  4. Haha! I am the first who went with "other" Rhashi hasn't decided yet and at this point I think "scared" would fit best.
  5. But who in his right mind would possibly kill such a beauty? On the other hand....hmmmmm Thundermelons....
  6. Rhashi strongly believes in Oschon. He follows the path of the wanderer for many years now and that believe got even stronger and more important in his life with the threat of Dalamuds fall.
  7. Away for one day and already 2 new great pics to view. Great job Gerik! Keep up the good work!
  8. Great job! I like it (totally wasn't forced to post this)
  9. Uhmmm didn't peek I swear Looks like it is a little more common than I thought, but that should just makes it easier to work with it
  10. I thought about Rhashi's family situation again. Especially about his father and had an idea. Stop me if it's stupid His father was probably a traveling keeper who stopped by the village for a very short time only. A single night, maybe a week and left again. It might be possible that said father is still out there somewhere and/or fathered a few more children. So if anyone wants to play that, I am open for ideas. I think it would be interesting to rp to meet his father someday or some halfsisters and brothers. If that fits into any of your backgrounds then just contact me and we could make something out of it.
  11. ((This part is Rhashi's impression of the Battle of Cartenau - Prepare for drama)) The eleventh hour He was late. While he hurried down the slope he could already see the raging battle between the empire and the allied forces. The clanging from metal on metal, hundreds of battleshouts, barked orders, insults and the screams of pain reached his ears which made him go even faster. He had to catch his breath when he finally reached the army. He went straight to the first small camp where a lot of wounded were piling up. A few white mages already attended to their needs and it looked like they could handle it for now. A heavy armoured Elezen made his way towards the camp carrying his lifeless comrade in his arms. There was nothing the mages could do for her any more. She was gone but he refused to accept it. Some bystanders had to seize him and the mages had to put him to sleep to prevent him from hurting anyone in his outbreak of blind rage. "I am not needed here...move on stupid!" His hand was shaking. This wasn't a place for him. The battle was horrifying with so many gravely injuread and/or dead. Dalamud looming over them bigger as ever before engulfing the whole plateau in a red twilight. The land itself screaming in pain from battles long past and maybe for the pain yet to come. He could feel the sadness and agony. He gathered his strenght and straigthened up, burrying all distracting feelings deeply inside him - for now - and continued his way to the front lines. He wanted to help anyone in need of healing and to find his friends who he had lost on his way there. He soon realized that it would be near impossible to find anyone in this chaos but he could help at least. He stopped by every injured he found and used his cure spells. He handed out some potions he brought to those who were running to the front and meet the enemy. His eyes widenend and he froze in place for a second when he saw an abandoned Lalafell lying on the ground. He wore the colours of the adders and was gravely wounded. "No! Don't you dare dying on me now!" He ran for it, kneeled down beside him and instantly started to heal him to pull him back from the brink of death. He was nearly done when someone shouted and him. He looked around and threw himself backwards when he saw an enemy charging right at him. But he was too slow. His stoneskin saved his live but his attacker still managed to bring him down. Now he was standing over him and raised his spear for the deathblow. Rhashi paniced and threw the first spell at him that came to his mind - Aero. It ripped through his armour and send him flying away from him crashing down hard on his back. Rhashi got up again and saw the lifeless body of the Garlean soldier. He was trembling. He never killed anyone before and his opponent didn't look much older than himself. The realisation came as a shock to him. "I didn't want to hurt anyone. But I had no choice, right? And how did I get so close to the front without realising it? I hope the others are well. Damn, no!" He just remembered the Lalafell again and huried back to him. But it was already too late. He interrupted his healing when he tried to evade the attack. "I should have been faster. I should have seen that Garlean earlier.....what am I good for if I can't even do this right? I have to go on!" He was about to stand up as he got startled by an earshaking noise and got swiped of his feet again when a huge glowing sword-shaped object crashed down close by. When he stood up again he saw that anyone close to the crash was also down or just about to stand up. The battle had stopped entirely. And everyone was looking up. The Moon, Dalamud, Meteor, whatever it was - was now cracking open like an egg. He couldn't believe what he saw then. A gigantic dragon emerged and loomed on top of what was left of the shell. He couldn't avert his eyes. He was unable to do anything at all. The next thing he knew was fire raining down everywhere while the dragon leaped into the air. Rhashi looked around fearfully, desperately searching for any familiar face. Some, like him where just standing still but most of the others just ran. Garlean and Eorzean fronts mashed up as the majority just wanted to get away and flee. "The destruction from Meteor would have been bad...but this is just worse." He still stood on the same spot. There wasn't a save place anyway and so he ducked down, reached for his book and started to hastily write down the recent events. He just finished it up when one of Bahamuths flares came down close. The explosion shattered his protective spells in an instant and the shockwave blew him away. He crashed down hard and screamed in pain. He was bleeding from scratches and cuts all over his body. His clothes were singend and torn. Another wave of pain swept over him when he tried to get up and move his left arm. He looked around to find out where he was but it was hopeless. Fire was everywhere around him and still rained down from above. Everyone around had already fled or was dead on the ground or close to it. He desperately tried to heal himself but there wasn't any strenght left in him. His whole body was in pain but it got suddenly washed away. He felt calm and at peace and could see a bright blue light. "Is this how it feels to die? No...that's not right...there is something else....the gods?" He looked up and could get a glimpse of what was happening in the sky above him. Bahamuth was about to get trapped once again. "They have answered our call! They will..." all his hope was lost instantly when the new shell burst and the blue calming light was banished by the flames that engulfed the whole plain once again. The dragon was charging up his final attack to kill anyone in the whole area with one brutal strike. "No! What....did they abandon us? Was it all for naught? I don't want to die here....alone..." He struggled to get up but couldn't move any more. All his strenght was gone and his whole body was trembling. He closed his eyes and curled himself up. Then, everything turned white...
  12. I had to go with other. Rhashi grew up in Gridania but he swore to protect Eorzea which doesn't necessarily side him with the city states.
  13. You know that was totally intentional.....naahh that's just silly me again Actually I am glad that little typos are the only things I seem to have gotten wrong
  14. It is corrected now. Thanks again for pointing it out. That typo was kinda awkward...let's pretend it never happend?
  15. Welcome! MOAAARR EU PLayers YaY
  16. I went for poor. You won't find my character begging on the streets but he doesn't earn or own much and has enough to keep him well enough.
  17. I was pretty sure I had that covered but you kinda got me there. Looks like I totally forgot to mention that He is a Keeper of the Moon - going to add that now...silly me
  18. Finally I get to post some of my thoughts and may get the thread on the rails again. The official information we got so far is very sparse so please don't get mad at me if I am completely wrong  That may be overthinking it a little. We are in a Fantasy World and that genetiv problem might not even exist or apply to it. It might also be possible that the children of those harems be it males or females have to leave the clan when they become of age and find themselves a new one. The seekers nuhn probably have a lot of responsibilitys and uhm duties. So I would think that those won't travel too much and stay with their clan most of their time. The males who still have to prove themselves are more likely to choose the adventuring path. As I understand it from the naming lore the keepers don't really have nuhn and their culture is a lot more based on the normal family. I think a clanleader couldn't afford the "distraction" of a huge harem and still be able to lead. Maybe he chooses his females more carefully and keep their numbers quite low. I didn't find any infos about that but I think not. The cultures are split and we can only guess about how it happened but there doesn't need to be any tension. They may just respect each other for what they became. I strongly think so. Fighting and Hunting skills are highly valued and should be deeply entwined into their culture. They need to have some kind of festival where the males can prove themselves apart from occasional challenges. The artstyle from what CassandraJean showed us already goes into the right direction. I really like what I have seen so far. May be a little less curves and more nooks and edges.
  19. Hello and welcome! Nice to see more from EU finding their way to this place
  20. ((This thread is for all storys I write for Rhashi and will tell more about his background and thoughts. I know that my english could be a lot better and my writing could always need improvement too so feel free to contact me via pm for constructive criticism or other comments.)) ((The following text is at the time before the massive battle of the Allied Eorzean forces and the Empire in Mor Dhona. I am currently writing on Rhashi's view of the battle itself so that will probably follow up in the next few days/weeks)) The last farewell He didn't sleep at all within the last 24 hours. Everything became so hectic and how should anyone find sleep with the impending doom over their heads? He just came back home after he stashed his backpack at a hopefully save place where it would prevail and afterwards be found again. Within was nearly all of his work. His collection of history and lore of Eorzea, paintings of the land and the beauty of the city states and it's people, writings about the Galean invasion, the Beast Tribes, the Primals and the thread from Dalamud. The only thing from it he was carrying now was a small empty book, it's cover was bristled with crystals that eminated a faint glow. That would be the final chapter of his work. He sighed and put it into a small bag when the door to his room suddenly burst open. "I WON'T ALLOW YOU TO LEAVE!" She was furious. The kind of rage a mother can fall into when she is protecting her child. "You will join us in the sanctuary with all the others! You mustn't go! You are everything I have left!" He turned arround slowly with his head hanging. It took him over a minute to finally meet her eyes. His voice was weak and close to a whisper but he was still calm at least. "I.....I have to go. I have to aid our forces, I need to know what happens and record it. And I made a promise to someone....you always taught me to keep my promises." She trembled and he feared that she would shout at him again but she sank down and was on the verge of tears. "Then promise me to come back!" He dropped his gaze, closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "I...no...I can't. We don't even know if our chances here are any better. We don't know if anyone survives this. But I can promise you to try everything I can that Eorzea can bloom once again after this is over." She was crying now but she took a step aside to let him pass. "That is not enough for me Rhashi!" Her voice was staggering and it was hard to understand her. He wanted to comfort her and made a quick step forward but came to a sudden stop. His lips were trembling now. He just couldn't bear it any longer. "Farewell mom!" He blubbered out and ran without looking back. He didn't want to do it that way but he couldn't stop himself. He didn't suppress his tears any longer and could hardly see but his feet knew the path perfectly and before long he was standing in front of Gridanias Gates. He leaned heavily on a nearby tree to catch his breath and calm himself down again. A few minutes later he was on his way to Mor Dhona where the allied forces would make their last stand.
  21. Character Race: Miqo'te Keeper of the Moon Class: Conjurer / White Mage Given Name: Rhashi Nefhys Pronunciation: Ra-shi Nef-his Rhashi is a Keeper of the Moon in his early twentys. He grew up in a secluded small settlement in the black shroud and was sought out by the conjurers shortly after the battle of Silvertear Skies. He moved with them to Gridania and learned their workings of magic. With the Garleans campaign to call down Meteor he became more and more restless and started to wander far beyond the borders of the black shroud. Appearance Height: 5 fulms, 8 ilms. Body: Rashi is quite small and slender to a point where some might think he is underfed. Physical strenght is certainly not his thing but he balances that with his agility and speed though he rarely shows that. His skin has dark greyish color. While in the sunlight a it has a barely noticeable blue shine. Hair/Eyes: Fine smooth blue hair. His eyes are crystal blue and sharp though there is often sadness in them. Clothing: He is quite impatient of clothing and style so the sticks to ordinary and practical stuff that lets him merge with the crowd. He usually sticks to long traveling robes. Marks: In contrast to the rest of his body, the tip of is tail is pale white. Misc: While Dalamud descended he could usually be seen carrying a huge heavy looking backpack and lots of scrollcases Behavior Rhashi usually acts quiet and calm and prefers to stay for himself. He is very shy around strangers and it takes a lot of time fro him before he starts trusting others and become less reserved. He is very intelligent and observant, trying to absorb everything he sees. He also likes his studies and is always eager to learn more. He can spent lots of hours/days in a libary without getting bored. Quirks His voice dies away whenever he is with groups Socially awkward A little naive Nosy Tendencies Likes Eorzea Peace and Calmness Nature Being alone Dislikes Primals Intrusive, pushy people Beast tribes Violence Hobbies/Talents Painting White Magic Gathering lore Observing Relationships Family Father: He has no memories of him other than that he left when he was very young. Mother: Shaya Nefhys - He has a close relationship to her. Rumour Mill Common Rumours (Easily overheard): “That child gave me the creeps, he was often watching me closely at my work. Had to chase him away to be able to concentrate.” — Village Blacksmith “He never wanted to play with us after our lessons” — Random girl “He often seemed very sad when he thought noone was looking at him." - Villager Moderate Rumours (Moderately difficult to overhear): “He was an excellent student, always eager to learn more.” — Gridanian Conjurer “Rhashi Nefhys? What a strange kid, he had a mental breakdown after the battle of Silvertear Skies. Have rarely seen him around after that, 's probably for the better..." — Concerned Villager Miscellaneous Special Power: Rhashi does NOT possess the power of the echo as I found it a little too powerfull for my taste and near impossible to use in rp. But he got something else instead being blessing and curse at the same time. He has an emotional connection to the land and can feel when something is amiss with the flow of aether or when the planet is suffering. He has no control over it and can't always tell that the feelings aren't his own. OOC Notes Character status is pre ARR. Rhashi will return to Eorzea from the battle of Cartenau Flats after he got frozen in time. I will post more about him after the launch when we got more info from SE.
  22. I. Basic Info Characters:Rhashi Nefhys Primary character:Rhashi Nefhys Linkshells:none yet Primary RP linkshell:none yet II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): I would say I am a med-heavy rper though I am not always IC while running around on the server. I prefer Rping over pretty much anything else so I am always happy to switch to RP-Mode as soon as I get the opportunity. Besides RP I try to enjoy all aspects of the game, especially any group content up to endamge raiding and the occasional PvP. Views on RP combat and injuries: For me engine combat != rp combat. Magic, doesn't mend everything instantly and noone really dies as long as the player doesn't want his character to die. If fighting occurs in rp then I prefer to decide for myself if my character get's injured and how severely or at least get asked via private chat before anyone decides for me. I also try to avoid any form of PvP RP Combat as it often causes more problems than it solves. Duels via engine are just plainly unfair as they are all about level, gear and playerskill(not characterskill) and emotecombat needs someone willing to loose which often just doesn't happen. Views on IC romance: Yeah, why not? I'm open minded about it. It is important to draw a line between IC and OOC romance and I am definitely not seeking the latter and the only character I have will probably not be seeking actively too so that kinda limits any possible options. I would also prefer not doing any of that with complete strangers. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I did some small family play in the past and it has been fun. For FF14 all family is currently NPC only. Close friendships and ties that form in RP are a great way to advance a character and I am really looking forward to see more of those. Views on lore: I do respect the given lore of any game though it wasn't easy to get everything right for FF14 as I found that the information is scattered and on some topics pretty thin. So I hope I got it right by now. The lore can be bend to some degrees but I wouldn't want to rp with a human vampire deathknight or someone who claims to be the human form of a primal etc. I also try to ingore most parts of the quests I go through for my personal story. We can't have all fought that one special enemy and personally killed him. I don't think anyone should persume to do otherwise. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): I usually do most of my rp in /say as it is easy for others to drop in or eavesdrop on a conversation. /linkshell can be OOC or IC as long as you have a way to communicate oocly with your guildies as I wouldn't want to miss that.
