The Good (positives) [*] Its really pretty [*] Class switching is easy [*] Crafting is awesome [*] Uh... I am sure there is something else....[/list:u] The Bad (negatives) [*] Lag/Spaztasticness .. this game needs A LOT of work [*] Hard to find people to play with, and due to lag issues hard to gather for RP. [*] Omg I can has content plzkthx! I love crafting.. but really I need more to do than Craft and do the same 5 level quests over and over until I hit the next level set. Also more Lore would be great. [*] Everyone is quitting cause the game has failed to meet expectations... This I think is the one that makes me the saddest. I know I don't hop on the forums much cause well school eats my brains, but the hordes of people dropping the game "til they fix it" really is no fun.[/list:u] The Not-So-Ugly (thoughts, hopes, neutrality, etc.) [*] So far SE has been listening to what needs to be fixed.. they are being a little stubborn about the AH and Mailboxes but I think in the end the will listen and fix the game. [*] I really would like to see more to explore. I have explored all the available areas and now feel a lil jipped. What ever happened to the thrill of making it to The Hall of the Gods at lvl 10? [*] I really hope that by PS3 release they have fixed enough to bring people back. Really if by PS3 release they haven't fixed the glaring issues I may have a hard time pretending it will get better. [*] I am gonna stick around cause I really hope that it gets better. Right now my compy is down so my play time is limited to when I can steal my fiance's computer, but I am definitely around. Livejournal, Deadjournal, and Blogger all have the ability to make the layout look like old paper. Blogger is a little harder to set up that way though. I didn't realize they were putting that on the player site though, so that is pretty awesome! ^^

booo I am on campus so I can't log in and poke it with a stick to see what server has what population or make a character yet. Have my code.. just can't log in from school. The only problem I see with a re-vote is that A) it may have the same results B) It said we wouldn't re-vote. I still say Gysahl ftw, but thats cause I am a nerd. Either way I go with whatever you guys decide. In the hypothetical situation that we would have someone pick for us I think we all know who it would be hehe Cast ftw >.>

I am sorry I didn't find this thread sooner, and I also apologize for the confusion. The reason I made the site was because I have friends on multiple servers with many different play styles....(My friends are scattered across Odin, Quetz, Seraph, Pheonix, and a couple other servers) I wanted a place where 1. I could get my friends together so we could all end up generally in the same place on XIV. 2 After the game started hoped to have a place where people RP and Non RP can get together and meet new people and work together on things. It is not a Dungeon crawl or an RP forum.. Its a place where people can do whatever they enjoy on the game and make new friends in the process. Its not in any way taking away from the RPC because its not meant as a RP Coalition.. its exactly what it says it is. It is an alliance of linkshells; RP, End game, and regular social shells all alike. The RPC is for role players only really.. this isn't. If anything my site is more like a bridge between the many types of friends I have now, and the different types of new friends I hope to make in XIV.

That is kinda what I was hoping for, because I liked the one for Quetz and we didn't have that on Odin. Honestly I just didn't think anyone other that the friends I harassed into joining it would find it. lol I was really surprised to see this thread honestly. ^^;

Well I actually will be playing 2 characters for sure... with the possibility on an extra (depending on moneys as I am a student) I picked Miqo'te and Hyur. Really for me Miqo'te was sort of a natural choice.. I am a cat person. We have 2 cats, and I have always loved felines. (I reallllllly want a Serval, but waiting til we are in a house instead of an apt) I also had a mithra in XI, so it just seems right. For Hyur I had a character concept in mind, and it fit the character really well. I liked what lore I found on the Hyur and wanted to build a character that would be fun to play. The third character I want to play will actually be a male Lalafell dunesfolk. I always think its fun to RP guys can its different. I have a fun silly concept in mind for my lil taru... I mean Lalafell ... >.> I also just really don't like Elezaan.. Elvaan.. or any of those >.> Their body proportions bother me.

Armi quite replying faster than I can Its actually a mix of everything and its worded that way because I would like to welcome pretty much anyone. (Minus the jerks) I started it with friends because well... I don't know everyone that will end up playing. where better to start than with your friends. Friends of Friends are welcome or if someone comes along that wants to join it that is great too.

Pretty much.. Its basically a place where pretty much any linkshell (Minus the evil scary drama peoples) can get together and either share knowledge, plan multi-linkshell events, and it also gives people a place to make new friends. Basically if someone wants to do some Mission (If they have them in XIV), Party, End game things, or just plain fun stuff, like IG Secret Santa and RP events, then they have a place to get together with more people. Its also got a place where members can put in their character info (Job Lvl ect) and members can search for people to party with that may not be in their LS, but they at least know a bit about. However, I am a full believer in the philosophy "Its your game, you pay for it, I'm not gonna tell ya what to do." lol So if you don't feel like doing events and things you don't have to.. its just there for people to have fun with. ^^

I think that came across wrong >.> I didn't build it all by myself,Stygian (from Guardians of Balance and an IRL friend), helped me do the coding cause I am not that awesome. I just bought the domain and made the idea and directed cause I am not nearly cool enough to know all that SMF Code.

Actually FFXIV Alliance is my site. I built it as a way for friends that I have across different servers from XI to get together. Its a forum for RP and Non RP Linkshells alike to work together and share information. Anyone from here is more than welcome to join ^^ Actually really my hopes for it are that many different people from whatever server we are on join it. (But I figure that is for later when we are actually playing)

My lil 2 gil ^^ Well the 48 hour cool down gives us more time to RP hehe I played a caster in XI and Aion so I decided to go with something different this time. My friend who was playing a mage in beta said it could be a pain if you were trying to head out away from the Crystal. Honestly, I think SE is trying a lil TOO hard to make this casual player friendly.. but at the same time it helps me go study when I should be. Plus >.> I can go play XI if I get too bored
