Sacha Desyre

I haven't posted or wandered around here in some time, but since I am looking for something kinda specific I thought it might be best if I posted here too. I am currently looking for an a fiancee for my character Mister Tubal, actual name being Jaquemin Tubal. He an Elezen from Ishgard whose family is one of the lesser houses under the fortemps house and known for being known one of the stranger families amongst nobility. He loves to spend his time reading books on the void and studying the other side as a hobby. Despite his love of reading, he is incredibly ignorant of the world outside of Ishgard and it’s races. He would of gladly stayed within the walls of Ishgard, however certain events forced him away from home. An arranged marriage. Worried for their son, his parents had made plans for him to marry from another household since he had showed no signs of wanting even a significant other. Not liking this idea, Tubal has run away, donning the clothing of what he would think the lower classes would wear. Currently he spends his time around Ul’dah, bewildered by how different they are and happily spending his days reading the tomes at the thaumaturge guild. He has a habit of telling tall tales, especially when trying to cover up where he comes from to other people. He may at times come out as insensitive and an oddball, but likely because he doesn’t know how to handle certain situations or does things differently. Tubal is very eager to learn about his new surroundings though, finding that his being forced to leave the cold city a blessing. This is just a basic back story as I need more on a fiancee and I thought it would be fun to have an actual character rather than make my own up. Especially as I think it would be even more fun for them to get married eventually in game. The things to expect with Tubal are it would be an unrequited love (if you want to love him) and he would be somewhat uncomfortable. Also, sexual advances are something he can't read or rather, something he chooses not to notice as he has no sexual drive, but there is the possibility of it becoming romantic only, though he wouldn't be a great romantic either. I am pretty much open to whichever personality and gender also. It could be something that's very dark or something that could turn out to be very amusing with more serious motive. They don't even have to stay together later on. His parents only chose to arrange a marriage for him as they were concerned he wouldn't be able to take care of himself and want him to be looked after. Children can be adopted in their eyes also which is why I am not so fussed gender wise. The only thing that is a must is Ishgardian Nobility and preferably an Elezen. Hyur are fine too but Elezen are to be more likely. Thank you for reading all this and hopefully it wasn't too much of a waffle to read!

These ideas are definitely relevant to my interests indeed~ Thank you very much! It's also comforting to know that there's not really anything hard lined in the lore that I can get away with things such as these.

I did think the painting style was certainly further along then Medieval, but since fantasytends to be based around then I thought it would be worth looking into that era. So thank you for the other suggestions to look into! I shall have to study up on alchemy too then as that seems to be a likely way also for Sacha.

Jancis pretty much summed up my ideas of where I wanted to go with Sacha. Blood painting is something I was quite interested for him to do, so it would be fun to hire mercenaries or the like to capture creatures or perhaps aid him in taking him to where certain creatures are. I'm even playing with the idea, if some people wanted their images done by him, they should be willing to "donate". My guess is for canvas' skins/leather might also be an option? Good to know there are signs of artists out there other then bards, because I couldn't quite think if I had heard of any.

No doubt there certainly is (obviously by the paintings and such you can get for your house), but what I'm interested in is how about would I go with mediums and such? I had wanted to put a darker twist on it (inspired by a magic the gathering image) but it's also good just to everything anyway. My guess is I would look to medieval (or later) artists and what they used to paint then, but convert it to possible materials people in Eorzea use?

UK customs charges caused SE to ignore the concept of currency conversions? o.0 That doesn't really follow. Having had to price things for sale internationally in the past, it's pretty standard to input a USD price, a euro price, a pound price... wherever you intend to sell it. Disturbing to me that SE feels they can just ignore that. I dunno I just know it's an issue with games prices in the UK in general so the price is likely down to many factors rather then just basic currency conversions. It's not just a SE thing. I just said it was likely, but I believe they have yet to give people answers as to why it's that price. It's just my understanding from previous arguments before about the price conversions with other games. Might just all depend on what you are selling.

This is actually why I have suggested that I can't help a UK player or such even though I have an extra accidental US order of the physical CE and that I would instead just try to cancel my order. The last time I shipped something out of the US I spent $39.93 ish. Practically $40. I'm pretty sure shipping to the UK would cost even more. Hell my shipping, to myself, for overnight was just about $40. Pretty much this. Hell I've won FREE items from the US and had to pay a charge of £11 + before just to receive it. I've also had to pay £30 customs for a cosplay wig from Japan before. Most always, if you are receiving something from the US (or even Japan if you decide to get it from there) , a hefty customs charge is going to follow and whack that price up higher. It's probably why the game costs as much as it does in the EU store. It's just an issue with the UK games in general and not just a SE thing, or at least from what I have seen. =/

Don't forget that you will likely have to pay other prices for shipping and even hellish customs anyway. So it pretty much works out the same. The prices aren't favourable but importing can be just as expensive sometimes. ;o;

Hey! Thought it was about time I post one of these on here. At the moment I guess I am looking for a few things. The main thing being I would like a partner for Sacha so I might see where I actually want him to grow in FFXIV. I've still been quite shy about getting out there on FFXIV RP wise, but it's just a matter of me getting used to it and getting my foot in the door. I DID kind of know where I was going with him, but finding this forum had been both a curse and a blessing as I for some reason expected people to want to stick to the warrior of light route and use that for a base? I have no idea why I thought that. It was a pleasant surprise to see a darker side to the themes people have for their characters, though now it has thrown me off. Bleh, ANYWAY! I am looking for a male partner for him that could bloom into something more while he roams Eorzea to find out what he wants out of life. They would have to be quite a strong character to deal with his sometimes irrational states. He comes from a rich family from Ul'dah, and while he enjoys the finer side of life, he has a blood lust that sometimes takes control. Usually these moments would come out at his partner or (most preferably from his view) at beasts and such. There is a lot more information in my Wiki, which needs some editing and going over, but the basic info is there. Hyur, Elezen and other Miqo'te are certainly welcome. Lalafells would just get played with. Lol. I would also be interested in just friends too for darker play. And though he wouldn't be interested on a relationship level with a female (he distrusts them mainly because of his mother) it would be interesting if he did have a close friend who managed to get past his distrust barrier as like a duo? Mmhmm. I am also finding this an excuse on Balmung to get further in the playing. Haha. However, if anyone on the Moogle server would like to play with Sacha, I am very much open to dance all about Eorzea on there. I have also been looking at FCs and since the main RP ones seem quite specific to their theme and I don't know what to do with Sacha just yet in the big scheme of things, I haven't joined one. Yet. Sacha Desyre is the name of on OC of mine I don't get to play with anymore who was a french artist with quite a vibrant wardrobe. Since he was my main character and I thought there might be some RPers on the moogle server, I thought I would give him a shot there. It then didn't occur to me some time later that there was certain ways that Miqo'te are "supposed" to have their names, but that actually gave me reason to look into his past more on FFXIV rather then just kind of being there. So he has a Hyur Father and a Miqo'te Mother who disliked her coventional tribe ways. His actual father is a miqo'te however, so he is pure keeper but raised in a Hyur household. He's evolved from the OC he was based off, but am happy with the switch. Another of my characters from Balmung is Diamond Rose, who started out as a jokey male Roegadyn on Moogle. When Balmung is over, I thought of transfering him, but upon playing around with the females, I found a look I liked and Diamond Rose as a more serious character was born. Since she started off as a joke character and the hair/make up is white and pink, I named her after the My Little Pony figure I have with similar colouring. It was just by happy surprise that such a name isn't uncommon for a Roegadyn. So she is a mix between a Sea Wolf and a Hellsguard. ^^

Am a little sad there is no male version for the bunny outfit, but am so looking forward to Setzer's outfit and the Ul'dan items~

Had just started again on Balmung and was just trying to sale through without thinking too much on gear for my lancer. Was just sitting around by the quicksand waiting for dungeon to pop and noticed a player staring at me. She then disappeared and returned and gave me a poke. She'd gone out of her way to make me a full set of gear and said she would of quite happily made me a full set of accessories if I had to wait but I declined as I may not of been there by the time she got back. It was just enough that she made me the HQ gear that she did. Never had anyone do that for me before and I felt really guilty I couldn't do anything for her in return. Just said thank you a whole lot.

RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Light to medium is likely what I am at the moment due to unsure of how things are done on MMOs. Much to used to forums, so this is likely to change to medium to heavy. Views on RP combat and injuries: Not the greatest at combat, but always up for it. Either way, I'm good for this, but really it just needs to be discussed before hand wither it's relevant or not. Views on IC romance: Romance is certainly welcome, however it's kind of hard to get "close" to Sacha in a way of love. He is certainly frisky and open with people he knows, but it would take a lot to get onto a further level with him and requires that he be the center of the other character's world. He has many issues that he does not like to bring up and usually covers this with his vanity which is why he would "need" this person's attention. They would also likely need to put up with Sacha's flirting with others if he was friends that fit his taste as well as his sudden mood swings. Being firm is also a requirement to keep him in line, or at least that is what I would like for him. It likely all depends on the chemistry with other characters. I would also just like to point out that romance is not possible with female characters. While he is quite happy to be flirty with women he trusts, as a whole he does not find them attractive in that way. Lalafell are also not an option for partners in that manner, however Sacha does tend to trust them more and finds them to be "adorable". Mature RP is also welcome, or is pretty much required for Sacha as that is how he is for anything romantic. Of course open for discussion. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Certainly. I'm open for mixed pasts and the like as long as things are discussed before hand. I know Sacha's past and what happened to him, but there is enough open there for things to develop further either on my own or with other people. Views on lore: While I do my best to keep up with lore and know the story (I am up to date on my moogle account) I can have a tendency to forget myself or there may be possible gaps in what I know. Sacha is also one to not pay any attention to anything really unless it effects him or is "pretty". Not to mention his mother allowed for his step-father to give him a hyur name, so he is not conventional. But of course lore is good and is needed for a base, but don't expect me to be hardcore lore really. Just whatever suits the RP. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): /say is likely to be OOC for me unless I am confident enough to be IC or somewhere out of the way. Linkshells are great for IC and OOC. All depends on the linkshell I suppose. Shouts and such are most definitely OOC. A lot of it depends as I am not used to this format. [*] III.
