  1. Sigrid Jerriksdottir could use an invite.
  2. Sigrid Jerriksdottir on the list, please.
  3. Sigrid Jerriksdottir would like in, if possible.
  4. Oh dear, too many PWs to count. Mostly on NWN2 though. Myths of Atalan, Tales of Amn, Port of Shadows, Dragon Coast, Sigil... I played on Amia for awhile on NWN1, as well as NWN1 Sigil too. And, yes, the Grindstone was very fun and I was happy to be there. Sigrid will try to get farther next time.
  5. I. Basic Info Characters: Sigrid Jerriksdottir Linkshells: None yet. Primary RP linkshell: None yet. [*][*][*] II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Medium to heavy, depending on what's happening in the day and the style that my RP partners are going for. I'm flexible and adjustable. Views on RP combat and injuries: Coming from a bit of a DnD background, I am very fine with rolls being used in RP combat. It kind of turns most fights into coin tosses unless both parties agree on modifiers to be used and whatnot, but I do think it preferable to straight emoted-out fights, unless both parties absolutely trust each other to give fair resolutions and sense. Everyone dislikes losing and so some arbitration is needed. Outside of a duel system (And the 1v1 balance in every MMO is consistently -terrible-), rolls and accompanying emotes are the optimal way to RP out a fight. FF features a world where healing magic seems very common, but all the same I am fine with RPing out sensible injuries as they happen and until potential recovery. Views on IC romance: Sure, if it happens it happens, and what that entails depends on the comfort level of the partner. I'm fine with whatever. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): These usually develop through IC happenings and ties (Blood bonds, marriage, ect) so yeah, I'm fine with that. If someone wants to play a sibling or whatever of my character, then that'd be something to OOCly arrange if I like you or not. I'm generally not a fan of pregnancy RP and so don't expect Sigrid to get knocked up. Views on lore: Canon lore is what it is and I'll abide by it gladly and generally hope others do as well. But it's also not the most comprehensive set of lore, so fanon also is what it is and I'll do as I can to learn that and respect it. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): /say and /em are the primary means of IC interaction and I will make use of those most of the time. More private affairs can be conducted in /party or tells. I am fine with IC and OOC linkshells/FC chats if the conventions are properly delineated. [*][*][*][*][*][*] III. 6. Hello there, I transferred to this server today after learning that it was the game's RP hub, and that people here do content too, which corrected a misconception I had for awhile. So, about me, I've been playing FFXIV for about two months now, and before that I played WoW for about nine, on Moon Guard, the primary RP server there. That's also part of what attracted me to this server, the sense of friendliness and community that RP servers, official or unofficial, tend to foster. I raided Normal in MoP and a bit of Heroic in WoD for my WoW experience, but left due to a general feeling there wasn't much at all to do in WoD. My FF pursuits have been stonewalled at T5 so far, but I'm sure I'll break that sooner or later. I do hope to eventually find a Coil-doing static or FC while here. As for RP, I've RPed for many years now, at least five or six. My experience is primarily on Neverwinter Nights, a series of games that have a small but persistent community of hosted worlds where strict RP is enforced. I also RPed on Moon Guard on WoW, and semi-frequently play tabletop Dungeons and Dragons, among other PnP RPGs. I consider myself fairly adept at RP, and vary between medium and heavy depending on my OOC mood and goals for the day in-game, and the levels that whomever I'm RPing with operate at. I can adjust very easily to different RP styles and mannerisms. I learned of the RPC through Reddit and some Googling, really. I currently play Sigrid Jerriksdottir, a Highlander Hyur Warrior. Think the rather stereotypical large, red-headed northern barbarian lady and you're not too far off. She's a generally friendly and approachable sort, so I'm sure she'll have little trouble finding RP and friends here. I don't have too many specifics on plot details/the rest yet, but those come as a PC is played and RPed and I've not done that yet. For real life, I'm a student of mathematics and computer science, considering graduate studies after my undergrad in either of those. Most of my free time is taken up by gaming and the occasional reading (When the Internet is down). I do data analysis and composition work for my university's Housing department. By which I mean a lot of Reddit and some work. I'm looking forward to meeting you all both OOCly and ICly.
