Tonight we had one of our good friends, Cirina Malqir, take over the magic class today, in which we learnt ourselves on the basis of Arcanima , and the theory behind how to use Grimoires. This also included the basics of summoning carbuncles, and how to use different aspects to empower them... also studying on how aether crystals can be used to hold aspected aether and siphon energy from them for spells! Today Miss Misuzu gave us an interesting class on survival, mainly based on how to properly behave if you want to befriend certain beasts, proving your worth to animals so they see you as friend, not foe by certain steps. For this particular lesson the class were told to practise on the baby couerls that were around the place, using crabs legs and a ripped item of clothing so the cub could recognise you as a friend in other times and also befriend you whilst you are there. During the lesson we also got told the theory of how to relate to other classes of animals, and the fact that some will be harder than others.. as a plus note the class had to hunt for the crabs legs from smaller crabs, as a practise on how to hunt for food. Higura Posted June 23, 2016 Author Share #28 Posted June 23, 2016 Back to school dance. 6/23 The school gathered in the Ballroom to participate in the back to school dance; with friends from HH-RP and AW-RP, as well as Algar and Haven showing up and attending alongside the staff and students. With custom music; and dancing had by all, everyone had a lot of fun. With various prizes being given out, such as Moonfire clothing, orchestrion rolls, and various pets; they then partook in trivia questions; giving out 100k for each question answered correctly. Following this was a triple triad tournament, Von'ni Sayomi won this through her sheer willpower. (and probably protection from Halone.) Everyone more or less got to dance with each other; and the night winded closed with a song performance by one of their freinds D'emi from Haven's hearth. Today in Physical education Jordan first took us on a rather scenic sprint through the lavender beds, getting us all ready for the lesson ahead!, despite people being rather worn out, it was only better exercise for them all. The task at hand was to do twenty pushups each between us..whilst a lot of people had a struggle with it first, with professor jordans, and the partners help and support, we all got it done by the end, feeling worn out, but also better for it by the end! Jordan then questioned everyone about what they would want to improve on, it seems agility and leg strength seems to be on the list for the lessons to come! and certianly so.. as the run back to school was that much longer! Today in class we focused on keeping aether efficiency and explaining more theory on how to do so with your body behaviour, a continuation on last week at the first, with asking everyone why they wished to learn arcanima, and what they wish to continue on. Afterwards Professor Cirina lead us outside where she planned to use the teachings she had on action, demonstrating how to prepare and use a ruin spell on the target dummies, where the students had to do so afterwards. Whilst there were some that struggled, they were helped by the teacher, and had enough time to practise enough till they got the spell right! After that the students were given homework to practise said spell for next lesson, and try an get a handle of how to cast and prepare with a grimoire! Link to comment
Higura Posted July 18, 2016 Author Share #31 Posted July 18, 2016 As the looming threat of the Elemental Defense System; and it's activation loomed in the minds of the staff of St. Reinette's an unexpected visit from Heartsong Sanctuary happened. Staff and students mingled with these folks from the refugee center, and they all shared a dinner together. Despite being decidedly awkward, and ideals about how to help people clashed. Higura, the Headmistress of St. Reinette's, believed that by preventing something from ever occurring, it was a good policy for the school; while Kulain, the appointed leader of the Heartsong; thought that people learn from their mistakes. They should be allowed freedom to learn right from wrong. Overall, everyone enjoyed themselves. Thank you to everyone from the company that stopped by; it was a lot of fun! Link to comment

Each student and staff was made to climb upon a training dummy; and practice standing on one foot, doing a hand stand, and attempting a backflip. The lesson went well, with no injuries; and everyone had a lot of fun! Link to comment

Staff and students of St. Reinette's University gathered together at the school's privately owned tavern; to enjoy food, alcohol; and musical entertainment provided by Sulahn Da'assan. They celebrated the moonfire faire; by shooting off fireworks together in the yard. Everyone enjoyed themselves and thankfully didn't lose any fingers, toes, or eyes in the process. 8/9 Combat class with Von'ni Sayrillont! Taking a trip to the central shroud, the class learned the importance of weapon maintenance, and spent the lesson sharpening; and cleaning their weapons. Afterwards; Higura and professor Jordan Kennedy scouted out both Tam-Tara Deepcroft, and Haukke Manor, looking for suitable locations to deploy a device developed by the R&D team to help the school defend itself from any troublemakers. The two need seek out the assistance of the Twin Adders to gain entry to the manor; a task they would need save for another day... Link to comment

It was friday, same as every week, Arcanima class with Cirina Malqir occured. The class focused on the application and usage of enchanted ink and how it could be used in a variety of ways. Namely its usage in grimoires; but also its use in hiding text in a book, or how it has been used to conceal treasure maps in the past. Link to comment

A sport that involved a lot of grappling. Those who showed up were pitted against one another in various match ups; and everyone had a fairly fun time. Physical education class occurs every Sunday at 4 PM EST/ 9 PM London time. All are welcome to attend. Link to comment

Invitations were sent out to many companies, and the school announced the Ball to the public. As such, there were many people coming and going, with at one point there being over SIXTY guests! Needless to say, our headmistress; and her staff were a little overwhelmed, but took charge of the event, playing music, dancing with folks, and hosting an event giveaway. Guest appearances by Winds of Hope, and the dastardly Spriggan Squad. Thanks again to everyone who showed up! I hope everyone enjoyed themselves! <3 Link to comment

Coaxing two very unhappy Xaela into the performace; the show was about a Black Mage named Oengus, and his plan to use a nameless voidsent to assassinate the High Magi of Nym. The voidsent refused to do his biddng, and made haste for Vylbrand; in an attempt to warn the Magi of the coming threat of Ozma. The lesson focused on a popular piece of Ishgardian literature known as “Sammioux and Cossette.” A tale about two star crossed lovers from different high houses. The lesson was an introduction to famous literary works as a whole, and had the biggest lesson turn out in ages. A whole twelve students were in attendance! Good thing we invested in more desks! Next week, the lesson will focus on other great literature from Ishgard, written by the same author. As always, lesson are held nearly every day at four PM EST/ nine GMT. Every wednesday at 4 PM EST / 9 PM GMT in Lavender Beds, ward 2, plot 54. A warm, relaxed environment, friendly staff, and stage performances. It's right down the road from the main University building in plot 33 too! We're hiring staff for the Grandfather clock, as well as always seeking staff and students for the University itself; so feel free to contact myself or the others listed in the opening post of this thread! Divided into seasons based upon the free company main story questline; a season entails a section of story that plays alongside classes and school events. Season four is the beginning of the technical third year of school. Classes being hosted so far are: Combat with Renlador Nevay Animal Husbandry with Panelle Siobahn. Arcanima with Kinono Kino. Class times and dates will be posted where and when I get time; but the most likely place will be on our discord, so if you'd like an invite; ask. Changes for season 4. 1. School building redesigned. (you can view the gallery of changes here) 2. Added a simulation chamber for VR combat scenarios based on Allagan technology. 3. Planned groundwork for upcoming school events. Thursday 10 PM EST - Arcanima with Kinono Kino Friday 6 PM EST - Animal Husbandry with Panelle Siobahn These lessons will take place within the school on the second floor in the classroom or in Friday's lesson's case; likely taking place in the school yard. Feel free to sit in on a lesson if you have interest in joining, or simply wish for your character to interact with a bunch of nerds. The poll will close on the 17th, giving everyone plenty of time to vote and make sure the show they want to see is put on. Once voting completes, we'll put out a bunch of advertisements for the date of the play, and encourage everyone to come see its performance! You can submit your vote on our google form here. Sixty years after the Great Earthquake, the ruins of an Allagan building seem to be the simulation’s objective. Guided by a Guide node, it led them through the ‘halls’ of the facility, explaining its origins, and perhaps a peek into the truth of the Simulation. I haven't posted much in the way of schedules for the school due to the fact that we currently only have one teacher. If you, or someone you know, would like to teach for the school, please contact me! We accept a wide range of courses, provided you're able to consistently host a class and can work well with other people and help them learn! In other news, the Hunchback of Notre Dame play has been pushed back due to complications with those involved. So the next public events will be the second annual Masquerade Ball in October. Additionally, I've added two additional members as points of contact for the school.
