1. Mage=OP. But seriously, I love the WoD RPGs. I'm currently involved in a Vampire: The Masquerade LARP and it's probably one of the best things I've ever been involved with. I used to be involved in a Changeling game way back when, but sadly it broke apart once three of our members had to split due to issues at home. I found this Vampire game shortly after and dove right in, and now I'm rollin' around as a 8th gen Brujah! Potence ftw. Further, if there are currently any games that are about to start online or anything, throw me a message! I'd love to be involved with more WoD games, especially Vampire. I haven't played Requiem yet, but from what I understand it'll be easy for me to grasp. I just have to look into it.
2. Alrighty cool, sounds good to me! I'll throw you a message once I'm in game tomorrow. I had a busy few days so I haven't been on, but thankfully things have calmed down. Cool thing about Gridania also! That'd be a perfect setting for my character to run into yours! He hunts in the Shroud (Keeper Miqo'te) so he could run into you guys at one point or another in Gridania or the Shroud or wherever! And I'm always down to expand my friend list, that's for sure!
3. Oooo~this looks interesting. I'm down for this. Your time is good for mine, as I am also nocturnal (I work third shift) and I can be on till about...1AM EST on work days and all night on days off. SO! Woot.

Heya!

Welcome! One of these days I'll make a char on Gilgamesh to meet everyone over there as well. I'm primarily on Balmung. If you're ever over there, throw me a tell or friend request! Daca'li Molkoh is the toon I'm active on. Hope you enjoy your stay!
5. Daca'li rose his brows at the mention of looking for someone. He breathed a quiet sigh before leaning back on his hands, "I see," Daca'li said in a quiet tone, "I wish you luck on your endeavours then, Seeker." He tipped his head in X'ache's direction before looking back out to the road, steadying himself every so often as the caravan proceeded on. He dipped his nose down, eyes narrowing some as he thought on his own search, quietly mulling over his own thoughts.
6. Before the cart took off, he slid back into the back and sat himself by the front, resuming his last position with his legs dangling out the edge. "I live there," Daca'li said with a nod, "The Black Shroud, I mean. I'm a nomad of sorts." He lightly shrugs before adjusting the spear along side his lap, keeping the pole pressed to his chest. "I'm here for pay and transportation, nothing more or less." Next, he shifted his gaze to the Seeker, X'ache, brows knitting forward at the response. "Ah, I see. And I assume you're on your way to Gridania for...business? If I may ask." Daca'li watched at the next proceedings, eyeing the exchange of the sandwich with a stoic gaze. His ears twitched before he rolled his neck, heaving a heavy sigh before shifting his gaze to the Elezen woman. As if he were determined to make these shy women...not-so shy...he shifted his eyes back to the Elezen woman, "you're an artist?" He inclines his head to the book, he handed to Kieaira, "I don't often mingle with your kind, but I have heard murmurs of Elezen ingenuity and talent." He shifts his gaze back out as they continue down the road, as if he were thinking on anything else he could speak to these people about. He simply huffed. He wouldn't be the starter of every conversation, and reserved to wait until his questions were already addressed. (Sorry I took so long. x_x I had something come up.)
7. Well. Now I have to learn how to play ADC so I can play as Jinx. Damn it, Riot.
8. "Didn't think so," he eyes the male that had hopped out, watching as he goes off to be alone. He rolls his eyes, quietly sighing before peering back into the cart. Before he could reply with anything, he was cut off by the cart driver barking out an order. "Just stretchin' the legs a bit, oh humble driver!" He presses two fingers to his forehead to give a mock salute. With that, his eyes turn back to the one who had addressed his question. "Are you of a tribe?" His eyes fall to the Seeker for a moment before shifting back to the woman, "your name is strange. I've never heard that sort of name before among Keepers or Seekers." He tilts his head, "if that's too personal a question just ignore it." He slides the spear from his shoulders, tapping the bottom against the dirt before inclining his head forward, "before you answer that...you're awfully timid. Are you afraid of something? The talk of bandits was all for fun, I assure you." His eyes fall to the two males that were otherwise silent, "or is it for another reason?"
9. Daca'li's eyes shifted to Kieara, a brow lofting at her comment. As they came to a halt, he simply shifted out of the way so the driver could take his cargo. "...suppose there will be more room now, yes." He said to break whatever silence befell them, "and seeing how no one else will..." He suddenly said as he hopped out of the caravan, stretching some before looking about. "Is this a job for most of you? Or are most using this as a form of transport to return home and make a few gil on the way?" Daca'li rose both brows as he looked from passenger to passenger. "So far, I've seen a few introverts and two timid females, no offense," he settles his eyes upon both females while offering a nod. "But it doesn't look like most of you are heavily involved in the Mercenary trade. Am I correct in this, or are mine eyes deceiving me?" Daca'li drew his spear, slowly twirling it before resting it along his shoulders, arms curling around the pole to rest.
10. avaaaaa suxxxxxxxxxxx AVA SUXXXXXXX!!!!! I'm just kidding Ava. It's Vex. <3 Welcome welcome.
11. Oh sweet! I'll try to make an appearance one of these days then! I'm still on my leveling craze, as I can't stand being below level cap, and not only that I'm still not a dragoon. T_T BUT. I will be there. One day. :cactuar: ^ He will be there too.
12. This looks pretty awesome. I'll have to roll by one of these days and happen across it. My main is a Keeper, so the desert isn't exactly a place he frequents all that often, but he does have reasons to go out there from time to time. Perhaps he can happen across something one of these days. In any case though, looks like you're all doing a great job! Continue the great work!
13. Daca'li blinked at the mention of 'markings', his ears twitching as he turned his head to look over his shoulder. He stares a moment before nodding, "I've had a lot of practice," Daca'li murmurs as he looks forward once more. "Sometimes a rival tribe of Keepers may wander upon us and take offense to me and my family being in 'their' land...so sometimes, in order to invoke the full power of the moon...you have to be able to apply the paints as soon as possible and under stress." Daca'li nods before reaching to his previous seat, taking hold of his gauntlets and sliding both back on. "Though I imagine," the Keeper starts with raised brows, "my tribal warfare is nothing in comparison to the large tribes of the Seekers." He glances over his shoulder once more before settling his eyes on the female miqo'te, then the male; his ears twitch.
14. You have some great art! The next time you open up for either free or paid commissions, count me in for sure. Chibi art is generally a hit or miss for me, and yours looks like a definite hit. Great work!
15. Welcome, welcome! If you're ever in need of a friend to role-play with or even just someone to chat with, go ahead and throw me a tell! I'll be on Daca'li Molkoh, my Keeper of the Moon, most of the time. I'm a fellow newbie! Old to role-play, but very new to this world--so far I'm absolutely loving it, so I hope you have good times in the future!
16. Daca'li glanced back into the caravan as he continued painting his face, only half noticing that most of the males on the cart were all catching eyes with miqo'te girl. He offered a sigh to himself, mumbling something incoherent before finishing the paint on his face. Curved lines under each eye that branched out and disappeared into his hairline on the side of his head. Three small triangles decorated his nose, all of equal proportion and beginning at his lower lip, two thick lines slid along his chin before coiling up onto his cheeks. With his painting complete, he fitted the lid back onto the pot once more before sliding it back into his pouch. He offered a glance at the rest of the occupants, ears twitching at the mention of the miqo'te girl's name; the name -did- raise a bit of intrigue, as it wasn't a traditional miqo'te name. Instead of searching for her gaze or staring awkwardly, he simply shrugged and slid from his seat, moving himself to the edge of the entrance to let his legs dangle just above the ground.
17. Daca'li pressed back against his seat as the new Seeker entered, brows raising curiously as he studied his form. A scowl steadily slid it's way across his face before turning his green eyes out to the dirt below. Fantastic...more of these sun-loving hypes...Daca'li sighed before his ears perked at yet another voice coming into the fray; an elezen that apparently thought she was late. He eyed the woman from his seat, shifting about and making his armour click, "I don't see why not..." He muttered the words, gesturing to the brown haired elezen, "I think the driver is already preparing to depart, so you might as well hop on," he tapped his foot and inclined his head back then settled into his position. An epiphany struck him at that moment, brows raising nearly into his hairline as something crossed his mind, "seven hells, I nearly forgot..." He reached into his pouch and pulled out a small pot. He set the pot beside him before sliding his gauntlets from his hands, setting both beside him as well before picking the pot back up. After popping the top, one could easily tell that it was a paint of some sort that was black in colour. Quietly, the Keeper began to hum as he dipped two fingers into the pot, rubbing his index and middle finger about to coat the tips of his fingers. Slowly, he began to paint the substance along his face, painting intricate symbols along the ridges and contours of his visage.
18. "Feh," the Keeper simply rolled his eyes before sauntering off toward the back of the cart, tail swaying some as he walked along side until he reached the back. "The more you joke about it, the less worried you'll be," his eyes travel to the female at that, "but if you want to play that part, so be it. I shant tell you different," Daca'li hopped onto the carriage, taking a place near the front; just in case he was needed to hop out and help right away. Before he sat, he removed the spear from his back, resting it against his seat and between his legs. He leans back, breathing a quiet sigh as he set his eyes upon the gates of Ul'dah, quietly staring. After a few moments, he audibly sighed before shifting his gaze to the floor of the cart, ears folding back once more as he dove into his own thoughts.
19. Daca'li's eyes snapped over toward the female, his eyes narrowing some at the mention of a bandit. 'A bandit?! We're so close to--' Daca'li's thoughts came to an abrupt halt once he realised that there wasn't a bandit in sight. The only ones present were those hired and the driver himself. Daca'li's eyes narrowed, those green orbs following the girl as she began to slink away. He quietly huffed, his eyes falling to the ground. "...speaking of bandits," Daca'li mumbled before slipping his fingers into a pouch tied around his belt. "...I wonder where they might attack if they find the stones to do so..." Daca'li slipped a small, rolled up parchment from his pouch. He cleared his throat as he unrolled the paper and examined it's contents, mumbling to himself every few moments before slipping it back into it's previous location. "I don't think you'll have to worry too much about it," he says to no one in particular, though it was meant more for the miqo'te who had slipped away. "Well. Maybe I'm speaking too early. We'll probably be attacked somewhere down this very road! Who knows!" Daca'li threw up his hands some, lightly shrugging. Before he could continue with his teasing, he felt something hard hit him in the back of the head, forcing him to stumble. "Ow! What th--" "Oi! No talk of bandits!" Daca'li turned around only to see that his 'attacker' was the blonde haired, blue eyed driver. Daca'li scowled; it seemed that his teasing of the timid miqo'te wasn't on the agenda. For now, at least.
20. "I've not a clue how anyone can live here..." A dark skinned miqo'te mumbled as he passed through the gates of Ul'dah. Heavy green eyes set upon the horizon, lids narrowing as the rising sun caught his gaze, forcing him to squint. "Bloody ridiculous this place is..." He adjusted the spear attached to his back, fitting it more comfortably to his form before rolling both shoulders. "Oh come now Daca'li," a female lalafel in yellow said as she trotted along side him, lightly patting his leg to console him further. "It's not so bad. You could use a little sun! You Keeper's are all so glum and pale; a little light would do ya good!" "Feh, I'm no Seeker Ruruho...the only thing enjoyable about this trip was seeing you again, old friend." Ruruho chuckles before lightly punching his leg, turning her head up to give him that signature grin of her's. "Ahhh shut up, Daca'li. Your flattery will get you nowhere with me, sir! You're still buying my wares at normal price!" Daca'li's ear's sank as he turned to face her, hands setting upon his waist. "Damn, and here I thought all these years of flattery were doing me good. Now I have to find a new strategy." Daca'li exchanged her own grin with one of his own. His eyes shifted out to the caravan that stood outside the city awaiting those that were employed; he was happy to see others, to travel alone was never wise when transporting goods. "Is that the caravan?" Ruruho spoke as she blew a strand of hair from her eye. "Indeed it is, Ruruho. This is where we part ways," Daca'li said as he turned his gaze to the lalafel, kneeling down to set a hand upon her shoulder. "Thank you again for the new armour, Ruruho. I'm not too used to walking around in metal, but I'm sure I'll manage. Your craftsmanship is impeccable, as usual, and you even fashioned it into my favourite colour." Ruruho grinned, "heh, I figured you might like that. I know you aren't into the cosmetics of armour, but I thought you might like a little more blue in your life," she winks, "keep good care of it. I poured my soul into that armour! You best be takin' care of it!" Daca'li smirked before patting her shoulder once more. "Of course, Ruruho. I'll come back to you if I need repairs." "Good! Now, get goin'! You've got a job to do." Daca'li nodded before standing straight, adjusting his spear once more before turning to take a few steps toward the caravan. "'till next time, Ruruho." With that, Daca'li walked away, walking alongside the caravan to greet all those present with a nod. His eyes fell upon the miqo'te first, offering a small wave. His eyes shift to the male Hyur, Tobias, and Clavier next; he offered them the same gesture.
21. This looks like a fantastic idea. Ever since I started playing the game, I was always enthralled with the idea of the Garlean Empire and -really- wanted to be among them. This could be due to the fact that I love playing the bad guy; it can be heaps of fun and can provide some really interesting interactions and scenarios. That being said, I have a character I'm currently leveling, but I have no background for him just yet. I could easily (after checking what facts I have on the Garlean Empire) create a back story that is compatible with him being a Garlean soldier. I'll throw you a tell if I manage to catch you online. I'd love to talk just to make sure I have everything straight before setting a character in stone. I'm still new to this Final Fantasy and most of my knowledge comes from what I've read.
22. Oh man. I am signing up for this. So, so quickly. I hate queues so much.
23. Pretty much everyone has said my thoughts on the matter. Sure, you may not be able to respond to certain things or notice every detail realistically, but in my opinion I enjoy it. I read because I enjoy writing--I like seeing what an author can do and how they can portray a scene. For instance, for me, there are two views here--an OOC one and an IC one. OOC, I enjoy seeing what another writer can do. I like to see the skill and time they dedicate while making a character. When I see a long post that has some extra details to it, like how a character may view my character form a past experience through the hint of an emotion that my IC self might not see but the OOC can, I can find entertainment in that. The writing to me as the player catches me and draws me in and encourages me to put the same effort in. My IC self may be oblivious to the fact that someone is lost or confused or feeling uncomfortable if they aren't showing it on their expression, but I may be entertained to know that on an OOC level. ICly, I may be making someone feel like a King without realising it, when I'm actually trying to insult them IC or something. I can find humour in that and have it continued by my character still being oblivious to the fact that my intended target is indeed unphased. I hope that made sense.
24. I. Basic Info Characters: Daca'li Molkoh, Z'tahz Nunh, Edric North Primary character: Daca'li Molkoh Linkshells: Tales of Hydaelyn Primary RP linkshell: Tales of Hydaelyn [*] II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Heavy RP. IC in most situations, unless otherwise noted. I use brackets for OOC comments. Views on RP combat and injuries: RP combat really doesn't bother me, it just bothers me when people do it in...say...a city. Like...do you REALLY think that the authorities would just look away? "Oh look, there are two adventures over there fighting to the death?" No. It just doesn't happen, in my opinion. Now, I believe you can RP a fight between another person or NPC in a city, but you should be realistic and consider the fact that, yeah, guards are on the way and yes, they are going to get you if you decide to stick around. Now, if you made an effort to go into a concealed part of the city and try to duke it out, I don't mind that either. RPing the desperation to finish it quickly because you'll only have so much time until someone notices could be interesting. To add to this, making sure an attack is made at night would be much more realistic. Muggings, being jumped, gang warfare etc...they happen during the day, yes, but most happen at night. SO, I could see it happening then. Otherwise, keep it outside of the cities, and I think that's perfect. I role-play combat all the time, though rarely do I do it between another character. Mostly on NPCs for events and such. Imaaaagiiinaaationnn. 8D Views on IC romance: Nothing wrong with it. I RP romance, though I only do so with someone I trust. As long as the RP makes sense and nothing is forced, then yeah, I RP romance. I'm just choosy with those types of partners. ERP is something that I've done and have no issues with either, but again, only if it makes sense, and ONLY if I trust said person to a greater extent. If it's for fap material, then no. Go away. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Well, anything can be fun. Romantic RP, military RP, family RP etc...all of it can be fun if it's done right and you feel as if it can happen in this world. I like to stick to lore, so as long as the RP is conscious of that, then yeah I think anything can be fun. Views on lore: Ha, well I already somewhat answered this. I love sticking to lore. Creating lore or ignoring current lore is just counter-productive, in my opinion. Who's to say anyone is going to follow that? Better off writing yourself a fiction of your own. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): I like to RP in /say and /em because it may pull some others into it. Who knows? Might make a friend or two just by doing so. Linkshells are cool too, when the clutter is just too much or if you're being courteous to other role-players and such. I know I hate it when I get slammed with a wall of text and only one of the nine or so posts are of interest to me and my character. [*] III. Other Info Country: United States of 'murika. But I'm a foreigner. :< Sorta. I dunno. Ask, I'll tell. Timezone: PST. Contact info: You can find me on here, or you can throw me a whisper or add me in the game. Daca'li Molkoh, Miqo'te Keeper of the Moon. [*] [glow=blue]~Special announcements can be found in the posts below~[/glow]
