Well I am glad someone feels the same way.

Well I am sure I don't need much introduction, my posts always seem very well popular. Today I ask you how much is too much. Recently I was rping with a lovely Miqo'te girl for roughly 4 hours, we talked about anything that came to mind. I was trying to get in there as most males do and kept the flow of talk going. I admit even though it was all RP I really enjoyed just sitting on a bench talking about anything that came to mind. Someone happen to message me, they said "dude, you are proberly talking to a dude." And he thought I seemed a little desperate however that wasn't the case at all I truely was having a good time and my new friend did too. Whether she is truely female or not honestly does not matter. Was I there too long, I could have kept going? And I honestly do not care if the person is really male or female because when I RP that does not matter and I feel I am better off not knowing all together to get the full RP effect. But I would like to know others thoughts on this.

II.RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Medium to Heavy my main reason I play is to RP, I enjoy it so if you see me I am most likely RPing. Views on RP combat and injuries: I don't mind hurting or being hurt, as long as it van be done believably, I also believe in death but try to avoid it. Views on IC romance: I am all for it as long as some guy out there can really WOW me, though I have been know to chase a little. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Sadly this character has not much living family, she most likely has half brothers and sister out there, but she does not know them. Views on lore: Loreis lore, it is a good base for many adventures and stories. Things such as Aether serve as good plot devices. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): Theyserve as out connection to others, and is extremly helpful if something goes wrong in RP. I have a question. Why is this topic so popular?

First of all I would like to thank everyone for their opinions. I can see that much of the community is about 50/50 when it comes to RP. Some people like using emotions to their advantage, some try not to get emotionally involved. We arnt here to criticise how others play their game, as we all play differently. This topic was made so people can share their expirences about their play style, and I wanted to know if other went into their RP the same way I did. While playing my character I will admit I as the player can over react on my characters emotions, and sometimes I feel like she is being ruled by her emotions. I also recently made an alt, unlike my main, she has a strict story and I honestly do not feel the emotions she feels, this might just be that I am not as attacted to her like my main. Anyways the most important thing is have fun.

In the end I think people approach the RP scene differently. Whether people are like me "a complete emotional wreck" or someone that just enjoys their character adventures. I somewhat enjoy the emotional roller coaster as I would not typically expirence this in a real world situation. Finally however people play, what is important is to have fun, remember this is a game.

I am glad we all feel the same way, just another thing. I found it really helps when you get a friend or and outsider to talk to about whatever situation that character is in. They can see things that you would not see or too depressed to see yourself.

Hi I am Kimikimi, you might remember me from the Getting Married post. I wanna talk to you about something that has happened to me. I have been Role playing a lot and well if my character is meant to be sad or upset, I get upset or sad in real life. Now I am wondering, my characters RP seems to be changing around her, and it is effecting me as the player. I have set path I have for her, but detours have come up and left her feeling depressed. This is also making me feel depressed. So has anyone else felt this way about their character or another character, do we all experience these feelings?

What happened to the thread? So funny story, because I am from Australia, and I have a different account I use. I never noticed this getting so much attention. Secondly, I got married in game. Then it didn't work out so now I am single again. Also love what you guys did with the place while I was gone.

So I spontaneously go married, its a long story. Actually it is quite short. So I have a friend who apparently got married, I got a little jealous and saw a random guy and got married to him. Now I know what you are thinking, "How can you marry someone, you just met." Well I can say, spontaneously getting married to someone without and consequences is quite exciting and a thrilling experience. I want treat my new husband with all the respect he deserves, and better myself, learn ways to become a stronger woman for him. We haven't had a lot of time to get to know each other, but we will make up for time we haven't spent together. The problem I have is what do we do now? I want to please him, but don't know how I would go about it. We are both a little shy about our arrangement. So let me know what I should do.

Since this thread is still new, I thought I would like to add. Hey I am new to RP too and also play a Lalafell female. I honestly have little ideas on my RP and just taking it as it comes. Perhaps my back story will thicken later. But like many people here I am mostly alone in the world of RP and would like to make friends.
