The noble seemed more pleased at her defiance. Though the hairs on the back of his neck stood up as he could almost feel the attention she was drawing rise. The distance between them was rapidly shrinking, as the long legged strides of Vairemont carried him closer to her form...and as he neared the familiar knife wielding hand had come into view now.

"You may not approve of their methods, but I promise you they are no less effective when employed against the heathen tongues of falsehood spitting wretches."

Vaire beamed at her, the wild look in his eye was quite different than what they had come accustomed to lately. Though now he would address the masses as he neared her.

"What say you? Good people of Ishgard, and those who now bespeckle our streets as honored guests and world weary travelers?! While it is SO well known that we of Ishgard would lay low any who lay with Dragon. While it is..debatable that our methods may ring cruel to the ears of those beyond our walls....is it not a blaspheme of such ludicrous levels that falls to your ears from this addled minded harlot? Does her slander of your very gods themselves not make my blade all the more divine?! Is this not what you want? I stand in league with those who govern...I stand in hunt of those who commit such grave sins against our people....and as such I claim the right to end this heresy myself! " He'd reach out, trying to snag Evangeline by the hair if he could grab her.

He was putting on quite a show of things, as he tried to draw more and more attention to himself. The speaker, the killer had to keep this plan in motion. So bold too, considering she stood with a brute of a Roegadyn man right at her side even!

Evangeline begins to step backwards, this was going wrong, and very quickly at that.

"Thank you all for listening comrades! I must depart, but the struggle goes every onwards!" Without ceremony she steps backwards off the ledge behind her, vanishing from sight. The keen of sight would see a thin rope coiling down after her, as the Elezen falls down towards the Brume.

Then, she is gone, the only remnant of her presence the pamphlets blowing in the breeze, and the commotion left in the square.

Knights dash down the steps to follow her progress, and others mill around to detain and question those in the crowd.

(Sorry to cut this short, I was reading Les Misarables, so I couldn't resist! Feel free to keep going! I can NPC guards if needed)

Gritting her teeth as the spectacle began to grow more wild by the moment, V'aleera follows Klyn, casting an annoyed and incensed glare at a young knight who made at first to bar her path toward the scene before giving way to the clearly irate dragoon. Her boots came down hard on the paved stones beneath as she shoved and pushed gawking bystanders out of her path, her tail snapping sharply back and forth in angry strokes.

Honing in on the slender elezen with seemingly as much a penchant for boisterous and preachy speeches as Evangeline herself, the miqo'te stepped quickly forward, nimbly moving to step in front of him and leaving them only a couple fulms separated. Looking upward she would loudly bark at the knife-wielding preacher, "Put down that weapon, boy!" Fists placed upon her sides she speaks sternly, "The Holy See is home to the finest of lawkeepers and investigators; our blessed Temple Knights and ever vigilant inquisitors." The dragoon prods a finger sharply forward, "You, however, bear neither mark nor sigil of either; and just as the See does not tolerate belligerent heresy, neither does it tolerate vigiliantism or interference in the appropriate process of law."

"I know not what manner of man you are, nor do I have a whole understanding of your intentions. But if you value your freedom and your life, you will mind your civilian place." Staring the man down, V'aleera's attentions are briefly diverted by the odd exit of the instigator of the whole of the present mess.

Aigiarn watches dumbfounded as the Elezen fell off the ledge in a wholly intentional manner.

‘She really is crazy!” Aigiarn quickly notices the guards moving in on the crowd. ‘This is bad, I’m a foreigner, so they’ll kick me out of the city if they catch me, at the very least.’ As the rest of the crowd starts to realize the Temple Knights are coming, they start dispersing in a manner similar to a flock of cloudkin disturbed by approaching predators.

Looking for an opening, Aigiarn decided that the best way toleave the area would be to fade in with the crowd. Perhaps she could incite some of the panicking commoners into making more noise. She could also simply be taken into custody and beg forgiveness for talking with the dissident.

Aigiarn proceeded to jump down into the Blume.

‘She was rather inspiring….”

A loud crash was heard below.

Their greaves approached loudly under the sound of plate clashing with mail. Their black and crimson armor marked by agony and hate was showered with the recent spilling of gore from many things that used to breathe.

Their greaves approached loudly, crushing the snow that blanketed the streets of cobble and stone.

Oh, for now it has been a time since they had returned home and those who survived over the trying years of Ishgard welcomed them with open arms. In time; however, those who knew of their considerable reputation had also learned one disturbing difference. No one knew what happened to the knights whom once served the passed Inquisitor Maulcrioux during the initial Dravanian attack and though they were thought dead, the brothers had returned with a loathsome aurora that followed them wherever they tread.

This hour marked the brothers back from a successful hunt for the decapitated head of a wyvern swung to and fro, clenched under the sharp metal fingers of Xydane Vale. Held with a deathly grip by the older brother was also a woolen sack of unknown contents that dripped many crimson drops onto the white snow, leaving a trail that distinct the Vale Brothers' return.

As soon as they both entered the city, the brothers parted ways for reports of their hunt were to be made to certain imposing individuals somewhere in different parts of Ishgard. Time had shortly passed and Xydane had managed to find himself staring at some interest of a rather large crowd.

Forcing his way pass unknowing adventurers, travelers, and citizens of Ishgard, the knight came to a halt within some 20 yards away from where the short and somewhat tensed scenario took place. The wyvern's head was dropped onto the ground, forcing a sound that mixed flesh, stone, snow, and bone to be heard by all.

His dreadful helm, forged with revulsion, stared coldly at those that surrounded the area.

The Merciless had seen everything.

Quickening her speed to a near run, Klynzahr breaks into the open square, intensely grateful for the V'aleera's authoritative presence at her side. Emboldened, she plunges into the throng just as the winds begin to turn fowl. With the combination of height, determination, and a well placed elbow or two she comes close enough to make out Evangeline's half-wild expression.

Then the tide turns, jostling her back again. The half deranged, knife-wielding form blocks her view, followed by the very familiar and jarringly unexpected shape of a fellow Sea Wolf. When she glanced back, Eva had vanished without a trace. For a few moments, Klynzahr remained rooted to the spot, while the tide of bodies surged past her towards safer streets. The roar of Ul'dah's bloody riots rose unbidden to her ears, followed by a sudden chill in the pit of her stomach. Suddenly her size, which had carried her effortlessly through the press of bodies, became a curse that prevented any possibility of hiding.

Painfully aware of the temple guards closing in, she hunched up her shoulders praying that the helm would at least mask her features. From behind her came the sound of a body crashing to the floor of the Brume.

He nearly hissed as the woman slipped right from his grasp. On one hand he was relieved, she wouldn't be nabbed and his show had been rendered utterly pointless. On the other hand, the damned creature had simply left HIM behind to deal with the fallout, and now he appeared a knife wielded lunatic. She was a thorn in his side, terribly so. From her infection of his ideals and patriotism, to her elusive and dangerous behavior..

None the less, arms went out to his sides, as he let the ornate blade fall and clatter to the ground. A turn of his heel would bring him around to face the Miqo, whom he starred down at from eyes framed by dark circles.

"I assure you, I am far from just a boy, and am more than quite aware of the laws and actions of this country, my dear. "He replied as calmly as he could, flicking his wrist in the process.

Attention was to be drawn to the signant ring he wore, one that less marked him from a noble house, and more marked him as a member of the Inquisition himself.

"I admit my methods...are a bit more pomp and flair than most, but that woman requires a quick hand, and I sought to slay first her ideals, then the speaker herself..lest she taint the masses with her silver tongue yes? " He spoke his case still, though he felt himself beyond her reproach to begin with.

The man bowed his head in respect, before trying to adjust the collar of his shift.

"I was overzealous, and I do apologize for such. Better for me to snuff out a rat than burden our Templars and busy knights with such rabble I presume. You have my most sincere apologies for the scene..."He bowed deeply, almost too much for show, than a sign of actual respect.

The armor clad miqo'te, fulms shorter than the man presently opposite her but twice her size in wrath, seethed at the man's words. Her eyes narrowed as she noted the ring upon his finger and she glared silently for several moments before scoffing and jerking a dismissive hand in front of her face, "Hmph. Ishgard is a nation of laws; the laws of the heavens and the laws of the Church. An inquisitor should know better than to act to supersede them. And in front of a whole crowd no less!"

The dragoon, clad in the armor of her station and bearing the markings of her rank, shook her head from side to side, "You are lucky you are not some addled and glory-craving civilian. I do not need to tell you the punishments that have been delivered for vigilante executioners." With a sigh she continues, "I as much as any loyal servant of Halone appreciate the vigor with which Ishgard's inquisitors execute their duties. It is a good work to root out evil and corruption at its source, but it is a work that must be done within the parameters established by the wisdom of our forebears!"
