Overwatch

Hey there! As the titles says I am looking for a group to get stuck into when I finally get FF booted up tomorrow once its finished downloading. Unfortunately I think mostly everyone I used to play with have moved on, and it was long enough ago that I am completely out of the loop with things. I'll probably need to relearn the lore and stuff as I go once again. In the past I have played a snotty human nobles child which ended pretty well and then Roe warrior that ended pretty much the same way with character deaths. As a result I have a blank slate as far as characters go I'd like to develop when I find somewhere with openings and maybe a few suggestions to what they think they are lacking. As it stands I'll probably play a bog standard human something. But we'll see! Looking forwards to hearing from you all! I hope the community is as busy as it was! Thanks!

Howdy folks! Looking for people that operate close to GMT timezones, or at least have people active during these times. As my shifts have changed I can no longer stay up all night sadly. Current character is seeking new connections/Free company. Preferably based around Mercenary work or crime. Excellent! I love the idea of both! After having a look through both your characters page and the Mischiefs Coven page. I believe that it would likely be somewhere that Elysa would certainly fit in, especially with the lack of a moral compass she seems to have developed. Hello everyone! This is my first character on FFXIV that I have decided to get into RP with. As such I decided its probably best to make some connections! As a side note. I am generally around in GMT times. However, as I work a real strange shift pattern chances are I will generally be around in American times too. I have plenty of experience RPing on various MMOs and through Pen and paper RPG games such as D&D. I am looking for a group that I can get myself in with that are noob friendly preferably. But alongside that I am more than happy to just develop a lot of friendships along the way with whomever pops up. I am not against conflict either and I am more than likely going to grate with some characters ICly! For character information. Hello there! I am brand new to FF in terms of game play and the role-playing side of things and could really do with a hand getting into it in terms of lore and back story. The best way for me to do this would be to hook-up with a group of people that wont mind having someone with them that's going to sit in the backseat during conversations and the like. Currently playing a Roegadyn hellsguard by the name of 'Dauntless Bulwark' and I am looking for a guild or what have you to hop into so I can find my feet. Probably going to play him as an amnesiac so I can be reasonable about knowing little. Would love to hear from a mercenary company or something similar if possible, but open to alternatives. Thanks people! Its going to be a fun one for me, since I am running on GMT time. So I will keep an eye out and see if I can get on. Failing that we shall see what playing on a regular server brings me. If I enjoy it enough I am sure I will be able to find some money somewhere.

Another quick question... Any idea when characters are going to allowed on Balmung... Or is there any particular way I can get onto the server at all?

Ahh thanks! Going to play it safe on there then, since the roleplaying itself isn't a problem but I am going to need a bit of time to learn the lore and so on. Mannerisms and customs are always the hardest to get.

One question would be server populations I guess. Its stated that both Gilgamesh and Balmung have Roleplayers on. But which is most heavily populated? I would prefer to get in with an active bunch as I tend to stray between medium and heavy roleplay. Thanks!

Hello! I am new to the game and the whole roleplay side of it and thought that I should probably present my sorry self to the community. I have spent a few years roleplaying on various other things such as Wow, GW2 and even EVE at one point and have finally set my sights on FFXIV.
