Thank yooooou all for the lovely welcome <3
-
Thanks, Maril ^^ I never knew this existed, I shoulda done some more digging.

Hello! I am a returning lalafell (or falafel if you're my predictive text), I played mostly around Spring last year on Balmung and despite leaving the game, the game never really left me. Some of my favourite arrpee has happened here, and I wanna try and capture it again. I have a new falafel planned, a book hunter/seller of sorts, something to help me generate lots of adventure and contacts. Are there any others out there? I'm very much EU based, so I'm looking for a time-friendly home as I can mostly only play around 8-12pm GMT. Merry Christmas/Holidays RPC!

Thanks! I'll wait and see. I'd do a screengrab of the server dropdown list on the transfer page to prove I'm not crazy but I'm too damn lazy
-
Hello! Sorry to resurrect a sleeping thread but I was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting onto Balmung recently? I've been trying to a character in with the server transfer on Mogstation but I can't even select a world if it's locked, Balmung doesn't even appear on the list! I've tried this several times now but I've had no luck.

Hello, resident crew member Zhyalyhe Loeshaksyn chiming in on this wonderful thread. I know what you were waiting for, screenshots. You will have to unfortunately wait further for those, for screenshot skills I do not have. Instead, I thought I'd show you a couple of interpretations of recent events. The Power of Jino'ya! Full Picture Zhyalyhe's hand painted recollection of the battle at the Salt Strand. Painted on cured whale skin, currently pinned up in the shop's lobby. --- Jino'ya Traore, healer extraordinaire saves the group from a volley of ranged attacks. The bandits were relentless down at the Salt Strand. Surely it would be the end of the Jackals without the protective barrier he summoned. Thankfully we all made it out alive, aside from a few cuts and bruises (read about the gory details!). Yukiki's Phantoms Full Picture Zhyalyhe's hand painted recollection of the floating bodies at the Burning Wall. Painted on cured whale skin, currently pinned up in the shop's basement. --- Is going to the Burning Wall ever a good idea? I'd have to answer with an enormous NO! You can read Stone Wall's report one post up. Here we have the moment Bert Brewforge would love to forget. The poor chap was shaking in his boots as the floating phantoms of Yukiki dashed towards him. He must'a thought his time was up. That's it for now. I'm sure the next post will be full of glorious screenshots. *nudges Kilid*

I, Zhyalyhe Loeshaksyn will sign up and represent the Roegadyn! Though I surely no chance next to Xivrez'to. This is the only image I have access to right now. D:

[EU] The first great Eorzean Wine and Dine Festival!
Yuvan replied to Tali's topic in Chronicled Events
This is soon! You should definitely look out for and be impressed by the manners and class of the Jackals this evening. Normally we speak and act like peasant creatures from the neighbouring swamp (for the most part, I'm looking at you, Inarah), but for tonight only, we will speak like true nobility! For thine warmest gratitude we desire'th! -
♪ Where the palm trees grow ♪ ♪ All along the shore ♪ ♪ Where the salty breezes blow ♪ ♪ There's always room for more ♪ Hint: It's Costa Del Sol I, Yoral Porral, expert on sea slime and pebbles joined Jackal & Hide only a few weeks ago now and I thought it was about time to post a little something here about my experience so far. Firstly, they're an incredibly friendly bunch, they welcomed me with open arms and supported my character concept from the get-go. Plus you wouldn't believe how hard working they are, but maybe that's because this is a newish guild and they haven't become horribly jaded yet (THAT'LL NEVER HAPPEN!). What struck me most is that they're very open to a full spectrum of different characters and are always really inclusive, which I think is a really special thing since this is in fact a sneaky sneaky cloak and dagger guild leave your morals at the door. I think there's room for everyone, even Stone Wall who has an IQ in the minus numbers, poor guy. Is that enough praise? No! They're also expert PvEers and have offered to help me every time I have gotten myself into a sticky situation. They helped me send the Lord of Crags back from whence he came and they didn't even break a sweat. The Lord of Crags, I say! A Primal! Now you know what sort of heroes you're dealing with. I would easily recommend this guild to anyone, but especially if you're in Europe and especially if you have little to no morals. ^^ Small note regarding J'inarah and J'kilid: They're super! They work tirelessly for this guild and provide so much opportunity for us role-players. They are a real boon to this community and Balmung as a whole. I'd advise you look them up! But they do come as a pair, urgh, couples. Extra extra note: You should join this guild if you want extra hawt screenshots. Seriously, J'kilid is the king of screenshots.

Thank you peeps for the lovely welcome! This one very happy, though is weary of Faye who is literally the devil. Eeeeep.

Oh dear. My Lalafell might end up becoming a eunuch. D: Thank you for this, Sounsyy the Tonberry Scholar! <3
-
Wow, that is incredible! Thank you, Sounsyy! <3 You've earned some reputation for being the foremost scholar on Eorzean rivers. I will visit them all, and probably die horribly by some terrible Lalafell-eating-fish, but that won't stop me. Sidenote: Your lore signature is brilliant. Totally going on a quest to find the Seahag. Where I will probably die horribly by some terrible Lalafell-eating-fish.
-
Thank you for the quick reply, you are very vigilant! ^^ One of the reasons I have resubbed (an hour before I read about the two week free period, curses!) is because I saw the Sunny Seaside Bar, which I see you are the architect of. Call it fate! I've never ventured as far as Costa del Sol, but I'm going to totally sneak into that place tonight and claim a sun lounger. >.> <.< *sneaks*

Hello! I'm new here, but I am an old Final Fantasy XI player (Midgardsormr) and XIV casual. I can't really call myself a proper player, I just log on and squirm about not really knowing which class to play, urgh hard choices. Anyway, I'm an EU role-player on Balmung, I enjoy light-hearted fun adventures and pretending I'm an expert crafter. My only character is Yoral Porral, my plans include him being a bookish Lalafell from Gridania studying herbalism to catching a nasty case of cabin fever on a trip to Limsa and becoming fixated on befriending seaweed and barnacles. A tale of woe and saltyness. Quick question to the people who know things: Where is the biggest and deepest river you can jump in, in all of Eorzea? I must visit it for my little Lalafell. Hope to see some of you in-game soon! <3
