  1. There's really only one or two reasons to ask this question and all of them are gross. By extension you are also gross. Just gross dude.
  2. I never could understand how someone could knock on a game's questing mechanics or combat without, you know, playing the game. I mean art style, yeah. It's COMPLETELY love it or hate it. I obviously love it. Hyper-stylized games last much much longer than anything going for even semi-realism and the environments have more personality than a lot of games out there. But you've never quested in the game or fought anything so how can you comment on combat or questing?
  3. I was in Wildstar all the way back in CBT2 and it's come a long way since then. I'm not the most partial critic as I have a friend from vanilla WoW on the dev team but from that insight I can say this at the very least: Carbine gets it. They get it hard. They understand PvP. They understand RP and for as much complaining about the 40 man raids they understand PvE and how it should function. To be honest? I miss 40 man raiding. You can make the argument that 25 man raids were more accessible (End game shouldn't be Wal-Mart imo. Not everyone should get a ticket to ride.) and easier to manage. The only valid point I'll cede is the second. It's harder to manage 40 people. But I think the scale of the encounter more than makes up for it. The only boss after Vanilla WoW that I cared about downing was Lich King, the smaller scale simply robbed most others of the epic feeling. The art style isn't for everyone, not gonna argue that point. But from a gameplay point of view you aren't going to do better than Wildstar. By contrast from being in the ESO beta I think it's a gigantic crap fest that will cost people their jobs.
  4. As a suggestion from what I can see sitting here in Gridania might be to give each FC a bit of face time up front at first. Opening speech, an introduction as it were. Just splitting off into your own little area tends to make smaller FC's kind of disappear compared to the large gatherings. A small IC introduction followed by an OOC statement of goals and what type of FC you have to be might have been nice. Then breaking off into individual groups for smaller play.
  5. Fantastic idea. I know either myself or one of my officers will be there!
  6. Hehe I knew you as Alanth and, of course, Elyle as well. Yes, I remember you! Sasori says hello as well. Well this is officially not how I thought this thread was go. But it's good to hear from you two!
  7. Oh my god Delial? This is Aljinda, do you remember me? I used to get confused during raids on vent because your name sounded like my rogues name <_<
  8. Narrowly averted though, it'd be like showing up wearing the same dress wouldn't it? Anyway! Greetings! My name is Alanth No'telyle in game and I primarily play on Gilgamesh. As in only on Gilgemesh at the moment. I've been pretty engrossed in the game though I haven't seen too much RP in my wanderings so I'm hoping giving this site a poke will help liven it up. I've been playing MMO's for about ten years having been very involved in the RP community on my WoW server of Feathermoon for roughly eight of those. My wife is playing here with me (Fun fact: I met her at an RP event in WoW about seven years ago. We've been married for five!) and we've recently started an FC with a few friends. I'd like to roll the concept off some people before I completely commit but mostly? Just wanted to say hello!
