Oh wow, I RP'd on LOTRO for a while and I loved the community there. Seemed a lot more based in good story-telling and genuine love for the world and its lore, and a lot less "look how cool I am". That was a great community (for the most-part), but the game itself couldn't hold my interest.
If you're anything like the other great RPers I met in LOTRO, we'll get along really well. Welcome to the RPC! Feel free to shoot ideas at me if you're struggling with a character idea if you want, or you can just do some walk-up RP any time if you don't want to bounce ideas off a stranger. I won't be offended. I'd love to RP with you though.
Wow Uther, thanks for the welcome! You've definitely hit the nail on the head there, man. LOTROs community was by far the best i have ever seen in an MMO, RP or not. So friendly. Its because the game was all about lore, exploring and the adventure and it placed such little emphasis on loot. Its the perfect RP mmorpg really. I played lotro for agggggges. By far my fav mmo to date but the population has all but disappeared. My character on that was an old loremaster from Harad. So he had wrinkles, grey hair, black skin and spoke with a thick haradrim accent. Its going to be weird to now play a 19 year old, ginger haired cat man but hey, im nothing if not open to RP diversity
When i get on to Balmung i'll look you up man. That ok? I'll even buy you a drink at the tavern in Ul Dah
