  1. Crystal Tower is always going to be a gamble given how much of a pain in the arse it is to co-ordinate up to 23 random people. At the very least, most people seem to understand how the fights are conducted, but you still tend to find those who struggle on very basic mechanics. In its current state, I think the difficulty is right where it should be, especially when it was created with an average item level of 50 as a minimum. Whether or not people take it easy in Crystal Tower, that's an individual by individual basis. Twats, however, will always be twats. The kind of people I would not want in a 24 random player dungeon with increased difficulty. Now, if we were to reach the point where we could create 24 player groups beforehand, then I might be more open to the idea of a hard mode option for the tower.
  2. It was a mix up between Miqo'te and Elezen, personally, but ultimately the cats won me over, simply because I found the social structures appealing, and felt that the individual tribes could fit well into the story I was building up for myself, and best fit the personality I aimed to use. That said, my character doesn't aim to be cute in any sense of the word, so it was slightly disappointing that during the transition from Mithra to Miqo'te, it felt as if they lost some of their feral traits in favour of what seemed like blatant fanservice. Fortunately they implemented features that allowed a more ragged and mature appearance, at least for males. If anything, the only thing that I detest about my character is the lack of a proper sitting animation.
  3. I've never seen a problem if a group of players decided to put their skills to use and offer players the chance to be carried through content they might have otherwise struggled with. Whether it's an issue of time, finding a good group, or simply traveling down the path of least resistance, there are always going to be players who put reward before content, so the practice of carrying through such seems like a practical idea to make a bit of money out of those who want instant success. You could argue that it might present other, less savoury situations (the players who want to rush through content buying the gil from RMTers), but I don't feel it's a direct cause of the group itself. Unfortunately we cannot prevent these types of players who want everything now from playing, and I'm often hard pressed to convince them otherwise, not that I like to force my own opinions on how one should play the game. On the issue on purposefully ruining runs in an attempt to coerce them into buying successful runs instead, well I don't need to go into lengthy detail as to why that's such a pathetic routine. The fact that there's supposedly someone who holds the position of authority on an online forum included in that scheme just makes it all the more laughable.
  4. It never fails to become a contentious issue whenever it involves the obligatory "cute" race. It wouldn't surprise me if Square had their audience, particularly Eastern, in mind when designing these specific events that raises these hotly debated discussions. However, it's evident that the cats are represented on all ends of the spectrum; Y'shtola, the tribe down in Sangoli, the infamous Courtesan, guild masters. Personally I think the players reflect the sexual image more than Square Enix has implied in this game, or the previous, for that matter.
