Axiom is a roleplay-oriented free company designed around simply enjoying Final Fantasy XIV's rich lore, environments, and the roleplay it creates, placing its focus on fostering a relaxed and inclusive environment for Role Players both new and old. What is the Premise / Setting for Axiom? Axiom is simply a Free Company of adventurers who wish to explore Eorzea! Nothing more and nothing less. We chose this premise so that any who wished to join our FC could do so without feeling the need to bend their character concept in order to fit into it. It is our hope that over time and through the influence of the players who join us, Axiom will grow and evolve, changing with the characters who become a part of Axiom's story. While we enjoy getting out into the world to roleplay through in-character dungeon runs and general exploration of non-instanced environments, we also recognize that group roleplay is best fostered through having a central gathering location. As such, we created the concept of The Mog & Mug, located in Lavender Beds, Ward 12 Subdivision, Plot 39. The Mog & Mug is a boarding house catering to adventurers both amateur and veteran, while also serving as the headquarters for Axiom and the ‘spirit’ of our Free Company Estate. In addition to this, Axiom also maintains two Linkshells: an Axiom Members linkshell allowing all FC members IC communication with each other, and an Axiom Allies linkshell, allowing similar IC communication between our members and non-Axiom allies. How will Axiom be run? At Axiom, we believe that you get out of the Free Company what you put into the Free Company. As such, major Free Company changes and aspects of its day-to day goings on are discussed and voted on by the Free Company as a whole so that everyone has their voice heard equally. Again, we believe in the Free Company evolving with the members, not forcing our members to evolve with the Free Company. While Axiom does have a Management team, we believe that as Management, these individuals are simply the custodians of the Free Company. The Free Company does not belong to these individuals, but rather the Free Company belongs to each and every person in it, for they are -all- responsible for its welfare and they all play a big part in making it what it is. Will Axiom host any events? We are currently running a number of reoccurring events and always thinking of more to involve our members. Some of these events include: Assignments - Events incorporating personal story arc or even the ongoing MSQ, integrating the story of Axiom with that of Eorzea's ever changing landscape. Taleweavers - IC Storytelling Tavern Roulette - IC pub crawl inspired by the Duty Finder Dungeon Roulette, designed to help our members find and explore all of the fun RP spots around Eorzea Stealth Exercise - IC Hide & Seek event Memoria Mondays - OOC PvE event in which we explore older content that our members may have missed. In addition to the planned events organized by the management team, all members are encouraged to take the RP reins, whether this be a formal event of their own or even a shout over the linkpearl to start a more impromptu gathering. Axiom also has an active and helpful PvE presence. Whether you need help with a duty queue or are looking for competent players to supplement your party, the Axiom community is filled with a number players willing and able to offer help. Hello fellow RPers! I'm N'ihlus Tia, member of Axiom Free Company. We've only just recently launched but leading up to our grand opening, there has been a lot of work coming up with ways to carry out events and facilitate RP. One such method is our brand new TAVERN ROULETTE, the first in our line of Axiom RP Tools. The idea is that in the vein of the Duty Finder's Dungeon Roulette, the Tavern Roulette looks through a database of pubs and eateries, then gives you a random RP spot on demand. Additionally, it can list all or some establishments based on a given filter criteria, and so can also act as a sort of Tavern Directory. The intent was to always open up the tool to the community at large as we feel there's some real value in it for others. Even if you don't use the roulette function, merely having a list of places to RP sitting down and sharing a drink with others could be useful. And this is where you all come in. As you might have gathered from the tool, we would like to include Player Housing as well as the established open world places found in the cities and settlements. Currently, we only have the Axiom owned Mog & Mug Boarding House listed. We would like to include many more player-run locations, however, so if you have a publicly open FC house with a bar or even just provide a place that people can sit, relax, and have a pint together, let us know below and we'll add it to the roulette! Additionally, if I've missed any of the NPC taverns in game or even missed their proper name, let me know and I'll get that corrected. Or if you have suggestions as to how this or any of our other tools can be improved, let us know.
