Hey peoples o/. So I've noticed that there are a lot of nobles, servants, knights and what have being rpd but there doesn't seem to be much of a community about them. Nobility isn't as fun with just npcs so would people be open for a noble rp ls? It doesn't have to be just Ishgard. There's Ul'dah, Limsa, even Gridania to a certain extent. You could use the ls to create unions or rivalries, gather more people into your house and so on. Would folks be open for noble rp? Or even just forming up a house? I know, I know - these kind of groups can get a bad rap. It can get very insular and just....bad when everyone wants to rp the spoiled rich bad. I can't promise I can prevent that but I'd try my best. Not to sound incredibly cheesy but ffxiv has one of the better rp communities so I think it really could work. Anyway if anyone was any ideas or opinions please let me know. I'm more than open to criticism, especially if you've done noble rp before and can give me some experienced advice.

This could be asked for all City States but I'm personally more invested in Ishgard. Anyway, it's a pretty simple question: Does anyone know the ranks of nobility? What does Ishgard follow? What about Ul'dah? Gridania? Limsa? Do the last two even have nobility? What about Ala Mhigo? They had a monarch, so could you feasibly play an Ala Mhigan noble? I've glanced over French aristocracy and that's....wow. Just...nobility inception. There are noble ranks within noble ranks. Does anyone know if Ishgard holds true to France's aristocracy, or does it follow its own thing? Any info, even if its just your own head cannon would be awesome ^^.

Question that popped up during rp: Are there any slurs for Garleans? Can't recall hearing any in game. If not, anyone have any good ideas?

I think having player character npc is actually not a bad idea. Also....why is this a debate? I mean, it's a wiki. No one owns it.

K'haz is 27 now. He joined the Imortal flames as a combat medic around 17, left around 24 and has been living in Gridania until recently. Now he's traveling back to Ul'dah to start up an underground clinic of sorts. He's currently living with Raze (Prophet's character)

I don't think they'll ever be a list of foods that are lore appropriate on the official web sight so I say wing it. Though I am a little curious about Gridania. Do they have to be careful what they farm so not to upset the elementals? And what about Ul'dah? I haven't really explored it yet but are there farms? I mean they're in the middle of the desert. They can't just rely solely on trade, can they?

K'haz's favorite is Rabbit. He's not crazy about fish though - didn't grow up with it being raised in a desert and all. He loves ice cream though. He's willing to try anything once but really prefers meat. Ice cream with bits of bacon in it? He'll kill a man for that.

I saw at least a hundred male mi'quotes in Ul'dah during the beta test... maybe they just don't like women? Aldeus was raised by a Hyur. Even though he's an Elezen, he knows very little about Elezen culture. He looks at himself and others through the lense of a Hyur perspective. He doesn't care much for mi'quote promiscuity, nor the brutish behavior of Roegadyn. He'll give everyone a fair shake though, except Garleans. He's ashamed of himself for it, but he really hates them. He's from Ala Mhigo. Also, still not sure what a Lalafell is. Some kind of breakfast pastry? Gods don't remind me. Personally I'm just pretending that the lot of them are just a bunch of guys pretending to Miqo'te in hopes of getting a harem of female cat girls...which probably isn't too far off base. Also the Lalafell are the midget race, aren't they? I think intermixing of races works kind of like elder scrolls does. If I remember the lore right the baby's race depends on the mother though there will be some...traits that show up from the father's side.

Alright I made a Skype account. It's SGrp.2408. My hours are fine as long as it's not on Mondays or early mornings on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Oddly enough, this was exactly what I was just talking about with my mentor! They never really talk about this in the creator descriptions but you see in the game reflected on how NPC's talk and act. Since I am new to Final Fantasy I am excited to see this thread! Please keep this going I'll do my best! Hmm I wonder how many cat jokes, Miqo'te get? Wait...does Eorzea have cats?

We may all be our own unique, special snowflake but we're still made of the same stuff. Somewhere in the world you can always be assured that someone is thinking or feeling the same thing you are right now. And, I actually like your pic. Unfortunately the usual response to drawing on the internet is 'if it's not Photoshop I'm not looking at it.' Which sucks I know. But don't stop sketching! You should be proud of it! It looks just as good as anything I've ever done and you didn't have to cover it up with paint and shading effects to make it that way!

Alright peoples! Listen up! There's a plan in the works. A glorious, magical plan that will act as the ultimate stepping stone to our success. A stepping stone that will take us to the very mountain tops so that we may witness as the gods themselves weep for not having come up with it first. We will the proceed stick our tongues out at those thunderous skies and laugh as we dance in their sorrow! In other words were going to do an open rp thing on Skype. It'll open to anyone and everyone. The story itself is still in the works but be rest assured that it will Not be lore heavy. You don't have to know everything about Eorzea to participate - just be sure to know which end of a Chocobo is the front and you'll be good. Tyronis has been super awesome and even offered to help me set the whole thing up which I greatly appreciate. In his own words this will simply be a 'trial run.' It's not serious, it's not a big deal, and you won't be black listed if you make a mistake. This is just for fun and maybe even a little practice, a way to get your feet wet if you've never rp'd before. I've never rp'd on Skype so it'll be a new experience for me too! If you have any comments, or opinions, or just want to chime in a thought then please reply. If you think this is the stupidest idea ever then...uh *insert witty and tasteful comeback here* I'd like to make it happen the following weekend (not this one) though that's still up in the air. Any thoughts?
