If that one's already taken than *EDIT* Oh, major arcana... alright. Hmm. Let me get back to you on that one. Minor Arcana are fine too. I suggested one for Paradyme that was fine, at least.

Training In All Forms [Gridania; Non-Canon]
Paradyme replied to Paradyme's topic in Town Square (IC)
Paradyme looked over at the two that were about to spar and simply watched. His eyes were focused and intent on learning what it was to become a pugilist. It wasn't his field technically, but he'd learn it regardless. Any form of training is still something new to learn right? He didn't knock it until he tried it, even if having to go up against that big... Tall... Rather muscular highlander was going to ha- He didn't want to do this. He was terrified. Meanwhile, Jasper watched the lesson go on with glee! At least until his attention was turned to see the Roeg with her hand in the air. He smiled to her, "What's up miss?" He asked, awaiting the question. -
It all looks amazing Selene! Really, really good job on all of it.

Para makes all the Miqo'te panties drop, apparently. Love it, Deirdre. <3

Training In All Forms [Gridania; Non-Canon]
Paradyme replied to Paradyme's topic in Town Square (IC)
Once everyone had taken their seats, Jasper smiled to each one in the group. "So! As you all know, we're here to do some training for battle purposes. To protect Gridania, or otherwise. I know all of you are here for different sections, however it would be nice to get your input on each specific part of the training rather than stick to the parts that you would rather know." He began, rubbing his hands together nervously as he looked to Koh for a moment. "It's nice to see you've all gotten yourselves acquainted with each other. Knowing names of your fellow pupils allows you to bond with them! That is a good start. Now. We will start by seeing who's got skill in this discipline..." He answered, smiling as he was handed the clipboard with each of the names on it. Examining the list he smiled, "Okay, let's start with... Ken. Up you get. You get to fight Koh one-on-one first." He smiled, his gaze moving around the group to see who stood up. Paradyme, in the meanwhile watched as Jasper gave a bit more of an intro to the day and then looked to the seat next to him. It would seem that the young girl was still with him. He was shocked to see this, but he smiled to her nonetheless. He liked his personal bubble, but it would be nice to have a friend through all of this. A buddy, if you will. And they both seemed to be here for the black mage training, anyway. Once Jasper had asked for Ken to stand, eyes moved through the group to pick him out, it wouldn't be too hard. There were only a few there. But... To fight Kohrae... One-on-one? That was a bit far no? "Oh, don't hurt them Koh, just... Try to encourage them to think about how they attack." Jasper chimed in as he stepped off to the side. This wasn't his expertise. He wasn't built for physical aggression. He was certainly more of a ranger. His bow and arrow lingering in the corner somewhere. -
On the cover there are two letters. PC. A name that he was given. A large book that was handed to him from a friend that he was originally close to. They sadly drifted apart and this is all that was left for him to remember that friend by. A journal, which he writes in regularly. Thoughts, expectations, dreams and descriptions of adventures. Even history. Everything would be written down, here. Everything. Entry #1 Entry #2. Entry #3. The pages are smeared with blood, the ink has run slightly, as if he was crying. Entry #4. Entry #5. There are only a few simple words on this page.

Training In All Forms [Gridania; Non-Canon]

The way everyone filed in so happily and easily warmed Jasper's heart! They were all so eager, but so controlled. At least there was a smaller group, rather than a bigger one. He couldn't deal with larger groups. He once had to teach a class of thirty to forty Miqo'tes. He fainted multiple times under the pressure of his job. Poor guy. He did eventually get to teach the class the various lessons, but it took him longer than expected. He stood at the back of a rather spacious hall, waiting for them to file in after signing their name. "Please, please! Come and sit. We are almost ready to begin with your first class!" He announced, looking at each of the faces that had appeared. Most of them were rather young. Others, not so much. It was also nice to see the youngsters of this land wanting to step up and fend off the evils that haunt the land. Paradyme filtered into the room and looked to Jasper for a moment, then back at the group that was a part of this new class. He would remain silent until the class was underway and he was allowed to speak. It was only polite, after all! He crossed his legs and smoothed out his robes to let them appear more refined than they were. They were hand-me-downs from the place he used to live. They worked, though. A little ragged, but looked alright to the eye. And thus the wait for everyone to sit, was on. -
I would put Para down, if it isn't too late? ;;

Jasper simply looked around at the group and the newcomer, talking about weapons that they may or may not have brought. "It's quite alright, we won't be doing weapon training till later - And we give you the weapons for that. It's to regulate damage caused to our personal, ah..." The word was the only thing that came to mind at the time, "To our, uh, punchbag. My apologies for calling you something as dire as that, Kohrae." He looked down a moment, rubbing the back of his neck lightly. And then he looked back to the group. "If you'll step this way, we'll get you registered before the first class." He smiled warmly before stepping into the make-shift dojo of sorts. Paradyme had looked around at the group and smiled at each of the new additions. It was becoming quite a large group! And it would seem that the taller, well built highlander was also a 'test subject' in this wonderful exercise that was perceived by Jasper. At least it was all planned out. He bowed his head lightly before speaking his head, "Ah, I'm Paradyme. It's a pleasure to meet you all." He answered quietly and meekly. He certainly wasn't a brutish or brash. That much was certain. He then turned to see Jasper disappear inside. A blink, and he quickly ran up the steps and headed inside to register. He didn't want to be the last one in, certainly not. He was eager to learn! He wanted to know about all kinds of battle and how best to respond in different situations. He approached the desk with a clipboard on it, signed his name and headed towards the room that the training was to be held. "Please, take a seat. We'll begin shortly." Jasper spoke as each person signed their name at the desk, giving a slight nod to Koh as he stepped through. -
Training In All Forms [Gridania; Non-Canon]

Paradyme looked around the group that had formed and smiled brightly. There are plenty of people here! That was a good sign. It meant people had heard about it. And that excited him! All the learning that would be done! It was a nice thought. A thought that people wanted to stand up and protect Gridania if they were asked to do so. Two others had joined the three that were already there. Another hyur, a few years younger than himself, it seemed. And a male miqo'te that seemed to have ventured over from nearby. How he missed these people he wasn't sure. But he stood at the sounds of doors creaking open slowly, a male hyur stepping out, must have been in his late twenties or early thirties, he smiled to the small group, "Ah, are you all here for the training?" He asked, looking to each one individually. "Ah, yes. I am, at least." Paradyme piped up, smiling broadly. He was one of the first there. He was excited for this! "Black Mage training, specifically..." He answered on, looking to the others. "I am unsure what the others are here for, though." He answered, blinking. "Well. I'm Jasper. I'm leading this project and you're all welcome. We do each item in sections, so you'll get to try different styles of combat throughout the day. Starting with swordplay this morning." He announced, looking through the group. "I do hope that fits everyone's expectations?" He asked, the smile never fading from his face. -

Paradyme smiled warmly to the young lady that had approached them, turning to see the other that was there. How on earth did he miss him? He was one of the first here. He had already decided that he wanted to arrive here early so that he didn't miss anything. Any of the work or training or testing. He wanted to see -everything-! "Oh, uh... I don't know, actually." He answered, looking to the highlander with a bit of a blink. He was gruff looking. Not someone you'd wanna meet down a dark Ul'Dah alley. "Are you here for the training too?" He asked, curiously. "You... Don't seem like you need it..." He blinked, looking between the two of them that were there, now. Time was passing. And it was getting closer to the start of the training day. He turned back to the girl and continued, "Ah, good. Another that will be in my class, it seems." He finished, standing up straight and stretching. His back cracked lightly and he winced a little with a slight whimper of pain. It was certainly needed though, a satisfied look soon dawning on his face at the result of the soothing. -

The red haired young male looked to the other as she began her run up to him, a slight wince at the sight of her almost tripping up under her own velocity. That would have been problematic for a first day no? A live subject for white mage training already. Alas, he smiled to her meekly as she spoke her hellos and he bowed his head respectfully, his hat not so floppy as the other's. "Ah, hello. Are you here for the training, too?" He asked curiously. There was a large sign on the door. And there were even posters posted on boards all around Gridania. So it was a well advertised thing. "I'm here personally for the black mage training. I know they have other training things too..." He answered, leaning back against one of the posts that held the overhang up. "I take it by the hat and robes that you're here for the same, too?" He tilted his head a little. His well fitting clothes allowing him to cross his arms without much of a problem. There were sounds from inside the building, that of workers still setting up dummies and people still getting their lessons in order. It was a big thing for them! And thus, there was still time to chat and get to know people before the lessons began. -
Ah, uh... I-If it's not too much trouble, may I get in on this? ; I'm loving what you've done so far! http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Paradyme_Capellago

After Bahamut attacked, everyone wanted to know how to fight. Everyone that was able, at least. They did not want to be caught unawares by another surprise attack by some form of monster, plus people thought it would be a good idea to at least know some form of self defence against the Garleans, should they attack. Gridania. A tranquil place in the forest that had a vast amount of people who wanted to learn and train in arts that they once did not understand. One of these people was Paradyme. A young, red haired mage-in-training who wanted to excel himself in the magical arts. Black magics, to be more precise. He had always enjoyed hearing stories about wizards doing amazing and powerful things in vast and grand battles. And that's what he wanted to do. Images of massive flares of fire throw across a battlefield to thoughts of crackling thunder spreading over the structure of his body. It was something that always had him in awe and wonder. And now he was going to learn it. Basics first, but he was going to learn, nonetheless. He stood there outside of the building that was going to hold forms of training that day. Everyone was welcome to come and enroll. There was something for everyone. But of course, there would be age requirements. Adults were the only ones allowed to be trained. A sword in the hands of a child wouldn't prove good now, would it? As the thought cross his mind, Paradyme shook his head, turning his attention back to the clock nearby. It was almost opening time. He couldn't wait. Who else would show up?

I will read through things, and will find out a card for Paradyme and will throw it over in a PM asap!

Ah, hi! I, uh, was dragged here by Feta/Lenneth/whatevertheirnameishere. I'm patiently waiting for 2.0 now so I can be on equal footing to people to play and roleplay and everything. So, uhh, yeah. Hi.
