Hi I'm Tinrinny Tinny and I have to be honest with you, I haven't role played in a long time.  I don't know if any of you remember the good old days of Yahoo and AOL chat RP?  Yeah it's been a while.  But I'm up to the task of re-learning etiquette and honing my skills to do your server proud!

 

Also I'm currently on the Malboro server, but I'm going to transfer (to the Balmung server) if I like what I see and I see what I likes!  

 

As for ideas for how to play this character, I think i'm going to go back to my WoW days as an undead rogue and go the insane murderous route for personality.  It's been done I know, but when those 'squirrels' get in your way you better bugger them off or they'll just keep coming back for more!

I had a similar start to RP with the whole chat thing. Not specifically Yahoo though. It's certainly been a while since those days.

Thanks, its good to see someone remembers the 'old days' of internet rp    I forgot to mention that I'm a 54 Astrologian, 52 Paladin, 51 Scholar/Summoner (though I don't play those anymore since discovering Astrologian), I've also picked up lancer a bit to try out a dps class.  It's ok but I think I like my healer classes much more.  I might try Dark Knight out a bit more but it seemed kind of slow to me.  

 

I might eventually go White Mage as well just far enough to get stoneskin because that's an awesome spell and I would like to have it as a cross class spell.  

 

I'll look more on the forums but is there any good casual RP (or even hardcore RP) FC's that are flexible with newer or returning eorzians/rpers?

What was fun were those Yahoo! Clubs because they had their own chat and little post system. Think it still exists kind of as Groups now.

 

Just lovely things like MUDs and MOOs

 

Stoneskin is pretty nice. 

 

The Linkshell Hall lists a lot of FCs and also gives an idea to what kind of RP they expect as much as their theme and possibly alignment. It also has some social non-FC chat channels that you can join and get your toes wet in while looking for a FC!

I'm currently looking through the FC's and Linkshells now, there are some I'd like to join but I think I made my character a little too violent for them :3  but I did find a FC that might fit so lets see how the application process goes!

 

I used to love all forms of text based games.  It allowed for a lot of imagination.  But let's not bring down the current state of games, I do like RPing in video games as well, it gives it more structure and allows you to see another person's visage of their character as they would show it.
