It’s open to the public, but the tournament itself only has 16 slots for combatants. If you’re interested in participating as a fighter, let us know. Contact info will be listed below. While the location will be in our FC house, the IC location will be the Ul’dah Coliseum, complete with a locker room for the fighters to prepare, a red carpet interview walkway, tavern, and of course the Pit. The preliminary round will have multiple fights going on at the same time. After that, the fights will be one at a time with a special guest Master of Ceremonies to spice up the narration. Each fighter has been hand recruited by one of the four sponsors to fight on their behalf. If you would like an RP before the date to be recruited by your sponsor, we can arrange it. IC, the sponsors have fronted the entire event, from renting out the Coliseum, to hiring staff, and paying for the rewards. They’ll be seated in the stands, making bitchy remarks about each other’s teams throughout the event. They’ll also be running IC bets with each other and any other rich patrons who wish to join them. We welcome spectators and IC betting. First, second, third place rewards are real gil/items. Fights are one-on-one. Though fighters may share the same sponsor, they may end up fighting each other after the preliminary round. [align=center]Combat:[/align] Combat follows Grindstone rules: 3 HP. Attack/defense. If you enter and need help learning the system, we can give you an IC or OOC training session. Champions must primarily be melee fighters. A little magic is okay, but your sponsor is paying you to beat the crap out of people, not wave a wand. No killing.
