but did not allow him to just take the stone from her now. “Now why would I give up my stone to someone who looks like a commoner? You might be another thief trying to mug me.” Her voice started low and husky and as she finished her comment, she increased the volume of her voice to include anyone overhearing to hear the key words. “Perhaps you should step away now, and let me be, or I will bring the guards down on you.” She watched Tobias with a winning smile. She knew she had an advantage now and did not wish to waste it. “Or maybe I should ask that Miqo'te to help me?” Yloise tilts her head in Landrenel's direction. Yloise does not flinch, or give a inch to Tobias. This is now a fight that she possibly could win and get away. Her confidence returns with gusto, her eyes and smile stare at Tobias own deep eyes looking for answers.
  18. Yloise immediately stopped her juggling game and gave Tobias a deadpanned look as he got extremely close. She was not uncomfortable, but yet highly aware of him being so intimately close and questioning her. She was at a loss for words. She was very certain that she was not followed, but yet, this man found her and she believed he was after the garnet as well. She decided against fleeing. He was so close she could not get a good sucker punch before she was apprehended, nor able to distract him away from her with her words. Upon that thought, her face fell in disappointment. She knew she was not able to wiggle her way out of this situation. She looked down at the stone in her open hands and froze for a moment. Every ilm of her being wanted to strike at him and run, flee and survive. She did enjoy the small amount of conversation that did go along with it, even as coy and full of confidence on his part. But she did not wish him to know this, after all he has her practically cornered, in the round room of the Gold Court. The only option was to negotiate, and perhaps retain some amount of freedom. The prisons of Ul'dah were not pleasant at all, and she highly anticipated any deals not to go there. Looking defeated, and not lifting her eyes at all, she raised the stone in her hands in offering of peace to Tobias without a word. She had hoped that this might be the end of it, but on holding her breath in anticipation, she was a coward and would not fight and get away. She waited for a response, gave a moment and looked up from her treasured item, and into those dark eyes of his, even if they were not at the same height The moments now seemed to go by slowly, the passers by would only see two people conversing and not notice anything out of the ordinary for Ul'dah going on.
  19. Without blinking and keeping eyes directly trained on Tobias, Yloise scooped up the dropped stone and scooped it up so quickly it was almost a slight of hand trick. She felt the weight heavy in the palm of her hand, she apologized, “I am so sorry. I must have been too distracted with myself rather to catch what I dropped. If I knew you were a true gentleman, you would not have hesitated to pick up a dropped item for me.” She tucked the rough looking crystalline orb with bits of stone remaining intact, it did not seem special to anyone passing by, but only a trained Gemologist would have noticed it was rather a rough but large Garnet. “As for my complicated nature, I would agree, I tend to boast about myself when tantalizing someones eyes with my assets. Which you clearly enjoy.” She lets out a high pitched sigh when she saw the emotion leave his eyes, a bit disappointed in the dance ending so soon. She was not completely sure if this man was just a curious passer-by or if he was hired to retrieve the stone. Either way, she was not going to give her trophy up before being able to manipulate the stone to her liking. She had to find a excuse, or a escape soon, before others started paying attention to the conversation ahead. Her eyes darted to each of the directions exiting the Gold Court, playing in her mind scenarios of possible events that could occur. She had to stop thinking too deeply, her brow became wrinkled with worry as she did so. A light perspiration began to form, and her pulse began to race again. She was a bit sore from the exit performance earlier, but she could attempt another one with some slight troubles. Still holding the garnet in hand, she began shifting it from left to right, right to left, in a small juggling fashion, watching his eyes for the answer. "But have I given away too much, or not enough, may I ask?" Yloise gave her most confident smile, then it faded into a lower lip biting in a playful fashion, she knew having him off balance even a slight bit might allow her time to escape.
  20. Yloise was intrigued by the Hyur conversation. She did not recognize him from Goldsmiths guild, but there were many who attended which she has not met yet. Confidently, she answered his comment, "Opals are quite lovely and mysterious," she smiled through her answer, "Like myself, I am rather a complicated woman, and do not give things away too easily." She leans forward and downward a bit to reply almost in a whisper, distracting him with her ample form, her Midnight dyed Goldsmiths uniform that shows much of her shoulders and cleavage on top, and her thighs between her stockings and her matching shorts. Just to emphasize her distraction, she jiggles a bit, to see if he is entertained by the show. As she does her dance, the shoulder bag tumbles off her shoulder and hits the ground with a loud thud. Yloise cringes and reaches down to grab the strap for her bag, only to hear the loud clattering of the uncut Garnet tumble out from the sack and onto the street at Tobias' feet. She laughs nervously as she tries to recover from her clumsy mistake.
