1. Have you killed your character before? Yes, in other games and it is when the storyline gives an opening. Otherwise, I deal with wounds that have my characters slowed if they can move but restricted to cities. Granted, I also had a name changer or something that changes the appearance and name as a whole. Because those that I've RPed with this recognize that being pulled from the state of death may have unwanted effects- (When it is apart of the system. Like BRP, Runequest, D&D...) like extreme bitterness or apathy (on top of resurrection sickness.) Edit: The name changers or things that change appearance for those characters who are either a high level or it's a hassle to create characters on a server. 2. How did your friends take it? Well. OOCly my friends took it just fine. Only because I can tell the OOCly what sort of thing I am planning and they spurred me on. ICly their characters were in mourning for a while. I don't do it if friends would be so OOCly upset. Because death is powerful, and depending on what is going on- it might not be the best thing to do. 3. Would you not want to RP with someone who may unceremoniously kill off their character? Why? Honestly. I prefer it being a part of a story. I've had people do it for the reason for 'I am bored', that they just want to reset all the ties to them, or to incite drama/get attention. Death happens. I'm just iffy on the unceremoniously killing off a character. I'd still RP with the person and the character that may come around after, just...Eh- sometimes I just brush off what is iffy to me personally.

RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Medium to Heavy. Mentally I am in RP while running but never hurts to shoot me a tell first. Can easily ICly call out or yank me if you are that sort of person. Views on RP combat and injuries: Combat and injuries happen. However, I rather it be appropriate… I do not know if there is any system for it, as I prefer to have something that can be do-able and within reason. Not everyone can dodge everything, not everyone can keep moving after suffering wounds. Not everyone can keep casting spells while tired without error. Views on IC romance: I’m alright with it. So long as contact is kept. My experiences with IC romance is much to be desired because people keep disappearing on me before the storyline can progress to which my character would feel comfortable going beyond just the simple PDA (hand holding, kisses on the cheek) and flirting. [Note: I do not make characters who are ‘easy’ be they male or female.] Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I welcome this! If it is something that both parties can think it can happen and want to commit- then I am all for it. If not, then well…I don’t push it. Views on lore: It’s needed. I’m still reading up on a lot of the lore and I might just make an overview cheat sheet for myself. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): I like using the chat functions…They are neated and sometimes I am a little slow because I became accustomed to forum related RP as of current. III. Ehfi ICly is a conjurer who is relatively new and I'd love to grow her in skill and as a person. The only thing is- I don't want to go into the 'shifting of alignment' for Ehfi. She's not fully fleshed out, yet...but I am getting there.

I happen to make a character onto Balmug. A character I planned to transfer but I'm okay with not transferring out of Siren. I'm just fine with balancing two servers. (The Ehfi in Siren will be a support for friends and family that wanna play this game a little bit without a que to get into the server. Or rely on blips. ^^)

I feel like I should put this here before I make any new threads that I am finally got onto Balmug~ (I have way too much free time so I could find a window of opportunity. Now there is a que~)

If you are going the transfer route keep in mind that you can transfer up to 8 characters in a single transfer. For that to work they need to all have the same start and destination server, and other transfer requirements also need to be met by all of them. (I think the requirements for character transfers - apart from paying money - is that they are at least 3 days old, and have gone through the introductory scenes so they are out in the open world.) Thanks! I saw about the 3 days old, and a few other information, but knowing about 8 characters in a single transfer helps sooo much!

Well, in that case. I'll just join a server and wait till I have collected what I need for a transfer. Thank-you for really letting me know the environment of getting in. x.x; I'll just make characters somewhere and figure out concepts along the way, so the one I feel I have a good grasp on will be transferred.

Thank-you for the welcome! I got Balmung on notice when it is open to new characters. As I cannot really afford the transfer, for the time being. I've noticed that Balmung is the go-to in my searches. So hopefully I get that window of opportunity.

Hello! I'm Noxtis316. Call me Genevieve/Gen if you like. I don't mind sharing my first name. My MMORPG background consist of: Ultima Online, World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, and I played Wild Star for a little bit...There is probably others that I am missing but they probably did not have a large RP community in them. My experience with RP has been ever since I was little. I tend to say that I was lucky enough to have parents who liked RPG games (table-top like D&D...They played UO, EQ, and so on.) and been roleplaying ever since. For character ideas, well...I'm in the process of getting FFXIV lore together to make character ideas. I have learned about the coalition by google searching and all my searches lead to the coalition. I tend to be a medium to heavy roleplayer in the MMORPG that I have played. I am going to college, so once semesters hit- I'm not going to be available a whole lot. I'm excited for this semester because it is courses to my major (All to lead up to getting to be Registered Nurse.) If there is a thread that I am writing to, I try to respond to that if I am swamped in what I need to get done. I also may not have game time as I might be balancing what I am playing if it requires 'time' for subscription. ...I haven't MADE my character yet, but I am in the character creation process and I have yet to pick a server.
