Hello and welcome to my failure of an introduction! I'm a bit of timid bug when it comes to these things; because having to introduce yourself is like trying to not offer your soul to the devil. In which case, I'm doomed. Alright, so I guess to the basics. I'm a Role player; if that part wasn't obvious, and I play on Balmung (Hurrrrrah!). I have a few characters in the game. But, the current one is my lovely little Miqo'te Pearl .I've been dabbling in the roleplay scene for a bit over eleven years now and I'd like to consider myself seasoned; It's great on salty meats! (Don't take that the wrong way you dirty birds!) I'm a happy person, in general, and I love meeting new people and making long term friends! Umm, I consider myself to be fun.. but, that's really in the eye of the beholder. I can be a strange earthling.. A lot strange... I'll probably make for Wiki's for my other characters; in due time, and update this introduction. But, for the time being, I've just got one thing to say...

I'd have no problems making an alternative character to be at your disposal. If you'll have me, I shall be honored to take on the role.

My goodness! many replies and so much I've missed. I'll be sure to add each one of your; if you'd allow me. :3

Not quite new but I haven't RP'd a ton yet partly for the same reasons ^^/ Glad to know the feeling is mutual then. :3 This will be a deadly battle of neither of us being able to initiate conversation. I shall challenge this! We will fisty cuffs at dawn! giggles

Well, currently it's Gridania. Old or New. Poets more towards the Bontanist area and Vivi is just everywhere. I have a hyur who is very friendly and "casual" about everything so even the most silliest forms of small talk wouldn't bother him I guess, he'd understand that she is nervous(I am guessing she is too from your title) so it could help both ICly and OOCly? ^^ ; I am quite shy about such things myself but not to the same extent. Totally up to you however. My characters could easily be perceived as boring -o- That'd be awesome. I'm glad to see I'm not the only shy one around here; even if you're fresh to the community or not. But to answer you're estimation. Yes, Poet is a nervous nancy.

I figured this would be a fun way to actually see if I can get an opinion how to step outside my little shy bubble. Which I have slowly done on the forums.. and by slowly I mean at a turtles pace. Anyways, onto the ordeal. I've got two characters, whom I adore to role play.Yet, I'm too shy to even commence a hello. Now, I understand it's the whole 'New to the community' thing. But, I find it so challenging to even type or /wave to anyone without a slight fear. I know many of us have been in the same boat, once upon a time. But, it's making me so stupidly insecure about my characters. Anybody ever get that way in a new environment? Any advice for a lone wanderer on how to escape this bubble?

I'm always too shy to do these kinds of things. But, I'll give it a shot!

Third wheel is never fun. I've been that third wheel, it's mortifying. I believe if you keep a concept open, it lets others come in. But, ever have that third wheel turn into a full transport truck? It becomes crowded after a bit and then the role play loses interest. I love large groups to role play in, if it's got a concept that lets others place opinions and such in. Any who, I swerved off topic for a moment. I found that emoting a nod or an interest in listening always brings the attention back to you so you can get a bit of small feed back. But, it doesn't always work. I could do that for hours; invited into the role play prior too, and have it just be.. me watching them role play. As fun as it is, I prefer to indulge myself into it. But, I can agree with all of you; thus far. If it's private, party or whispers is nice.

Characters: Poet Orahile, Viviti Vivi Primary character: Both Characters are my Primaries. Linkshells: Currently not in one. Primary RP linkshell: Not Afflicatable Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): I’m not particularly picky on the amount of role play I receive. But, I do prefer Medium to Heavy Role-players. I’m not a big fan of one liners and I also enjoy the more detailed postings. My style is very Novella, when it comes to role play, and I try to ensure I don’t intimidate others with it. So please, if you desire to role play with me, stick to your style and don’t feel like you need to place more onto a post because I do. Be yourself. Views on RP combat and injuries: Role play is always diverse when you can take an injury you received from a combat and play it well. Don’t abuse it to get attention.. it’s odd when people use an injury to grab attention from everyone around them. I’m pro Injury. I’m also Pro role play combat. I mean, it has it’s good and bad. But, if you get two people to understand that you aren’t godly and can dodge everything. Then all for it. I have no fear in taking a stab to the gut or a punch to anything.. or even being tossed off the hill side. Just, role play it correctly. Views on IC romance: Romance Role play is a bit iffy for me. I don’t actively seek romance in a role play; as it has happened where one person gets attached emotionally Out of characterly and has caused issues. My rule is, if you wish to be a romantic interest to my character then keep it In character and don’t bring it out of it. Views on non-romantic RP(family ties, etc): It brings an interesting concept and a new aspect to the role play. I don’t mind it. But, once more, refer to the Romance section about the IC versus OOC conflict rules. Views on lore: I can proudly admit I’m still learning more and more about the lore every day.I love it thus far and can’t wait to learn more. Please, don’t lore bend. Views on chatfunctions (/say, /linkshell, etc): I think I forgot that this MMO actually has a /emote, /me, /e or /em. So, it’snice to see that instead of having to spam the /say with my lengthy posts.. Though, I tend to do that with the emotes too.. Country: Where the Polar bears roam wild and free. That, and I have to live in an Igloo. Canada. Timezone:EST Contact info: I prefer In game or on the Forums.. Private message, PST, Whisper, Email. Pick your poison. Currently on a Guild/Linkshell hunt!

Oh my! The current Edition our groups been playing with is the fourth Edition. I heard Pathfiders is good. Haven't looked into my self yet.. Surprisingly, it wasn't at the tavern. Though, the mentioning of 'the wild' instantly made me think of pokemon. Why? because a wild (Insert rp'er) has been spotted! Once I get around to leaving the starting area, I will surely look for you! :3

I'd be interested in a pearl. New concept to me. But, it looks very useful.

Thank you kindly for the valued links. Yes, Everquest was a a diamond in the rocks for sure. As for role play out of MMO's, yes. I have done several form role plays as well as larping and DnD nights. This is where the term dork comes in real handy. I have been exploring the site so I've stumbled across most of the informants that could possible guide me to a bit more understanding of how the community is. Thus far, a pleasant sight. So far I've had the pleasure of indulging myself into some roleplay! Successful as well. So, it was really a happy medium. And the gutter, is a home to all. But, wouldn't putting your mind in the gutter as a method of time out.. be kind of pointless? Unless you find it to be a torment.

Thank you very much~ I'll be sure to keep an eye out for you! Thank you :3

Oh me oh my! Always good to see helping hands.. Unless they get grabby..I extend the invitation out to you as well. If you fancy a role play session, feel free to poke me too! I'll even provide the poking sticks!

Why thank you for the blessed welcome. A warm and humble one indeed. A touch of crazy has never harmed one for; has it? Though, I do await a tell in the near by future! I'll hold you too it.

Hello everyone. I'm new to the site and community. I am an odd one and I rather endure that. I look forward to being able to make my character profile and role playing in the community! I hope you find me just as interesting or fun to be around too. MMORPG background It's been so long since I've gotten around to remembering my first MMORPG.. I believe it was Everquest.. If I remember correctly. I've been playing MMO's for quite sometime so.. it's nothing special! RP experience I have a wonderful role play history. I've been at this old pup for twelve years. It hasn't gotten old and I adore all types of role plays. Please... get you head out of the gutter D: Silliness aside, my roleplay experiance over those long twelve years has be phenomenal. I've grown and expanded my way of roleplaying since then. I feel like it's been apart of my life and makes me less shy than I usually am outside the screen and keys. Character ideas/info I'm currently working on this.. So Very little can be said. How did you learn about the coalition? I'm not supposed to tell anyone. But, they made me drink the punch.. The rest was a fuzzy memory. What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy? I'm a detailed writer when it comes to role play. I adore Heavy to Medium styles and I try to avoid being a novella.. It scares the children. Anything from real life you're comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc) I can proudly say I'm a College student of five years. A degree in graphic design and soon to be a Social Service Worker with Children and Families. So, it's super exciting.
