  1. Going to have to disagree on BDO having fighting Game-esque combat while it does have action-esque combat, BnS is closer to a fighting game (With more emphasis on countering, blocking, grappling, and combos.) and not Tera. That said the major differences between these games is your personal focus, and art style prefrence. Personally I prefer the more anime-esque visuals to BnS over the more realistic BDO. But to break it down. BnS is if - You want intuitive combat where player skill actually matters, not how well you remembered your rotation. World Tournament Level PvP (Yes they have a world tournament and we're being groomed for it as well.) Well put together trinity-less dungeons, with raids on the way (per Team Bloodlust.) A martial arts asian fantasy Fairly balanced classes (the level 50 patch in Korea is some of the best class balancing I've seen in an MMO.) BDO is if- You want Open world sandbox Housing World PvP Crafting More traditional European Fantasy both are pretty lackluster in lore. (BnS is slightly better, but only if you know the actual Korean story not the localized one.) Both are lacking proper endgame, in the traditional sense (for now.) Both have restrictions on classes (where BnS is race, BDO is gender locked on some.) These games cater to two very different crowds of people (sure there is some overlap I'm sure.) Whether any of us feel one is better than the other, really lies in your own gaming preferences and what you want to do with your gaming time. Me I'm a PvPer, and I enjoy fighting game level tournaments more so then world PvP zerg fests (BnS has World PvP too, but it's not the focus of their PvP). So BnS is more my thing. Some of you care more about housing and crafting so BDO would be more your thing. There's no wrong answer, it's just what you'd rather do for your leisure time.
  2. This is my big hangup as well. I love me some anime visuals and all that (TALES GAMES TALES GAMES TALES GAMES TALES GAMES), but for some reason the people in Blade and Soul look kinda sweaty and greasy and just...Odd. It's a little odd and sometimes downright nightmarish to look at. That, and I don't like the way that they executed their overworld design either. The animations also look rather stiff and don't flow well to me. I'll still probably try it anyway because I really like the concept of the game that they're making, but I'm still firmly more excited for Black Desert at the moment. You can actually turn that gloss off all together, it's an option in the character creator. (which is actually a very good Character creator.) The Lyn/Elin creep me out, too. It really isn't the race by themselves, it was the players who gravitated toward them. The fact that I have to be one to play a Summoner pisses me off, too. It's such a terrible design decision. I dunno I managed to make a really good looking old master style Lyn. You can do a lot with the character creator.
  3. You totes need to get a gaming rig!!! You'd love this game!!!
  4. Admittedly, I'm mainly going for PvP, (The PvE is pretty good to, the dungeons I've gotten to do so far were awesome.) If a good RP community springs up and engrosses me further into the game awesome. As for the game story it really isn't bad, but the localization team are butchering it. I know there are some mods for the Korean and Japanese voices. and and English subtitle mod, from the foreign clients you can install to get the real story. NC Soft also did an amazing Musical at the BnS World Tourney this past year. BpU__y0FOnQ
  5. It's F2P out of the gate. I think the combat once you start getting into the block and counter mechanics is a lot deeper and more fun than Tera's!
  6. Warlock, looks so freaking good, I can not wait for that class, watched the Korean reveal of it.. and OMG!! *drools*
  7. http://www.bladeandsoul.com/en/ No housing, and it seems like the general community doesn't really want it from what I've been reading. So who knows if it will ever be a thing.
  8. Assassin was my 2nd Fav, Kung Fu Master is my fav though. I just feel like a wrecking ball. It's awesome.
  9. Already there. *thumbs up* after doing beta.. I can't stop thinking about the game. The Combat is just so something I need in my life.
  10. I think the women's division of WWE is killing it right now. They do more technical wrestling than the Men's Division has done in decades. It's funny when I stopped watching a few years ago the women's division was alll about flips and shit, I come back and it's submission hold city and it's awesome. I'm a freaking huge Paige fan now.
  11. Other Character: "I really like you." My Character: "What did you say?"
  12. August 8th - Dustin Hoffman, Sable (Rena Mero), The Edge (U2), and ..... Scott Stapp (Creed Giant pompous dick bag.)...fuck.. why Scott Stapp...
  13. Um no, some people have been burned to many times by companies pulling this shit so their a bit cynical. But what ever keep making assumptions it's what you do. Edit- Admittedly that's what I'm doing as well, so pot meet kettle and all that I know.
  14. I'm not sure how not wanting to shell out possibly $60.00 (Just a guess on price, this may be cheaper.) multiple times to finish a single game makes one a purist fanboy... I'd rather wait longer and get a complete game, than pay for installments to have it quicker. This is likely what I'll do anyways wait til it's all done and get some sort of package deal if one ever exists. They have stated, that they are going to be multiple, full sized games. If you've never heard of Xenosaga 1,2,and 3. Or the .hack games. They're doing that approach. So as to make all of FF7's old content in full with little to no cuts. Yeah but I already own FF7 with no cuts in one game. Shiny new graphics and game engine doesn't excuse making this into multiple games. I'm not buying that excuse from SE. It sounds like an excuse to get the game out earlier and get as much money as possible for it just like Starcraft 2.
