Aeri'ica

I moved to Faerie over a year ago, as I was informed of a somewhat role-play FC there. That ended in a bust. So far there are some lore focused individuals, but not much in the way of RP. Also the general population is very hostile to viewing cutscenes and anything lore oriented, even to the point where some of the more hard core end game FCs encourage members to skip cutscenes even when doing the solo main story parts. I witnessed someone shouting in Mor Dhona that she had a party in party finder for those who didn't mind watching the cutscenes in Paetrorium, and was bombarded with toxic comments regarding that. I feel kinda trapped there, due to funds being too low to transfer all my characters. So yea unless you can make a small close nit FC and find a few others who are into RP there you might look at moving when it is available.

Thanks, both of you, I really appreciate it. Your information helps provide a better understanding of the world of Role Play. I have written an extensive back story for Aeri'ica.I do plan on working on a more current lore based story but haven't had time. I plan on putting that story on a MMO page I made on my music website I will provide a link to it when I have the chance. Aeri'ica did end up in Limsa Lominsa at the very beginning of her story, but she was brought there in an unconscious state. Once she woke up and started to explore and ended up in Limsa, that is where she discovered the Arcanist guild and fell in love with it. I also have three other characters I created that are part of her backstory. When Heavensward comes out an Au Ra female will be the fourth and is a very important part of her backstory. Can't wait for the naming conventions to come out for this race.

I am brand new to this community. I have been interested in role play for a long time though I feel my approach to it and how I set up my main character, Aeri'ica Nabo, as possibly being outside of the role play conventions for FF!4? First I don't know what the accurate role play class I should have chosen for her is as I was not in a FC that came close to RP. I actually created a her class as arcanist, which was a part of the back story I created for her. I am thinking the obvious class would have been archer since as a keeper of the moon she would have come from the Black Shroud. Does Archaist fit though? My style of role play as I view any character I create as being outside of me, they are a fully independent being, not an avatar that represents myself. I view them as a character I met in a story. I appreciate any input, thanks!

Aeri'ica loves to walk, and since she has already walked everywhere she can, a new bridge leads to new places to walk. However she is very wary of Ishgard, she sides with the dragons and understands the peril there. But walking must be done so come hell or high-water the Ascian controlled in Ishgard aren't going to stop her!

I also plan on waiting on when the naming convention is released. I plan on creating a new Au Ra as she will, and already is a part of Aeri'ica's back story. Also the idea of using fantasia to change races is abhorrent to me since Aeri'ica was born a Moon Keeper and always will be.
