I will also add that the vast majority of the RP community is very likely to just say no to this. It's hard enough just getting a White Mage character to be accepted, much less a Padjal.

I've been through the WHM story twice and I never got that impression. I thought the general population knew that the Padjal were blessed by Elementals with White Magic. Also, you mention the horns yourself a bit later, and that's my major question. How is a perpetual child with horns going to masquerade as anything other than Padjal? It's -potentially- possible that less educated populations of Limsa and Ul'dah might not immediately know what she is, but most anyone in Gridania would know a Padjal when they see one.

That... well I'm just gonna say right now all three of those posts made me laugh. Someone's already talking with me about making this character, though! I'll keep it up until things are properly decided but it looks to be about resolved.

Oh, that's a really good point! I have two characters, a Keeper male and a Midlander Hyur. My Keeper has very low levels of aether, but uses it very well with chakra seals and precise/efficient manipulation, as I said above. My Hyur (Reina) is from an old gridanian family and naturally has vast reserves of aether that she can call upon. She's got psychological issues that generally keep her from doing so, but it's there. I'd forgotten all about that.

Yeah, it's good to be flexible and casual about it. Unless one is running a specific plotline that will be set off course by a certain overpowered ability, or unless something is truly absurd, I prefer to simply be chill. Mellow, even.

Hey there! I love making friends I have.... Reina, who is a spunky young hyur who likes to steal things, drink, and generally have fun. She's generally good at finding interest and creating mischief, but she's also a bit of a manipulative asshole. Sae, a very shy berserker who doesn't understand or trust people or society. He is very caring and passionate (and has no defined sexuality, though currently has a mate.) but is also a feral Keeper who doesn't always know how to deal with life. He's slow-to-warm-up, but also in need of interest and RP. I don't promise romance, it happens or it doesn't. Both my characters have romantic connections anyway, but I thought I'd mention that I'm rarely ok with ERPing. -shrugs-

One of my characters is a monk, and I went through the monk storyline. I suppose I take the class/job abilities very literal and apply them to RP. For instance, my monk character can disrupt aether, can concentrate his chakra into power 'seals' to unleash in aetheric forms that correspond with job abilities. I suppose I take liberties, but it seems to me that most monk aetheric manipulation is personal-ranged. Only usable via touch on others or in one's immediate (3-4 feet max?) vicinity before the aether loses it's concentrated form/purpose and disperses. So far people have not called me out on this, even though I've taken part in several large events with him.

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place. >.> I am looking for someone to play my character's older brother on Balmung. This is a bit of a complicated role as Reina has a bit of a complicated past. Her wiki is here,and you can read all about the first fifteen years of her like in the history section. It's the first two paragraphs, you'll want to read them. Below I shall try to compile all of the concrete points about her brother, but I have tried so far to make sure there's lots of room for interpretation. To avoid confusion,my character, Reina, was born Andrea. You can read her history to find out why she goes by Reina now. Her brother would know her as Andrea Thorne. His name is [youchoose] Thorne. I had his name Arael in a different game once, you can use that if you wish, or you can choose something else. He's the fourth son in an old gridanian family. Pretty much nobility, or at least on the cusp, and very wealthy. He's seven years older than Reina, which makes him about 30-31 right now. He's sweet, a little awkward, and chivalrous. He's very well educated and very proficient in sword-and-shield combat (those aren't exclusive, by the way. You can expand on that, have him know how to wield other weapons, magic, etc. those are just a few trademarks) He was Andrea's(Reina's) primary caretaker for five years, when she was ten to when she was fifteen. He, at this point,believes that she is dead. He serves as the'steward' of the family estate as his three older brother have taken other paths. However, his eldest brother is the true owner of the home. A few notes: Reina can't remember most of her past and doesn't know she has family. Upon starting to learn about her origins she'll probably be more than a bit of an ass. This brother character would be driven enough to get through that, but this is gonna be a rough brother-sister relationship. Big Bro understands a lot about who she is/was as a child and wants to give her a home. And probably change her back to who she used to be. We can hash that out. If here are way that we can change this without ruining the concept that'll make this more interesting for people, I'm open to suggestions. That is all I can think of right now. I leave off a lot of the details of Reina's history in the wiki cause I prefer some mystery when others RP with her, but should people be interested in playing this character, I will share more details and hash things out with them to make sure things work. I want to make sure that people are able to make this character a whole character instead of a plot-oriented NPC type.

Hey there! Reina here's a street thief with a lot of secrets, very much out for herself and doesn't generally let herself get caught up in more organized crime. She's a character who can fit all sorts of RP, and R'kraz would probably be the type of person she's seen around. Reina would be the perfect sort of person not to be turned off by the knowledge of what he does and to go toe to toe with any abrasiveness. I'll go ahead and say she's 'taken' romantically (that, meaning...taken but she's her. Not answering this as a matchmaking post, you know? Just for fun RP), just so that's out of the way. But I'm intrigued by the idea of more mature themes and criminal RP, and I'm trying to expand her connections. I'll probably try to contact you in game since I'm spotty on the forums.
