i posted a thread to see what others may know on the subject, so let use hope some one can shine some light on the subject. this what i know so far Magic is, by definition, "the art of producing a desired effect or result through the use of incantation or various other techniques, that presumably assure human control of supernatural agencies or the forces of nature". If you have not notice on the welcome board me and a fellow rper are trying find where does magic spells come from. This has been a task all in its own and now im asking you as the community to help use with this. I know from playing and reading that each final fantasy game has its own way of obtaining magical spells but it does not say how it works. At least there is no connection of all final fantasy of how this works. Are they born with it? Is some thing they need to tap in to? Is some thing you need to go to school for? We do know magic comes from the planet or rather the life force but this only raises more questions how you are able to use it. So put your thinking caps on gang and try help use out on making a connection on how magic works.

Man i cant find any thing and went through all the final fantasy...... sorry man but this may have be some thing you have to make up.

I try more final fantasy 2 and up since the started go in more detail of how things work. Try XI sine that final fantasy was the old online one and may have some lore on magic. I will try see if i an find some thing my self to help you. so far found out that first mage to ever come to final fantasy was a red mage final fantasy 1.... still looking.

Funny not even I know much about me hahaha but I now know from reading the thread on Balmung forums I do have some skill in capa.... Though this leads me to wonder how did you know?Since I'm not using my name I had in XI.... Think TERA Vash! My seems to catch up with me then hahaha! Ami enjoys people-watching (one of her favorite activities) and is frequently observing people and their mannerisms in hopes of being able to use them in her character developments. Additionally, when she was a child, a troupe member introduced her to the art of Archery. After a very brief stint with the troupe, he moved on; no one knows where he went. Ami would love to find him to thank him for instilling in her the love of Archery. FWIW, the chances of finding him are small. In the back of her mind, Ami knows that. She doesn't remember his name and can barely remember his face. Still, she holds out hope because she can be stubbornly optimistic at times. Other than that, Ami's not sure what she's looking for, and neither am I. We'll find out, perhaps, once she gets into the world? Sounds interesting... maybe capa would be a god fit for you.

That is a very good question. I'll have to try and learn about how white magic is supposed to work before i can answer that. Currently my character is going to be following the Summoner Job, so (I guess, from what I've seen) His magic is derived from geometric shapes or drawings. I don't have a clue how they theoretically work though. This is some thing you have to look in to by reading up on more of the older final fantasy. Though you are right that circles play big part though i think that is more with summoning then any thing. If i'm right ( which i may not be) magic is the energy in you and only the people that an tap in to there life force or soul can release it.

Ah well till you this my friend if you cant find it in lore and its not here on the site then we don't know any thing about it. Though from what you have here your guy sounds fine, and i don't think any one will care if it is little off of lore any way. Though I can recall From final fantasy 9 there where mages that failed at doing spells, granted they where puppets but none the less they failed and where tossed away. See as your guy can do black magic but not white magic i see no issues with it and i only ask when make story tell use how your white magic back fires.

Mhm Ill tell you what im new to capa and i would give it a try if some one was willing to teach me how it works. So if you need me... really if you need me i will help... If no one else steps to the plate. Rock you are more then what you think you are to the sever. We may be the blood to the sever but your heart that keeps use going. I may not say much on the Gilgamesh sever forum but im aware of what goes on, so i say keep up the good work and Isis you to. If we keep coming up with ideas and then following through with them come phase 4 and launch i think the sever will be ok.

so my hunch on Capa was right then.... well then this is not in my ball park but i do like the idea. I would pay watch some fun acting or dancing. sounds good though keep use posted on what may happen, places this be held, and times.
