As far as I know, any places can be compatible as long as no hostile forces is nearby, this is especially true for linkshells that claimed some of the taverns and rooms and to be made their own head quarters. 2. That is a problem happened for a couple of times during Beta Test Phase 4, I don't know the details, but it is safe to assume it is some sort of test on the players limits of the servers, because the servers returns to normal in it's few final hours. 3. Sorry, I have no knowledge of its significance except role-playing value. 4. There is a link above called linkshell, if that is not enough, there is a collection of forum thread titled Linkshell Hall. Hope these answers help you ^^

If you haven't any clue, Linkshell is a in-game function that act like a clan of sort, once you select your linkshell and received, you may access to a list of members within that linkshell. A player may have up to 8 linkshell at once. I hope you have a good time in RPC.

I was impressed of several commission threads in this forum and decide to drop in and test my capability in serving RPC members! Beside playing games, I am also good at iconography and simply 2D arts. My art style consists of simple 2D vector graphic, based on shapes, and bright colors. There are several type of designs that I can do: Free Company's coat of arm, linkshell's logo, family's emblem, personal's symbol, and other similar arts. The price for each is around $5 to $15, digital 2D vector art with colors. I also show off some pixel arts that I have done last year. I wasn't sure if anyone still fancy pixel arts, but I'll accept a customer's request nonetheless. Welcome to RPC! I sought RPC the same way you did! I played a MUD game called Achaea, text system is so flexible, everyone role play in it, and the stories were all written by players and devs, even in-game books were written by players. It wasn't long before I am interested in playing FF XIV (graphics! graphics!) and sought a role playing guild or something. It blew my mind to see there are actually tons of linkshells within one site, most of them dedicated to a role playing experience! Enjoy your stay in RPC, explore the linkshells section and join one. I was so excited I go ahead and proceed with the project. Here is what I have done: HERE Please do not begin the project first, it was a draft of processes to the project. Additionally, I have read a thread in FF XIV:ARR forum that mentioned the devs were well-aware of the demand of copy-paste ability on the chat windows. Since the dialogue records in the chat windows (under the event tab), it will reduce our workload significantly; that is if the feature will be available in the future. I have also noticed that Flickr allow their users to store 1 TB of pictures. I believe that is more than enough to ignore the need for a screenshot-text conversion. Another feature that I would like to add is the Lore Summary. We could collect a summary of usable lore for everyone to see, like how Merri does it HERE.

Thank you so much for your friendly reply! It seems that popular Linkshell has their own website as well as their unique registration project. It will be a while before I could familiarize with in-game lore and build a character. I have also proposed a Dialogue Collection Project HERE

Hey guys, After a few days of consideration, I have decided to simply collect the lore instead of these tedious works. I was chatting with Inja Dehqon in-game. We were both discussing about character background, and I told her it would be difficult to came up with one because most lore has to be collected by doing quest. My solution to this would be taking screenshot of all text during questing. Inha Dehqon mentioned that her way of doing it would be typing all of the text on keyboard. This gave me an idea: I could release all of the images out and anyone could help me convert it into text. The purpose of picture-to-text conversion is to save space, and everyone can access to the dialogue collection. This could includes quest dialogues and, of course, it could eventually includes all dialogues in NPC interaction. The problem is this requires a lot of work and it also requires participation of many people in orders to work with a lot of content. There are also the question of usefulness of these dialogues collection. For me, it could help me understand Eorzea better, learning the way Eorzean speaks, and tidbits of local area lores. Please comment on this idea (good or bad, the viability of this project, another better way to do it, etc), and your intention to participate in the project.

Hello, I'm Cole. Although I haven't decide on a character's name yet. (This forum allows you change username, how convenient!) I have role-playing experience in MUD game called Achaea - I am a protector of forests and scholar of nature and elemental studies, lore and history. My role-playing experience usually involved historical research, safeguarding and patrolling Nature because that is what I like to do. I'm not sure if I could repeat the experience in FF XIV because a MUD game is very dynamic. In Achaea, there are libraries of books written by players themselves for example. I am most definitely believe that RPC and FF XIV could give me an entirely different experience! I have just received a beta-key this morning, and I will join the game tomorrow. I wasn't sure where I had read it but I read the RPC members gather on 'Besaid' server and a different server during Beta? May I ask someone advise me in this regards? I'm new to linkshell. Is Linkshells design to be guilds of different play-type and goals or they are simply groupings of RPC members? I also noticed some Linkshell choose a specific server, some explanation in this regards would be helpful!
