IMHO, It's like the Elin and Popori in Tera. In RP they're pretty much a joke. Most people figure those playing the elin are either Pedobait or a creepy dude. and the Popori are fat, silly animal people. They're the 'odd' race out in FF14. Just about every MMO has one.

Best Retro Game I Never See Anyone Talk About.

Plenty of people talk about this game! It's the forefather of a ton of games today! Heck, Smash TV was one of the first of what is considered a 'rogue like'. Look at binding of isaac. Here's one list of twin stick shooters, most of these are great games too. Here's another list of just top down shooters. Shows how the genre evolved into a sort of puzzle/skill related game with Hotline Miami and the like. The genre is well and alive, and I'm glad. Twin stick shooters are some of the most engaging and entertaining games there are. Heck, I've sat for two hours and played Geometry wars in one sitting. -
Love this song, and the movie it's the theme for so much. MV_3Dpw-BRY

Also, a lack of male Miqo'te dancers. Might be time to pick up a new hobby! It is probably taboo! Isn't that what makes it fun? Hah. I imagine my character would look silly. Do what feels good, I say.

Never really got into PSG.

Exactly! Although it is only head-canon, I have used "The Ul'dahn" style of dancing to mean just that. As an entertainer in Ishgard it was the most important style in her repertoire, though in an incomplete and different form given the distance and isolation (one example: Ishgardian dancers of the style do not use finger cymbals, instead relying on bells sewn into their costumes to generate rhythmic percussion, they also do not have access to the exquisite body-jewelry that is a hallmark of the arts true practitioners in the Jewel of the Desert). I view dancers who also moonlight as prostitutes the exception to the rule. Meaning, While I'm sure most dancers don't prostitute, there are those that do and they're the ones helping reinforce the ideal.
-
They're also extremely close to Belly dancers and the like, which have never been about prostitution and more about the skill of the dance and the tease.

My Miqo'te is a street urchin who's working his way out of Ul'dah, So if you're looking for a friend I'd be more than happy to make a connection. Also Prostitutes =/= Strippers. Though, in FF lore that could be different.

Aye. Sadly it isn't. But, Gurren Lagaan should still be up there and it's really good too. For both series, no matter how much you don't like them. Stick it out till about six or seven episodes in. They both take a little bit to get into it.

Here's a list of all the things I've watched. Though I'm probably missing some. Just in case you're curious about an Anime or what. Naruto gets way better and way shorter if you skip all the filler. It basically cuts 400+ episodes in half. That said, I'd recommend One Piece and Kill la Kill if you ever get the chance.

Another, Just in case. No offense or anything, but expressions can really only give you a general idea of a situation, of course they can tell a story themselves, but your examples perhaps give a little too much information. It is fine showing how a character feels, towards the end there it's broke into describing her feelings outright which no one else but your character can take account for. I tend to avoid writing feelings, and focus on the physical body language. Example: She sat down at the table with a loud thud, she noticeably had dark rings around her eyes. Her hair tangled and messy. It was clear she hadn't been sleeping. With another loud thud she planted her face into her arms cradling her head, soon after a loud snoring could be heard from the girl. Over all, I feel you can be descriptive, and over descriptive. None taken! But it's meant to be that way. I may not be used to Roleplaying in FF14, but forums, Muds and secondlife are usually that large, and more. I get that you're in a 3D world, but I wouldn't consider what I posted over descriptive. And while other players cannot directly react to Feelings, it does set tone and mood and helps give a deeper glance into what the player is trying to portray. I'd also like to point out this is for a silent character, who cannot use words to help convey their feelings. Think of it like this. You're reading a book. You read character's thoughts in the book. And that's sorta how I view RP. We're writing a story and it doesn't hurt to give flavor to the tale. I don't mean to offend either, but your example kind of leaves one wanting. Because you don't use feelings, I have no context, there's nothing to describe how tired she is. Just that she's tired. It's also not the best example to use, as the characters in the examples are interacting with people. Also, there is no such thing as too much information. Unless the person you're playing with is Metagaming, they can't truly know anything your character is thinking. They can only react to your speech and physical appearance. We can chalk this up to personal preference if you want, but I don't agree with you.

I find when I play a silent character, I pay far more attention to descriptive text and gestures with the hands. I suppose an example would be best? Another, Just in case.

Er, I believe the thread is called " RANT ABOUT IRL THINGS AKA HUMANITY WHY. " Note that the Humanity why part is not the actual title of the thread. And what sort of attitude is this to have? You can't claim clairvoyance over something you had no actual part in. Your belief that Edgar is manipulating the information has about as much ground as the information you're claiming he's manipulating. Right now, you are complaining about someone's complaint in a complaining thread.

What was considered "cold", though? It may have been the standard temperature but he preferred it hotter or an error on the barista's side as you said. We don't know. Either way, there's no need for Edgar to be such a condescending prick about it. Er, between 70c - 90c is the best temperature to serve any hot drink. And lets be real here. It's a hot Chocolate. Not a lukewarm Chocolate, or a blood warm Chocolate. If it's lower than 50c, you're not serving it properly. Prick or not. Edgar's brother and He have a right to complain, no matter how harshly. Money was involved and the drink was obviously nowhere near warm enough to be called a Hot Chocolate. So the employee was doing something very obviously wrong. Customer entitlement is a major issue. Yes, people have a 'right' to complain - but that doesn't mean that the customer has a right to be an arrogant wanker. I have my doubts that the employee in question went out of her way to make Edgar's brother's life a misery - so the personal attacks aimed at the employee in question are both irrelevant and obnoxious. Paying money for a service doesn't give people the right to be nasty either - especially if the mistake is an innocent and understandable one as well as something that is almost certainly going to be fixed if attention is drawn to it. I've worked plenty in the service industry. ( Starbucks is not retail.) I've had to deal plenty with customer entitlement. But there is a vast difference between being served something wrong, and a customer being entitled. A customer being entitled is asking for free food because they didn't enjoy their meal. A customer being served cold food and complaining, Is not entitlement. And I don't see how serving some one a cold drink is understandable? I'm no barista, but one can assume that there is a few basic steps to making a Hot chocolate. The main one being, is the drink hot? Understandable is getting the drinks mixed up, or forgetting they didn't want whip. Those are understandable situations. I'm not picking sides here. I'm just saying that the complaints are justifiable.
