IC The Laughing Lady is a tavern, an inn. And possibly something more. On the outside, it is lovely place to sit, have a drink with friends(even make some new ones), participate in a little revelry after a hard day of battle and adventuring. A welcoming place, full of smiles and laughter. Cleaner than most taverns of similar price, the staff is always eager to serve a refreshing beverage, or share a friendly word. But beneath this lovely exterior lurks a shadow. The occasional surreptitious glance between patrons across the room, or a hidden slipped note. Whispers in the corners might hint to those few who welcome secrets. Beneath its chipper exterior, The Laughing Lady is a place for the less savory to gather. A safe haven for everyone, petty thieves, murderers, assassins...The Lady doesn't care who you are, as long as you don't cause trouble within her walls. The tavern is a place to find the services of the not-so-friendly(or legal) sort, or sell and buy some less-than-lawful items...A hub of information seekers and buyers. A place to find work, or find workers. Employ the Lady's extensive network of historians, adventurers, criminals, scholars, and many more unnamable roles that could provide information, or a particular service. OOC The Laughing Lady exists as both a Free Company and a Linkshell. Both chats are OOC. You do not have to join the FC in order to patronize the tavern, nor does joining the FC mean that you are an employee of the tavern. All in all, The Lady is primarily a location, though we welcome anyone who wants into the LS, or the FC. We provide a place to RP, and our FC members can often be found within the walls, either as a patron to the tavern, or an employee. We are recently rebuilding after the creator(me) took a year break from the game, so we lost a few active people. But while they may have left the FC, they are still strong in the LS! Come check us out! If you want to work at the Lady, you'll need to be in the FC, but ANYONE is welcome in either LS or FC. Dark Nights is active! Very active! And the newly created The Onyx Bazaar is definitely active, as its brand new!

The Onyx Bazaar is a black market business venture taken up by two wealthy and secretive patrons aimed at bringing together and uniting(as much as you can) anyone who might be suited to join. It is but a mystery; rarely even a rumor spoken amongst the lips of Ul'dahns. The ones who are lucky enough to have been given an invitation may have access to the unusually luxurious atmosphere provided by this particular den of the unsavory. If you are anyone who prefers to be out of sight and out of mind of the authorities, this is the place for you to frequent. Whether you are practicing dark magic, looking for a safe haven from groups or governments, selling things that should not be sold, looking for work or providing questionable jobs including but not limited to assassination, impersonation, con artistry, or the like, perhaps there is a spot for you inside of the hidden locale called The Onyx Bazaar. Most members of this secret society will be sought out based on the information those wealthy patrons can collect through their various black market information sources and issued an invitation. On the slight chance that you may have heard about it, however, there are said to be a few contacts you can get in touch with on a fairly short notice.
