Gestahl pens a letter to the name listed on the poster. To Whom it may concern, In the 7th Umbral Era the need for extra protection has become paramount. Whether that protection be in form of armor, weapons, skills or companions is up to each of us to decide. Without prolonging my reason for contacting you today, I am Gestahl VonSchlichten, newly inherited owner of VonSchlichtenCo Industrialwerks. Being placed so suddenly in this position, I have found myself being tested first and learning the lessons later. After a few attempts either on my life or my employees, I am seeking the service of a skilled mercenary to act as my guard and head of security. While the position may sound to be a titled bodyguard, it is hardly so. VonSchlichtenCo has attracted attention from a certain member of the Syndicate in Ul'dah that has been giving me slight troubles in the city. Attempting to expand operations further, I cannot be pushed out of Ul'dah. In addition, our "philanthropist" goals and aims have also attracted the attention of the Garleans. I'd hope to have avoided piquing the interest of Imperials but it is now a problem I must deal with, and by delegation, my security must deal with. I seek applicants who both carry a sharp weapon and a sharp wit. The foes I face do not always come in the form of attackers or belligerents. I'm the brother of a terrorist! Well I guess since I finance like 0.0001% of the resistance I guess I could be considered one too.

Gestahl's brother Saul fights for the Resistance. It isn't a pretty sight. My RP company supports the resistance through funds and materials smuggled north across the border. A 20 year resistance is obviously not going well. So I wanted to sorta reflect that in RP. There's a letter on my RPC page. It's a recent one from Saul to his brother. Recounts the horrors of the resistance and such. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Very Heavy RP. I tend to stay out of OOC channels and avoid OOC tells unless it is necessary. I try to keep all interactions within the game as possible. It breaks the immersion of roleplay when you just get a random OOC tell. Views on RP combat and injuries: Works for me. I came from Lord of the Craft, a minecraft RP community. Much of the combat was done via emotes due to high latency. Lingering injuries open the door for medical RP that others might not experience. Views on IC romance: Why not? Keeping the 100% IC philosophy makes relationships between people seem much more authentic. Some of these might blossom to more than just friends. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Adds so much more depth to the game if you have family. Nobody just "spawns". You had a mother and a father, possibly siblings. Even if they aren't PCs, its important to acknowledge family to add that extra degree of realism. Views on lore: Gotta keep within lore to a reasonable extent. Realistically, you arent going to become the next mega-hero or vilain. You play a minor role in this vast world. The world isn't going to revolve around you. Instead, contribute to the world. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): I use it how I see fit. Try to keep OOC to a minimum in /say. If I need to OOC I will send a tell. [*] III. As do I. There is so much interesting lore behind the 5th City State and so little we know. I was considering trying to organize some Ala Mhigo Linkshell to keep refugees and a generation of Ala Mhigans born outside our lands to preserve our culture and history. Gestahl only being 5 when the great Hyuran Migration happened, he doesn't remember much about his home.

((20 years ago from "now" is right. Gestahl fled with his family as a young child during the "3rd Great Hyruan Migration" following the fall of Ala Mhigo. Lots of my RP and those around me are Ala Mhigan refugees, feel free to ask any questions ))
