1. I submitted a character, K'ahriah Fystwyn. I would like to be in the fc as well if possible, thanks ♥ Please contact me on the submitted discord for questions or concerns.
2. Raimy had asked some random person on the grounds where to find the Abbot and they directed him toward the man in the little seat. Raimy gave a little nod of his head, mostly looking down. Just a lowly courier, nothing more. Raimy walks up to the Abbot and looks up and directly at the man for just a second to judge the receptiveness and alertness of the other. "I have a message for the Abbot." After getting a confirmation that this is indeed the Abbot, Raimy will reach into his satchel and pull out a small hard case he uses to carry sealed letters in so the seals won't accidentally break while he's traveling. Raimy doesn't really know any way to prove the man is who they all say so he'll just have to take their words for it. He opens the case and takes out the letter, glancing at the still in place seal first just to make sure and then offers it to the Abbot. He says nothing else. Talkative couriers annoy people. Trying to pretend the cold isn't bothering him, he stands and waits as if for a response. You always wait to see if there will be a response. He keeps his eyes still downward mostly, but also paying attention to the task at hand. He watches the Abbot's hands taking the letter and will glance away only if the Abbot breaks the seal to read it in front of him. A good courier doesn't try to peek at such things.
3. Raimy was cold. He hated the cold. Anywhere it can snow is nowhere Raimy ever wants to be. He'd found the chapel and would refused to give the letter to anyone other than the one instructed, as is typical of any good delivery boy. Delivering the letter to the Abbot was easy enough. It's what he does, he's a courier... was a courier he reminds himself. Now he's a Flame... where they do crazy stuff like redact people. He still can't wrap his mind around that and can't help but wonder how Titor fares, letting his mind wander from his task to his friend. He takes a deep breath as he tries to refocus on the job at hand but the air freezes in his lungs and doesn't help his focus much. He bundles his coat up tighter and trudges through more snow. His weapons are hidden and he carries a satchel so to anyone else he still looks like just a courier on a job. At least in passing. He's never been just a courier, but the cover has always worked very well for him. No one has asked him his name yet, which is good. He hasn't made up a new even though Erik ordered him too. It was so hard to come up with Raimy Rouchet the first time. He hopes he'll be able to think of one before someone does something crazy like ask him his name.
4. Raimy frowns slightly when Erik tells him to check his rivalries. He'd already let that go after they saved Doc and he decided to stay with this crew for good. He'd tried to make it up to the kid, but so far has been unsuccessful. He closes the distance to the other two when given his task and reaches out to accept the letter offers him. He commits the location and person to deliver to to memory, repeating it softly to himself and out of habit to show the customer he is indeed remembering the details. He looks down at Mikh'a when the kid tries to encourage him and just smiles softly and puts a hand on the kid's shoulder in response, not saying anything in return. He's a courier. He can deliver a message. That confidence wavered a little bit standing on the ground in the snow when he bid the others farewell. He had left his Flame gear on the ship and picked something a little more courier looking out of the options of spare clothing in the hold. He reassured the others that he had this, though it's not the first time he's said that phrase and no one believed him. He's a courier though and this task is part of his daily life... or what was his daily life before he joined the Flames. It almost feels good to slip back into that roll even as a guise. Like the only care he has is delivering the package on time and in one piece. Or in this case, still sealed.
5. Raimy doesn't follow Erik and Mikh'a to the back of the room. Erik didn't motion for him and he isn't going to presume anything. He wants to be tight with this crew, as close as he was with his last, but he knows that will take time and he can't just barrel into things and throw himself around. For now he'll just take things slow and wait for orders, playing the good little cabin boy. He is more than half tempted to go volunteer himself for some other task. Crow's nest maybe? He doesn't just in case Erik has specific orders for him after his more intimate conversation with Mikh'a is over. When Mikh'a says Erik knows everything Raimy wonders if Erik knows the threats Raimy has issued against Mikh'a before. He glances down and toward the door slightly, wondering if he should cut his loses now or keep trying to make amends with the crew. He never really meant to join them. He just needed to get to Titor's notes to help him with his issues at that time. He ended up getting far more in the way than he helped and was no use at all. Once again he dived in without thinking and now finds himself out of his element. Another reason he doesn't say or do much, he isn't sure what to say or do. He looks back up at the other two when Mikh'a alludes to something dark in his past. Why would Mikh'a have to keep his head low anywhere? The kid is perfect. Everyone loves him. He pushes the thought away as the conversation turns to more interesting topics, like the current state of things and what they'll do about it. Earlier he was hoping they would split up, but now he worries Mikh'a needs someone to watch his back. The only enemy Raimy has in Ishgard is the snow. His red shirt he wears under his Flame coat feels a little colder just thinking about it. He was wearing that shirt when he almost froze to death the last time.
6. Raimy had been expecting the kid to come in and make sure he was doing his task right and to finish it. When he hears Mikh'a call to him he gives a little shrug looking around the lab and hopes whatever he grabbed was the right stuff. Everything he left behind he tried to shove in the safe. He can't help but wonder with the lack of people storming the building if there wasn't really a trap afterall and everyone else was just paranoid. No one tried to kill them or arrest them or anything. Maybe they're just overreacting after a failed mission? That VIP was hot though. Raimy frowns thinking of a shame it is someone so good looking got killed on his watch. He picks up the crate of notes and comes back out to go stand near the kid. He doesn't say anything but just waits. He is still fully in his uniform. He can lose the jacket but he's pretty sure Erik said they were going somewhere cold. Raimy hates the cold. He also hates the snow. Raimy follows Mikh'a down to the hanger and loads the crate wherever looks most ideal to his old sailor eyes or wherever the kid tells him. It is shortly after he secures the crate that Erik comes in and tells them to be ready to launch. Raimy could tell Erik was talking to Mikh'a, but out of habit can't help but quickly respond with a little, “Aye aye.”
7. Raimy isn't sure why they brought him with them back to Ul'dah. By the sounds of it there are important things to see to and be done, but he hasn't been with them long enough to know what those things might be. His mind wanders to Seighart and he can't help but wonder if his friend is going to fill his flask before heading to The Shroud. Raimy could hide in The Shroud. Or on his own. Erik tells them to see to the important things so Raimy decides to just follow orders as best he can for now. He knows the kid doesn't like him because he'd made a few threats against the kid when they first met. He didn't meant them.. mostly. For now he sticks with Mikh'a anyway. He knows he'll creep Mikh'a out enough that the kid will snap at him and give him something to do, and it works. All of Raimy's extra clothes are at Titor's house, so all he has is his Flames coat. He grabs all the notes he can find and stuffs his coat with as much as he can carry, or readies it to go on the ship with them by putting what he can in a box. He figures if he leaves any behind someone else will tear the place apart later and find them. Safes can be cracked, hiding holes can be found. These notes won't be taken until Raimy is dead.
8. Everyone, Wow, I didn't really expect so many responses the first day of the post. Thanks everyone for showing some interest in my humble characters. I look forward to seeing you all around. Sometimes I'm too shy to walk up to others IC to initiate rp, but will always respond, (unless I went afk without warning.) ♥, Newbie
9. I'm rather new to this game. Only been playing for less than a month and I've yet to make any friends to play with. I need RP connections. Characters for mine to meet, maybe some they already know from their pasts. . . that type of thing. Important points about my RP: Server - Balmung Lore Correct - I always play by the lore of the game I'm on, which includes but is not limited to naming conventions. Daytime Player – I work, so I can't stay up all hours of the night Rping. This is one of the reasons I haven't found people to rp with yet, I know a group that only plays when I'm asleep. I need one that keeps similar hours as I do so we can all have fun and I never get left out of the story. Weekdays 6pm-10pm CDT (4-8 PDT) Weekends 8am-10pm CDT (6am-8pm PDT) IC Love - Romance is okay but, ERP not my style. I'm a fade-to-black kind of girl. My characters: I have several characters and all of them I've kept pretty loose backgrounds on so that there is room for others to come in with past connections on their own characters for a more rounded rp story. Also, because I'm new to this game I'm sure I've gotten a lore piece wrong here or there. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v354/Mekehlee/FFXIV/RaimyRouchet.png[/img] Raimondaux Rouchet has been a pretty bloody pirate in his past life. There was/is wanted posters that called him Bloody Fist Rai. His full name wasn't known in pirate circles and during those times he heads inland he goes more by his full name, never having liked the pirate name to begin with. Despite having been a blood thirsty killer out to line his pockets with whatever he could take, he has a large heart for orphans and those displaced by the Calamity. I'll probably be slowly taking him more toward good guy and less cut throat pirate as his story progresses, but a lot of that might depend on what happens to him on that journey and what other players bring to the table there. He's not much of a talker, and can often be seen sitting alone on benches around Ul'dah. Most often near the chocobo renter person or in the Gold Court. He likes the sound of water and the comfort of stone over his head. He is a duskwight Elezen. He also hates weather. . Or well any weather that isn't sunny with a soft breeze. His side cover while in Ul'dah is courier. He can be seen moving around the city delivering messages and packages and will take such jobs IC as well. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v354/Mekehlee/FFXIV/JhakGold.png[/img] Jhak Gold doesn't know where he's from. He's a Hyur Midlander, but was injured during The Calamity and can't remember his life before that event. Gold isn't Jhak's real surname, he forgot it, so his friends called him Gold because it's a pirate's favorite thing and the color of Jhak's hair. He's young, somewhere in his early twenties maybe. He was found in Ul'dah among the other refugees by Raimondaux Rouchet and taken into piracy. That particular crew of pirates was some of those who were having trouble letting go of their old ways and event since the Calamity have gotten into a spot of trouble with the law. The ship was attacked and sunk and the captain was arrested/captured. (I've left even that part open to a lot of details in case others wanted to come in as rivals pirates, law enforcement, the displaced captain . .whom was never named but the boys have referred to her as a woman.) Jhak and Raimy got into an argument as Jhak wanted to save the captain, but Raimy wouldn't let him. Another friend of theirs had gotten injured and Raimy thought it was more important to get Li to safety than save the captain, claiming she could take care of herself. When they got to shore, they parted ways however. Jhak went to Limsa Lominsa hoping to hear word of his captain and the rest of the crew and to learn more about the old book he's found. Now he's on his way to becoming an arcanist. He's also trying the adventurer thing as his cover and a way to make a few coin in a legal manner. Side note: Raimy is in Ul'dah again to try and locate Jhak's missing family or information about his young friend to try and make things up to him. Raimy isn't the type to apologize, but tries to make it right in other ways. And I'm sure he has other shady reasons for being there as well, just not sure what those are yet. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v354/Mekehlee/FFXIV/KherahLiKhazar.png[/img] Kherah'li Khazhar is a Miqo'te Keeper of the Moon. His pirate friends often just call him Li. He seems pretty laid back and easy going on the surface, maybe a bit of a goof, but that is all his front. Like Jhak he can't find his family. Which is why he was taken in by Raimy and became a pirate. The crew became his family and his captain his new mother. Now that she's gone he's returned to The Shroud to see if he can find more survivors of his biological family. They lived in an area that was hit by The Calamity and he believes most of them to be lost, but holds out hope he'll find a sister or two, or even his mother has survived. Otherwise his story is wide open for connections from his past. Li had no skills and couldn't help when the ship went down, so he has decided to learn to be an archer. It's not practical for a pirate ship, but his pirate friends aren't around to tell him that at the moment. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v354/Mekehlee/FFXIV/KikiruKiru.png[/img] Kikiru Kiru is a Dunesfolk Lalafell. She is spunky with a mouth as big as she is short. I have no other backstory set up for her yet at all. She is wide open for suggestions and connections. She thinks that others are too tall and should watch where they are going. She always feels like she's about to get stepped on and this puts her in an almost permanent irritated mood. If a cute boy Lalafell stops to flirt with her she will smile and eventually run away. In her mind this is playing hard to get. (Yes I've done this a few times.) Others: I also have a few other characters in the make that I haven't actually put in the game yet. All of them female. A Highlander Hyur I thought about going marauder with. (She was going to be the pirate captain mentioned above, but then I realized I didn't want to play that many of my own background characters.) A Hellsguard for whom I haven't decided a class yet, probably lancer. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v354/Mekehlee/FFXIV/ZertaynaTais.png[/img] And Tanya, a Midlander Hyur who is all set to be my black mage someday. If any of these characters interest you and you are a lore correct player who plays around the times I can be on, then please hit me back and we can talk more or set something up. Or if you see me out and about in the world, I'm always IC, just stop my character and chat or interact or whatever.
10. Disclaimer: I know this type of thing isn't for everyone and there isn't a very large market for it. Please do not respond just to point out the obvious, thanks. ♥ RP Commitment: Longterm RP Style: Immersion Character Types: Any low or new adventurers Hours I can play: 7pm-10pm CDTMon-Thu, 8am-5pm CDT Fri, Sat, and Sun (you don't have to commit to all that time, any block of time of yours that would overlap with mine would be fine. Even if it's just an hour a day or a few a week.) Server: Balmung Update 6/22/14: Due to a promotion at work and my general rp character getting into some heavy action, my time for this project is now limited to mornings and early afternoons on Friday and Sunday only. My work schedule may change over the next two weeks so I'm not sure which days will be my permanent days off. The Breakdown: I'm looking for people who are possibly interested in a complete immersion style of role play. Or at least almost complete. I'm newer to this game, but from my understanding concessions might have to be made with the main story and how our characters fit into it. I suppose you can also call it dedicated immersion as we'd play these characters only when we are all on (some exceptions to this if our group is in town or whatever) so that no one would be left behind in our story as we progress through the game and the world IC, doing quests together as we go. I know sometimes we'd have to split up as some quests want you to go alone in instances, but overall I don't really enjoy playing MMOs by myself and would love for someone to play with in the style I most enjoy playing. We make new characters or use really low levels ones we already have and do everything IC and together. The reason I say we wouldn't play them while apart is so that no one gets ahead in the quests or story and then makes anyone else redo them, as that breaks the immersion part of the story. There would be a lot of role playing and walking (or running if it starts to rain on us.) We'd be playing adventurers learning how to do what it is we do and just moving through the world. This style of rp story would take a very long time, as we don't skip the journey, but consider that the meat of our story. Our story would be in the conflicts we find on our journey, how we overcome them, how they overcome us, how we are changed, and how each step takes us a bit closer to the heroes we will become. I have low lv characters in every city, but am also willing to make a brand new ones or start over one of my lowbies for anyone interested in this style of rp. Also if such dedication with a stranger makes you nervous, we can arrange a little rp session with our other characters to make sure our styles and whatever mesh well together. Like walk from one place to another and run an errand or pretend to run an errand, since there'd be a lot of both of that in what I'm proposing. If interested, we can talk further about characters, classes, and where we start our story.
