Reminder that event is tonight. Also, due to continued harassment from a certain individual, this will be the last event i advertise on these forums.

When? thursday august 20th 7:00pm, Kitchen closes at 9:00pm EST. Where? lavender beds ward 4 plot 47 This is a special made cafe to help fundraise for our FC! There will be an admission of 1k (1,000gil) to receive service(one time fee). We will also be accepting donations, all gil earned will be put towards upgrading our fc housing. Fee and donations should either be processed to Floria Raine or Sorora Everen. We will not be hiring outside help during this event, sorry to anyone who wished to be a maid for a night. OOC: An open house for Everen Academy and trade, meant to demonstrate it's culinary arts program (Although in a questionable aesthetic by it's teacher ...) And one of the many fun events the academy provides for it's students, faculty and their relatives! This is a social event based around food and cosplay. There will be food porn emotes provided by yours truly, Floria Raine (Food porn, completely family friendly). Food and drink on the menu will include various teas, juices, milk based drinks, sandwiches, baked goods, salads ....ect! Challenge me with odd requests if you please! Please note, this is meant as a family/general audience friendly event, harassment or lewd/rude comments will not be acceptable ic or ooc, and may result in your removal, please respect our staff! Unfortunately i'm going to have to cancel the tournament indefinitely. Do to complications in my personal life i will be able to be around to host the event without dramatic change to the date or time and i have other engagements to take care of at the moment.

the event is also advertised over tumblr, where it received much more attention. Thank you for coming, i'm glad you had fun!

What's expected of the help staff?: We're looking for hosts, waiters, and waitresses! flexible uniform requirements, as long as you can be recognized as a staff member, we'll accept it! Bring your family and friends![/align] Everen academy is planning on upgrading our housing plot within the nearish future, so to do this, we're planning several fund raising events to help out. This maid cafe won't be one, however we'll be having a special edition maid cafe to help fund raise in the middle of the month, however at this current one, we'll be accepting donations for this cause <3!

Thanks to everyone who showed up! and to Sorora who donated an extra incentive for the bonus round! For next week, i'll be opening up sponserships! If you'd like your fc or ic business to be advertised, a fee of 10k gil per advertisement will be required. This fee will go towards the reward pot. If you'd like your fc or business advertised, please send me a private message on the forums with a small description and name, after approval i'll try to get in contact with you in game quickly. Donations will still be welcomed. Depending on interest in advertisement, i will make a decision on entry fees before the next golden sands.

Event reminder!

Alright so I've decided that we'll try to use the area out side halatali once more and see how effectively we can manage the space there. If we have to, we can spill out the gates on either side. Last time was just a little hectic and i did misjudge how many groups we had when splitting groipw between the enforcers. I would like to have an extra enforcer or two available if anyone wants to volunteer for the role. I'd also like a few healers on hand, if anyone wants to volunteer for thay as well

i might open up advertisement for the week of the 29th, so if you'd like to put in a sponsorship then, that would be great! for next week, i won't be charging any entry fees since the reward has already been covered, but i will bring up some ideas in the thread. perhaps tomorrow morning i'll scout out some areas around for a wider location and post them up here for people thoughts on relocation, just so we can spread out more easily.

I saw you creeping around, warren! A special thank you to vale, who donated 100k. I will not be accepting anymore donations for next week's event the rewards will be distributed as first place 50k second place 30k third place 20k.

Another idea i had... perhaps if people would like to advertise ic businesses or fcs at the event, perhaps charging for advertisement to build up the reward?

Thanks to everyone who showed up at the event! it a huge success and a lot more than i could have hoped for showed up! Now, before the next one starts up, i would like to take suggestions for the event. The area i chose for the event seems to be rather cramped, and more intended for a smaller turn out, perhaps a location change is in order? perhaps out around the lake in dry bone? Also, funding for winner prizes. Unfortunately i don't have much free gil to be able to fund many ooc prizes, soo ... i'd like some opinions, ideas or suggestions. Perhaps charging a small entry fee, which would go to the winner? Community donations? Let's here some suggestions!

haha,i was originally going to go with a different name then the golden sands were suggested, i had only noticed a ls/fc post for it in the linkshell hall a couple hours after posting this.

When? Wednesdays at 8pm EST! Where?! Eastern Thanalan (15,29) just out side of halatali! OOC Information!: Welcome to the golden sands! A weekly combat tournament based out in halatali, a professional combat show! Up close melees, long ranged guns and bows, and mages all alike welcomed. Come fight for fame and glory and fortune! Hear the roar of the crowd as you set up your signature move! Alright, i'm trying to figure out how i want to explain this ... and i can't come up with that right words, so hopefully i can get the image across. So think of the rune stone, the grind stone, combined with the glitz and glamour of the coliseum and showmanship and silly narratives of wwe. That's what i'd like to aim for with this event. A martial tournament with some silly narrative and narrations going on in the background, perhaps some personas going on and just ... a show for the crowd and fighters both to enjoy! So come on down to the sand gates/halatali on wednesday 8pm EST! IC: Posters set up all throughout the city states "New combat tournament, the gold sands!". Retainers handing out linkshells to gruff looking sorts and bored looking individuals, anyone who made eye contact with the retainers ended up with a link pearl "We're announcing the gold sands really soon!" Once all the pearls have been handed out "Greetings Everyone!" A woman's voice spoke across the linkshells "I am Snowel Silwin, Head of Silwin industries, soon to be the top magitec workshop in all of Eorzea*! And i'm here to announce ... The gold sands! What is that you ask? why, it's a combat tournament! come by halatali on wednesday to find out! Test your strength or come to view the show! Bring your stories and your blades and your lust for fortune and fame!" RULES: 1: Do not attempt to kill or seriously maim your opponent. Anyone who makes an attempt on the life of their opponent will have their own life ended as well. "Silwin Industries is not held responsible for loss of life or limb, but we can guarantee an Eye for an eye policy. If you attempt to kill anyone, fighter or viewer, your life is forfeit." 2: Combat will be /random based, each fight will begin with a roll for initiative and then go on from there. If players wish to use rolz or similar websites, both parties should agree. If you're un sure of something, please ask questions! 3: Be respectful towards each other (ooc! feel free to trash talk icly all you want! egg the audience on and become the villian everyone loves to hate!) 4: Punctuality! If you wish to fight, please be lined up by 8pm EST sharp! We don't want to be waiting too long for things to get started, and announcements and rules will be reviewed as the event starts. 4: Rules on weapons. Icly all projectiles will be blunted/blanks suitable for non lethal yet damaging shots, and magic should be more flash than bash! Make it as showy as you want, but it's power will be considered non lethal and limited. * advertisement may be false and silwin industries is not responsible for crushed hopes and dreams of employees.
