  1. Here's my three chars I've created. J'huiz, my main: Mhavos, my alt. Marah, my highlander. I don't know if I'll ever play her, but I like her.
  2. I didn't post my thoughts here because I'm necessarily worried about it. I posted it because sometimes I really like to know what makes people tick, and the reason they, or even a society acts the way they do. I'm not interested in every little detail, or what not, but something like this is strange enough to catch my interest. Its fun!
  3. I wonder where love fits into all of this, and how its view. It seems like in Miqo'te culture, love takes a way side. As a Seeker, you mate with Nunh's, whether you love them or not. As a Keeper, the females pick the males that please them most, I believe. I suppose this could have a bit more room for love. In a Seeker society though, what happens when a female falls in love with a Tia? It it frowned on or scorned? Even worse, what if they have children together? Are they banished from the tribe, or allowed to stay? It seems like in either society, since there are far less males, that lesbian relationships may also be quite common. Sure, they use a male to have children, but that may not be whom actually raises them. Hmm...
  4. This sounds like something definitely for me. J'huiz will be a bard, and loves to dance, and play. I think it could be quite entertaining to put on some plays, or do a music night where several people take turns on stage to play songs. I wonder if there is any way we could do circus performances? That could be pretty entertaining too! -J'huiz (aka Caska)
  5. I'd love to try to make it, but I don't usually get home from work for a few hours after it starts. I can try to leave early, but no promises! J'huiz (aka Caska) ARC ~30
  6. If this is still going on, I'd like to be added for the RP as well. Skype: AeonicVortex Wish I had seen this thread a few days ago!
  7. When I made my post, I was mostly trying to get across the concerns that any new person may have when coming to a server full of people. I've experienced many of those concerns myself, from ages past, so I know they are true. It seems to have done the trick though, as it garnered a decent response. In any case, I have transferred my character to Balmung, and I intend to play there unless a couple of my friends are really dead set against it. I truly do hope none of the things I mentioned happen, or at least don't happen with any real frequency, but they are things to watch out for.
  8. Greetings. I'm not a new RPér, but I'm new to the FFXIV RP community. I set my old 1.0 character to transfer to Balmung, but being that she's only level 17, with a few other classes/jobs leveled up, I can understand some other people's arguments. Many people here say that old players will be more than happy to help new players, but that's generally never the case. Sure, there are a few good souls, but if its your first time in an instance, most of the time if you do something wrong, you get, "OMG, wtf noob??" instead of helpful criticism or instruction. This worries me a little, as I've only been through the first 3 dungeons thus far on a beta char. I can say, as someone already mentioned, but it seems like with all the old established RP characters, cliche are already formed, and it wonder if it will be hard for new players to get into the RP. I joined in on Tera rather late, and its been near impossible for me to find RP there, because everyone has their groups already. In any case, those are just my concerns, but I look forward to giving it a try. I hope to meet some of you in game in the future!
