How to treat your lady:

I used a site to set up email alerts for when Balmung opened up. From what I can gather it's pretty frequent. 1pm GMT Mon-Fri without fail, looking at my inbox. I have to agree that it's pretty silly to disallow creating new characters on the server whenever you like if you already have one there, but with how often it's opening it hasn't caused me any issues. And simply saving the appearance for a character does speed the process up ten fold.

I actually noticed a pattern for Balmung opening, which made it much easier. Seems to be a case of it opening at 1pm GMT every day without fail. Stays open for about 30 minutes and then locks again.

Hi guys and gals! My fiance and I recently started playing again and spent quite a while trying to access Balmung. We managed it a couple of weeks ago and have been casually levelling characters there. We both spent many years RP'ing on forums and in World of Warcraft. We're looking to get involved with the community on Balmung. So! I basically just wanted to introduce myself, say hello, and ask where the best place to start off would be? Not looking for any easy routes into any FCs, since we're firm believers in RP'ing your way into these things, but a good location on Balmung to start off with would be a great help!
