  1. I love it when I start over on a new server and it only takes a couple hours to get all my levels and money back. Nailed it.
  2. Update! I managed to snake a character onto Balmung, so I will most likely relocate to that server.
  3. It's a Star Wars meme. Which leads me to my next point: I love the smell of bacon in the morning.
  4. I love it when peecha chakka no wookie boonowa tweepi solo. Ho ho ho hooooo. Christian: 0 Atheists: 0 Jabba: 1
  5. I. Basic Info Characters: Alkeos Raelssun Primary character: ...Alkeos Raelssun Linkshells: None as of yet! Primary RP linkshell: ...None as of yet! II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Hmm, let's see... I'd like to think of myself as more of a medium-heavy RPer. I'm not overly serious about it, but I'm highly dedicated to it. When I'm in character, I'm -in character- but I always have that dividing line between taking things personally OOC and IC. Like if someone is insulting my character, -I'm- not going to be the one upset and vice versa. I've known a lot of people that have struggled with that concept. Views on RP combat and injuries: When it comes to injury or death or something permanent, it usually depends on the situation and how my characters will react. OOCly, I'm very open to those kinds of things. The last character I created and RP'd with was on Lotro, he ended up losing an arm in combat. Of course with ingame restrictions, his model still had the arm but I always emphasized his lack of one. What made more interesting was his lifestyle and job relied on having both arms. It exceedingly fun to watch as his whole life shifted upside down. I love that kind of thing. So when it comes to death, injury, all that, I'm fairly open as well as it's great story telling. Now as for combat, I prefer text-based. That being said, I hate Godmodding. The roll element is difficult to rely on as well. I dislike using duels to convey the point either because player skill =/= character skill. So as long as both parties are on the same page, willing to understand that injury or worse can occur, most of the time it isn't a problem. I, more often then not, end up roleplaying the losing side in combat since I refuse to Godmode my characters to the point where I just don't really care about the outcome of the combat anymore. Views on IC romance: This one is pretty brief. IC romance is awesome. I hate ERP however. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I'll allow this. Lol. Views on lore: In most other games I generally try to stick within lore as much as I can, but in this game I know nothing (Jon Snow) so I'm not all strict about it. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): Haven't really used these yet so... meh? I guess? Maybe? III. Other Info Country: USA! USA! USA! On a scale of 1-10, how do you rate USA?! I rate it 1776! Timezone: PST Contact info: Moogle mail? I think?
  6. Thanks for the welcome wishes and advice, both of you! I hope to see you around as well. Been browsing around the linkshells page to learn more. The only thing this place is missing is a fireplace, then it will be nice and cosy.
  7. Hey there everybody! I'm Meatbucket (not in game though!) I'm a noobie to this world, don't know a single thing about it! Anyway, I chose to come here because I've been searching for a new, refreshing MMO to play, and boy have I played a lot of them from the range of WoW to Perfect World, from Swtor to Lotro. I've RP'd on them all and much more, heh. Wanted to try something different, and play and immerse myself into something I know nothing of. Then I remembered this game, did some research on the RP communities and this site was listed everywhere. I'll be entirely honest; I wanted to join Balmung, but every time I tried to make a character, the server was blacked out, luckily Gilgamesh is the backup server for fresh starts! Yet you cater to both servers, lucky me...well, us. My character in game is named Alkeos Raelssun, still a low leveled idiot Lancer, but that changes in time. Massive paragraph aside, I hope to meet a few of you in game and see how all this works, lol. I appreciate how you all seem to be welcoming with open arms to new players though, so hopefully this game won't be as lonely as it is now! A bit about myself OOC: I'm a wine and beer specialist from SoCal, I love metal and hardcore music, I play a bunch of instruments, I'm a massive nerd (vidya games, comicbook collection, cosplay, can just about recite Lord of the Rings and Star Wars line by line, etc. etc.), I have a beard. That just about covers it. Oh, did I mention the beard? Alright, enough about me, what about you? Let's sit in a circle and talk about our feelings, it will be good for you, I promise. Ta ta for now.
