Okay, this information is probably available somewhere on these forums, but I'm struggling to find it. If it's obvious, and I missed it, I apologise for this post if it seems kinda spammy. I'm playing on Balmung, I'm brand shiny new, and am just about coming to grips with where the main RP hot spots are. My question is if the housing districts are used at all for open world RP, and if so, which ones? I've noticed plenty of FCs use their housing as headquarters (which is awesome), but yeah, I'm curious as to if the streets of certain wards are classed as like... RP neighbourhoods? Thanks in advance!

I'm just gonna stick this reply here, and if you get around to drawing Jash, then that would be awesome! So this official brass Blade uniform (closest to the NPCS) and I'm not sure who made it: The differences I use fro the Lily blades (Just to differentiate slightly, the Brass Blades are big, ok!) Tower Shield instead of Buckler Plundered Gauntlets dyed Rust Red instead of Mittens Any Falchion instead of the Scimitar. You're a star! Thank you so much! Edit: Because I'm super curious about your Linkshell/FC, and how Brass Blade RP goes down on Balmung, do you offer a place for non-GLA/MAR classes in the Lily? With their own take on the uniform, or something? There are only two of us in the Linkshell T_T, it's Osric and myself. As for special uniforms, its clear from the lore that Brass Blades use many different weapons and have different uniforms. For example the pair of Sunseeker pugilists that polish his rod server Captain longhaft in Highbridge wear subligars and strappy boots instead of the mail and greaves. Well, I am still eager. It's a start, if you're still wanting to draw people in! And ayee, I didn't think of them. Awesome!

I've been trying to put a Brass Blade uniform together (replicating the NPCs) and I am struggling for reals. Also, I am still super eager to meet up with you guys and become a Lily ok. <3

Hello, Hydaelyn Roleplayers! I very (very, very) recently moved to Balmung, and am really overhelmed at the amount of open-world RP and how easy it is to interact with everyone. It really is super awesome. However! I'm also after some more organised RP, an FC or linkshell or even just a frequent group of people. I have looked at the linkshell hall, of course, but I figured it doesn't account for everything out there and that this post would give me a better idea of who/what is active at the moment! Jash is a Miqo'te gladiator looking for work in and around Ul'dah. The plan I'm set on really is having her be a more moral member of the Brass Blades, but I don't know how possible it would be to do that without being a lone wolf. Brass Blade RP come at me! Seeing as I'm new to FF RP, I really wanted to immerse myself in an already existing community, so I'm pretty flexible with what I can do with her. Thanks in advance for all your replies/recommendations! I apologise if there is something perfect for me in the linkshell hall that I should have addressed this at, but I did kinda want to get the opinions of the wider community before diving in to something.

Greetings, Hydaelyn Roleplayers! I hate introductory posts because I never know what to say, but I'm eager to start meeting people and roleplaying here so the sacrifice is well worth it. I am completely and utterly new to FFXIV roleplay, I'm yet to even start roleplaying on the game ever. This post is my first out reach! However, I have been roleplaying on MMO's since I can remember, having recently left my subscription on World of Warcraft to dwindle. I've always been a fan of the FF franchise though, so when I heard that their latest online edition had a thriving roleplay community I was eager to check it out. I guess my main question to you all is, where do I start? I've noticed that random, open world roleplay seems to be rarer to come by (which is probably the main difference I've noticed from my experiences with WoW) and knowing how to approach linkshells and/or free companies is honestly quite daunting. I'm playing on Gilgamesh, maining a Seeker of the Sun named J'rashien Qhet, and I'm itching to start developing her... and probably more than a handful of alts I inevitably get attached to. I'll probably have a thousand more questions as I start really delving in to the forums, so I hope you'll bare with me! I look forward to meeting you all!
