K'zhumi aknowledged hearing the outsider's name with a flick of her ear, focusing on precise placement of the runes she was applying. Both ears going flat as she heard Li say the muscle was almost cut through. "That could be difficult to fix." Taking her grimoire in hand, Zhumi began channeling aether through each rune slowly beginning the closure of the wounds.

K'tahjha sat curled behind her aunt's head to conserve space in the healer's tent. She softly stroked K'luha's hair and ears, pleased that she had taken a bit of food and was now resting peacefully. Occaisionally looking toward the healers worriedly, Tahj was none the less confident that they would be able to mend the unfamiliar male. looking back to K'luha with a smile Tahj bent and softly placed a kiss on her forehead as she slept. Sighing with relief as the outsider managed to dam the flow of blood from the male's chest, K'zhumi turned her attention to the rest of the wounds. Reaching to open her grimoire, she found the page she wanted, then taking the ceremonial paint she began covering the area around each wound with precise drawings. Glancing gratefully to the outsider as they worked, Zhumi gave him a small smile,"What is your name outsider?"
-
With both hands and whatever aether she had command of without her grimoire focused on stemming the flow of life's blood, Zhumi nodded her assent. Hoping the stranger would know what to do.

Shaking her head and pushing worry some thoughts of the injured Nuhn out of her mind, K'zhumi focused on her injured patient. Using bits of thread and small bursts of aether she worked to tie off the many veins that were leaking life blood onto the sands below. One ear twitched as the other healer summoned the small yellow animal, but she quickly forgot about it as the devastating injury claimed her total attention. Spotting a particularly deep wound to the side of the sternum, Zhumi moved bits of torn flesh and muscle to the side to better visualize the area. To her dismay they had been covering an artery, as blood fountained out of the wound, she quickly reached in with both hands to secure the ends of the vessel. This unfortunately left her without a way to open and use her grimoire, and time was fading fast. "Outsider! Quickly I need your assistance please."

K'zhumi was beginning to cleanse the deep wounds on the injured male's chest when he spoke. In the back of her mind something clicked, his scent combined with the sound of his voice..Then he spoke again and her blood froze. K'yohko injured?! She looked towards the flap of her tent in frustration, she could not leave her patient. Surely if his injuries were severe, someone would have brought him to her.

K'zhumi eyed the male's wounds in dismay, so much damage and blood loss and she still felt slightly weak from the massive effort of healing K'luha. Zhumi frowned as she heard the unfamiliar male offer his assistance, let the outsider heal in her tent? Heaving a sigh and bowing to need she nods at him, "He's lost too much blood, we need to stop it. I'll start on the chest and you take the left arm. Use whatever supplies you need, but be sparing, we can't afford to waste them."

K'zhumi's ears flicked back and forth in aggrivation. What in the seven hells was going on outside? It sounded like a bunch of old women at a stitching party. Just as she was about to give whoever it was a piece of her mind, she heard a crash and K'rahto calling for her. Whipping the tent flap back she was momentarily puzzled by several faces she didn't immediately place. The injured male and the girl looked familiar, but she didn't have time to puzzle it out now. Focusing her attention on the tia who looked almost bled white, she raised her voice over the small crowd, "You there!"pointing at Li,"Get his feet and help get him in the tent." K'tahjha was aware of the arguement going on outside the tent, but continued tending to her aunt. As the crash occurred and it appeared the commotion was coming inside the tent, her first instinct was to reach for her bow to protect K'luha and the healer. In the next instant the smell of blood reached her and she realized one of them was injured. Attempting to maximize room in the tent Tahj scooted up behind Luha's head to give the healer room to work.

I just wanted to say thank you to the other members of the Hipparion tribe who took in a newcomer to the Final Fantasy rping scene and made her family.

Thank you so much! Was the first time I've ever gotten a picture of a character. You drew K'tahjha so well. <3

K'tahjha beamed at her aunt, very happy to see her alert and eating a bit. Tahj fussed with the blanket making sure it covered K'kuha's feet and tucking it around snugly. After making sure the water was close enough to reach without moving, she snuggled down against her aunt's uninjured side, yawning sleepily. "I missed you." Waking from her deep sleep, K'zhumi looked over to her patient and smiled. Tahj makes a good assistant, she thought. Careful not to disturb the pair she carefully reached under the blanket to check on the hip, nodding in satisfaction. Then returned to her table to restock and sort herbs and medicines for the next use.
-
In response to her aunt's question, Tahj held up the blanket and the warm robe she'd found,"This looks comfortable and might not be too hard to slip into?" She carefully set them down at Luha's side and offered the waterskin,"I brought a small bit of dried meat, it would help you get your strength back if you can nibble on it." She then settled back and waited patiently to assist her aunt with which ever she wanted first.
-
K'tahjha smiled happily at her aunt, gently placing the hand she was holding down, and scrambling off to their tent. Sorting through the few clothes K'luha had left behind, Tahj found a comfortable looking robe and grabbed a blanket. She then headed past the supply tent to fill a water skin and grab a small piece of dried meat, knowing her aunt needed a bit of food to regain her strength and finish healing. Returning to the medical tent, Tahj peeked over and noted K'zhumi still sleeping heavily. Knowing the shaman must be exhausted Tahj tip toed quietly to K'luha's side and sat down her bundle of stuff. Reaching out to smooth a few stray locks of her aunt's hair, Tahj murmured quietly,"Awake? I brought you a few things."
-
K'tahjha blinked as she felt a light touch on her leg followed by her shoulder. She wiped at her eyes, red and swollen from crying, but managed a bright smile for K'luha, happy to see her aunt waking up and looking much better. Tahj caught the seeking hand in her own and squeezed it lightly. "Yes, I'm ok now. Do you think you can drink a little water? I should run by our tent and get you something to wear also." Should any of the males walk in the tent Tahj felt sure her aunt would not want to be naked.
-
As K'mih walked away Tahj spun around to escape to the safety of the tent and her aunt. Her mind whirling furiously, Why? She was sure out here where there were no trees to burn, that the nightmares wouldn't follow her. Tears beginning to stream down her face, Tahj lowered her self to curl up carefully next to her aunt, letting her tears dry against Luha's shirt.
-
Making fists to steady her shaking hands, Tahj involuntarily took a few steps backwards away from her sister, eyeing her like she might produce flames out of then air. After an uncomfortably long period of silence to collect herself, Tahj gave K'mih a shaky smile, "I'll try. You'll be awesome at it."
-
K'tahjha's ears slammed flat to her skull, there was a roaring and popping sound of a large fire bouncing around in her skull. The more she thought about the idea the higher the fear rose, Tahj could feel it in the back of her throat and it became hard to swallow. Shaking her head forcefully to clear it, Tahj stared at her sister, surely K'mih had no idea what she was asking her to do. Tahj opened her mouth to speak and nothing came out, running a shaking hand through her hair she tried again,"I-I'm sorry."
-
K'tahjha's smile faded and her ears drooped, she knew what kind of dancing K'ile taught. Her eyes drifted closed, brief images of burning trees passing over the closed lids. The air around Tahj seemed to get hotter stifling even. Taking a deep steadying breath she pushed away the rising sense of fear and opened her eyes, seeking her sister's gaze. "I- I can't" her voice barely a whisper.
-
Dancing? K'tahjha probably looked as puzzled as she felt. "Sure, sometime. I need to stay with aunt luha now though." She peered at her sister with a curious smile. "Who's giving dance lessons out here?"

Having disposed of the urn full of sand, K'tahjha headed back for the medical tent. Now that the stress and heavy emotions of the last several bells were leaving her, she was very tired and wanted nothing more than to curl up near her aunt and sleep. Drawing near to the tent once more, she spotted a certain pink-haired miqo'te. Tired though she was, her face brightened and her lips curved into a smile as she quickened her pace to pull K'mih into a hug.
-
Taking a careful look around, K'tahjha decided she'd gotten all the tainted sand picked up. Both K'luha and K'zhumi appeared to be resting, so Tahj picked up the urn full of sand and stepped outside of the tent. Spotting K'rahto still standing guard, Tahj flashed him a weary smile and headed for the edge of camp to dump the sand.
-
After finding a large clay urn and a scoop, K'tahjha returned to the medical tent. Looking towards the shaman, she discovered Zhumi had fallen asleep in the corner, So remaining as quiet as she could Tahj began scraping the top layer of sand from around K'luha and placing it in the urn.
-
K'tahjha flinched back eyes going wide and ears flat to her skull at the screech emitting from her aunt. Never had she heard a living being make such a noise. Barely recovering in time to grab at K'luha's hands as she started to flail at the shaman. K'zhumi's ears dipped apologetically as K'luha began to scream, she felt badly but it had to be done. Gathering what energy she had left, she picked up her tome and concentrated on the bones in the hip that were now in place. If she could only keep them where they belonged for the healing to finish. Using her aether she shaped it into a fixation device of sorts holding the bones in place from inside. Before her energy was spent Zhumi healed small portions of the broken bone giving the rest of the pieces a framework to grow across. Slumping back in utter exhaustion, K'zhumi spoke queitly to K'tahjha. "Child, go get a bucket and scrape the top layer of sand from the floor, do not use your hands."
-
K'tahjha was startled out of her near doze by the shaman's voice. Puzzled but obedient, the girl moved slightly to the requested position. Discovering in the process her legs were partially numb and not very responsive from sitting so tightly curled for so long. Watching curiously, Tahj was caught completely off guard by the healer's violent twisting on her aunt's leg. At the audible and sickening snapping and crunching sound, Tahj's ears flattened and she turned slightly pale. Closing her eyes tightly Tahj fought to control the urge to be sick. She was not going to vomit in the shaman's tent.
