Hey, I've stalked and lurked around that I feel like I have a pretty good grasp and won't annoy too many people with my all around newness to RPing. I feel about qualified enough that I can join an FC and be able to give more than take. At the moment I have a Level 36 White mage and Dragoon, (I may pick up more classes and jobs as I go one), and have reached mid level experience in several crafting and gathering jobs. Although I'm only mid level I don't mind being asked to help out lower level players but would also like if the FC had an endgame focus as well. If I was a chooser and not a beggar, I'd like to find a medium to heavy RP FC that stay with the story lore with some Ishgard themes but that's not all too important. I'd prefer it to be just as gameplay centered as it is RP with endgame content (for whenever I reach that level). However I realise we call can't have everything we want, so I don't mind joining an FC that doesn't have everything I'm looking for. I haven't finished the main story so some people could see that as a hindrance in terms of spoilers but I don't mind being spoiled. Besides that, I am also looking for players on similar level as me (level 36, just beat Titan) so we can be on the same roleplay progression in terms of the main story. I: Characters: Cloche Northward (Primary and only character for now) Linkshells: None as of yet. (Throw out a suggestion here if you think I could fit in well with one!) II RP Style: Amount: Light to Heavy. Light if I'm out on my own in the field killing or gathering stuff. Heavy when I'm in a town or part of a group. I get the basics of godmodding, however my character hasn't currently found one set job to stick with (mostly stick with dragoon or healer). I'm not saying she's a genius at everything she does, but she does try her best at it (which still doesn't mean much). If you think that trying a hand at playing every class is too OP, I''m more than willing to listen to your advice and how you think the best way to work with it. I guess I should also note that I will break character if I'm in a dungeon with people I just found over the duty finder (as they're there to run a dungeon not play a story) because I'd rather not force people I don't know into RP if they're not there for that. Hope that doesn't bother anyone. View on Injury/Death: If there's going to be a big fight where someone is left limping, I'd like to plan it out a bit before hand. I have no plans to kill off my character so : /, however I'm fine with pushing my character to the point of near death (I have a lot of things outside of FF14 and sometimes it's a good idea to take a forced break). IC Romance: This would be a new first for me, I guess I'd love to try it out to see where it goes, however I don't ever want this to cross over in real life. I'm not sure if that even needs to be stated, but I just wanted to say it anyway. I would rather let things flow naturally than pre-plan anything though. ERP, I have no idea on how to handle this, so I'm going to go with a "no" on that. Non-Rom Family: I'm down for any and all! I made a character so I could make friends or create relationships with anyone! If it's someone directly related with my character's family, I'd prefer if there's some rules that you follow, but I hope that doesn't discourage you. Lore: I follow it loosely and I definitely don't know everything there is to know. I feel like there's some leeway, but overall it's interesting enough to stick with it. If I've made a huge mistake with it, please let me know, I'm more than willing to correct myself. Chat Functions: I follow the rules of whatever the FC or linkshell follow. Tells are cool, I don't have an IC explanation for them yet, and if the whisper is OOC then if someone could add the double parenthesis "(())" so I'll also know. I hope that isn't too hard for anyone to follow, I'm not going to get upset at anyone, but it will be easy for me to know what response you want. I usually RP with says or /em, but will change with who ever my partner is. Included Races: Elezen Wildwood and Duskwood (However the current Lord Vainemaude has been known to have many mistresses of various races) Members: Lord Sebastien Vainemaude -(NPC) The current head of the house, shrewd, charming and ultimately ruthless. Sees every obstacle as a chess game and won't hesitate to use his flesh and blood as pawns. Everthe opportunist, he will grab at any chance to make himself rise higher and higher in power. If it will benefit hisend game, he has no qualms with betraying others. His end game is yet unknown. Lady Estelle Chilvont - (NPC)Lady of another minor house, although many believe her to be weak willed and delirious. Spends all her time doting on her children, turns a blind eye to Sebastien's many adulteress acts. Has become more withdrawn from the public eye. The death of her only daughter has made her sickness of the mind progress even worse. Has very few lucid days. Maurice Vainemaude - (NPC) 1st son of Lord Vainemaude and LadyChilvont, under the tutelage of House Durendaire. Set to inherit the House after Sebastien. A serious lad, whom unlike his father, follows a strict code of honor Julien Vainemaude - (NPC) Secondson of Lord Vainemaude and Lady Chilvont, currently involved with Scholarly work within The Holy See. A normally easy going youth with a high amount of drive when it comes to pursuing his dreams. Eclaire Vainemaude - (NPC)The only daughter of Lord Vainemaude and Lady Chilvont, posthumous birth. Had father's eyes. Cloche Snowfield - (PC)Only known bastard daughter of Lord Vainemaude and his favourite mistress. Unable to carry the true name of Vainemaude,thus given the base-born name of Snowfield. Believed to be enrolled in the Chateau Rougechard (An academy for highborn women). Currently missing. And a whole lot of retainers and servants (Am I allowed to expand on this later or no?) You bring up great questions! I guess I'm still finalizing some points but so far I have a character that is a female Midlander, I haven't decided on a class (I started with Lancer, switched to Conjurer, tried pug, thaum, and now I'm back to Lancer now) but I'm thinking of Archer since I can't seem to get good with Lancer. So far for origin story, I have a Ishgardian Midlander from a well-off family who wanted to her continue "finishing school," but she had other plans and is trying her hand at adventuring before her parents lock her into a boring future of business and trade. So far she's just really bad at everything (since I am too) and she's just tries her best. In the meantime she's sending false letters home saying she's having a great time and etc. I work full time, so I have a few idea bouncing in my head. I just plan on creeping on other people in chats and leveling up/deciding on what class I want to be.

Hey everyone, sorry I always sound like a complete idiot whenever I do introductory posts. I guess i'm a little new to the RP scene as in I've never tried it on an actual mmo. I was wondering if anyone could give me any pointers on what I should do (and how i should not be so shy when introducing myself to new people :geek:) Looking for new pointers, i transferred an old character from another server in (but i'm changing classes completely) Currently i'm in Ul'dah so if anyone wants to find me and hang out (or laugh)
