Hey, I'm not sure if this thread is allowed here, but technically I am back to being a total novice... My apologies if it does not fit here. I am Schuriscloa, and I joined in 2015 looking to see if anyone would join my roleplay linkshell. While there were a few who joined, I found a small community on tumblr. Due to everyone's level story-wise, I left the fandom in March 2016 and just came back to it. I transferred to Gilgamesh in hopes of finding like-minded folks. I re-opened my account here to do the same. You can find me as Aori Meiouno and I will answer to "Want a sandwich?" as per my new roleplay blog on tumblr, skyward-venturer2. Hello there! I'm writing this while the all-world maintenance is going on. My character is Aori Meiouno and the link shell can be found on the Siren server. I left a blog post on Lodestone with ramblings of a roleplay on Siren. While the linkshell has just started, we are looking for members and moderators who can oversee various plot lines (as I have only gained lvl 30 in my first class) and possible pvp fights. As a result, most of the scenarios will be based upon the A Realm Reborn arc of the Final Fantasy XIV story. Should we gain moderators who have unlocked Heavensward, this can open a door for veteran players to join. While the linkshell will primarily be used to unify members of the Siren server who wish to roleplay but gave up on being able to do so on Gilgamesh or Balmung due to character restrictions, it will be used for major events. In general, I feel the Siren server is an easy-going server and I wish to keep that atmosphere. So, for those of you who are Siren and are looking for roleplay, please do not transfer your character just yet! Let's build an open-world roleplay together of our own on Siren. If you're interested in joining us, please give a /tell to my character Aori Meiouno, comment on my blog post on Lodestone, or private message me here. Your can also send me an ask to my tumblr for Aori (skyward-adventurer). Although, my tumblr's version of Aori and the forums/game rp will be a little different, it's another way to contact when there's maintenance or I'm offline ;D. I'll send you an invite once I can go online. Anyone from the other servers are free to join if they have alts on the Siren server. But please be mindful of the easy-going atmosphere of the Siren server.

Hey guys! I'm currently leveling all my classes to level 15/16 other than my main class (Gladiator) for my main on Siren, and I'm running into a number or problems with Rogue. I'm excited about the Job that Rogue branches off into, but the start up is pretty shaky. It reminds me of Rikku, having more HP but significantly less than the other classes and significantly low MP. For those of you who have made it to ninja, what are your thoughts on Rogue? Were the leves hard as it is currently for me? Was there a different region in order to take part in the Levequests to up your character's level? Any pointers? I'm curious.

I don't want to annoy the non-roleplayers. Views on RP combat and injuries: I'm perfectly fine with combat and injuries so long as my characters don't die unless I want them to. But mostly chemistry. I'm okay with a character that hits on my character just let's plan it out so I don't think you're pushing your character onto mine. I am also vastly under-leveled since I just started on the Gilgamesh server so there will be lots and lots of questions. I am also new to the Final Fantasy XIV's lore and storyline and I don't want to get much wrong. I'm usually open to novella roleplaying of a sort on the forums. Views on RP combat and injuries: As long as we find something fair in terms of RP combat and injuries like rolling a die, we're good to go. I don't have many triggers. Torture is fine as long as enough of it is planned out in advance. You may not kill my character unless I agree to it and/or I ask for it. Views on IC romance: As long as there is chemistry and development, it's my absolute weak spot. Though, as I'm new, my characters will most likely be looking for more platonic relationships thus far. I generally keep my characters pansexual in case they fall for someone of the same sex or someone who is nonbinary. Because you're questing for more gear? Possibly Ul'dah is currently overrun with roleplayers?

I only joined the Faerie server cause there's absolutely no one on the Mateus server. I'm trying to move my characters to the Balmung/Gilgamesh servers, but it's pretty crazy. Character transfer is the only option viable. But I'm also trying to get some group interaction on Siren if character transfers don't work out.

@Faye: Hello, and nice to meet you too! @Sounsyy: That's fine, a good number of my characters started in Gladiator. Ostara, on Balmung is a Marauder. On Cordelia (Gladiator), in the Siren server, despite her lady-like mannerisms she wants to learn every martial art. : ) Ciara (Gladiator) and Jocelyn who are on Siren as well, are very violent Eles, but Ciara is the quieter of the two. Jocelyn is just brazen for a range fighter (archer). Anthea's pretty congenial on Siren(Pugilist), so she'd make friends with everyone : >! But yes, I do have all sorts of questions and I will try to out people on Siren who roleplay : )!

I've got a character on Balmung just recently (Ostara Argent) and yes it's extremely hard, I have to wake up early just to get one character on a crowded server. And yes there isn't much roleplaying on Siren (you'll have to squint really hard), but I have four characters on there and there's a linkshell that Tyoli made (he made a thread urging people to rp on Siren a while ago). Hopefully with the fb group I made, I can give more awareness to the smaller servers' rp communities. It might spread the roleplay. But what I heard, people are suggesting that Siren will follow after Gilgamesh and Balmung footsteps. I'm not sure how, since I haven't caught other roleplay friendly link-shells. I may move my Mateus characters to Balmung, eventually.

Hey guys! :bouncy: I've started playing Final Fantasy back in January and had been on and off it because of school, but I'm back in full swing and ready for the summer. So, I should be fairly more active. Though, probably not as often as I hope when school starts, so it's totally best if I made an account on here : ). I'm from the Siren server and while there's a few of us, pretty sure there's more of us who feel the server should be a little more open about roleplay : )! I have a few characters on Mateus, and one on each Zalera and Balmung. Though, I'm not really sure how we go about the multiple characters. So, I'll have to look around further and check to see if duplicate accounts are accepted for less confusion. But, I sorta doubt that. Hmmm... I'm still very much a newbie/rookie at the game, so I'm still pretty dependent on other people's help on answering questions about the game. As well as, giving me pointers about how to play my jobs/classes properly. :dazed: And a bit about the realm (so many of my characters have mere snippets of their memories before the Calamity.) I tried RPing on Ragarok Online, a couple of private servers and such because of a friend since I wanted to have more opportunities to roleplay. However, that fizzled out along with her promises of helping me get used to the real-time roleplaying on MMOs, as she's currently with an exclusive private server. ): So, I started branching out towards other games like Maple Story for a time, Lineage, and one Aeria game. But a friend of mine on tumblr has been on FFXIV, so I've followed suit and gotten an account with SE. : ) I have been text/novella roleplaying since I was 12/13 and I am currently in my mid twenties. I also roleplay on tumblr, but there's not many people from the Siren because Balmung is one of the only (?) servers for roleplay. So, my goal is to branch those options out to the other servers. I made a group on facebook as a database for the Western release of FFXIV for anyone who roelplays on the MMO. I'm still setting it up as it needs a cover and icon.
