Oh my gosh. I love both ideas. I can't really comment on the expectations of roegadyn RP, but I absolutely adore either and both of these concepts. I'd love to RP with you. Have you decided on a server yet?

I. Basic Info Characters: Alana Black Primary character: Alana Black Linkshells: - Primary RP linkshell: - II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Heavy to medium. I will almost always denote when I'm OOC with double parenthesis, but I generally treat things like dungeons (especially cross-server ones) as OOC. I'm happy to run dungeons IC, though; it just needs to be organised prior. My emotes tend to be a bit on the longer side. If this bothers you, please let me know and I can try to make things shorter. Views on RP combat and injuries: RP combat can be tricky, especially with certain types of people. I generally take into account the sort of character someone is playing over in-game statistics, etc. Injuries tend to be ephemeral in MMO worlds with magical healing and all sorts of potions available, but I like to RP out injuries incurred through RP when I get the chance. Views on IC romance: I'm generally okay with it. It can be a great source of character development and stuff, but I think it requires OOC communication. I have had a few bad experiences in the past, so I'm going to underline the following text. My character's romantic interest in your character is not indicative of my OOC romantic interest in you. I love RP; I love almost everyone I RP with; I think IC romance can be great, but please understand that there is a line, and it is a line that I really must insist not be crossed. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I love this sort of thing. Slice of life RP is my favourite kind of RP. Every character has a story, and I love learning about them and linking my characters' stories with others. Views on lore: I think it's important to have a basic understanding of the lore of any world that I want to RP in. That said, I'm fine with people bending lore to a certain degree. I'm fine with seeing characters that don't fit the stereotype of that particular race and/or gender. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): I'm really not sure what to put here. I'll use double parenthesis to denote OOC chatter most of the time, and I prefer to RP in /say and /em for the most part so others can join in if they want to. III. Welcome to the forums, Femgame. As Gilgamesh and Balmung aren't official RP servers, you can just bring him along and he won't have to RP. I know there's a few Linkshells/F.C.'s on Balmung that focus on endgame stuff. If he's interested in learning about RPing, you can always have him spectate scenes/events/whatever, but you don't have to be an RPer to have fun on either server.

It's mentioned in the Feedback Status List that this won't be implemented because of the extra strain it puts on hardware.

If you peek through the music files, there's also a chiptune-style Fanfare. The FF2 boss theme's marked as event music. I wonder how it will be used... That confused-looking chocobo in the video really made my morning. Thank you, Nel.

Such a wonderfully detailed introduction... Welcome to the forums, Lilac. ARR is really fun. I've had to stop myself from playing too much before phase 4. I RPed in GW2, as well, but I was on Tarnished Coast. I really like your character idea, and it's always nice to see more roegadyns around. I hope to see you in phase 4!

Welcome to the RPC. It sounds as though you'll fit in perfectly here. I'm an altholic, too. There's something nice about creating new characters, though I'm not quite sure how often I'll be doing that in FFXIV, even if I have ideas for a few. It's cheaper just to have one per server, and every class can be levelled on the one character and stuff. If you have any questions about lore, the forums or RP in XIV, please don't hesitate to ask them. There are heaps of knowledgeable people on this forum!

Hello, I'm new here. I was accepted into the beta over the weekend, and though I didn't get to play as much as I would have liked, I found myself sucked into the world of Hydaelyn. The world and lore are richly detailed and beautiful, and I look forward to getting to know some of you. I hope we'll all get along.
